Mercedes and Volkswagen Passat ADAC. Full renovation of Siku No. V319 and Siku No. 1312 models.

- The main character of this film is a Mercedes manufactured by Siku on a scale of 1:60, used to tow cars in ADAC colors. This abbreviation stands for both an insurance company and roadside assistance, called yellow angels in Germany. I got this model from my friend Thomas from Germany. I decided to include a Volkswagen Passat Variant ADAC, also a Siku model. I filled in the missing parts of both models and painted them in line with the original ones. I also recreated the decals based on photos I took before the renovation. These are two very interesting models that do not appear very often on the diecast market. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can turn on subtitles in your language with commentary on the activity in the video.

I'm surprised, that the original rope is still there. (Something like that often got “lost”... I speak from my own experience 🤣)

Die Reparatur des VW hecks ist super und den alten Mercedes wieder in neuem Glanz zu sehen... unbezahlbar 🤩

Another fabulous restoration Paul. The passat repair is excellent and a clear xcreen on the Mercedes truck looks much better than the original coloured screen. All the best Michael
Siku's first model had clear plastic glass and other decals on the side like on Paul's repro box.
I don't like the green and yellow windows either

Love the work , just one bet of advice ( take it or leave it ) when drilling out the rivets the bit only has to be as big as the shaft of the rivet it will be much less damage to the chassis.

Pięknie wygląda ten zestaw. Szkoda ze Siku nie wypuszczała takiego zestawu seryjnie. Jak byłem dzieciakiem dostałem od takich dziewczyn z Niemiec, które przyjeżdżały do cioci przepiękny traktor z przyczepą Siku. Była to najlepsza zabawka jaką dostałem. Skręcane koła, masa detali oraz przepiękne kolory. Ten traktor wyglądał jak prawdziwy. Zestaw ten miał numer Siku 3750 ;)
I takie rzeczy się pamięta. Pozdrawiam serdecznie
Miałem taki w 1987. Pomarańczowy z burtami i znakami drogowymi na pace. Burty były opuszczane i dezwi się otwierały.

The way you make moulds for your glass makes all parts slightly too big. It puts plastic Over the original. You should keep hollow mould and Pull plastic Inside.
it's not quite like that. after the mold is made, the silicone shrinks slightly, when it dries, the resin is poured, and when it dries, it shrinks slightly in the case of models on a scale of 1 to 43, this difference practically disappears
@@PaulRestorer 🤔 Silicone shrinks = hollow spot Bigger… resin shrinks = closer to the original hollow size = still oversized if the plastic goes “over”…
I agree it is a Tiny difference, but it would Still seem to be there???

My sandbox buddy had the Mercedes with the retractable ramps. The Passat is a way more newer model. Better fit from the time period would be the ADAC Beetle. Which I had.
ADAC= Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club (general german automobile club) the insurance was ARAG, which had a simular yellow logo.

to bardzo proste najpierw zrobiłem zdjęcie potem zdjęcie nagrałem do programu graficznego poprawiłem niedociągnięcia i wydrukowałem w drukarni cyfrowej na specjalnej kalkomanii którą można kupić w internecie można również to wydrukować na drukarce atramentowej tylko trzeba po wydruku zabezpieczyć lakierem bezbarwnym film o tym Jak powstają takie kalkomanie i jest na moim kanale Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hi Paul! I really like how you make molds and cast new parts. Have you ever thought to cast using metal for the metal parts?
Yes of course. I thought about it a few times. I have already cast such parts, for example, in the video in which I am restoring a Ferrari F1 matchbox, there is a driver cast by me from hard tin. In the old Volkswagen Beetle, also made by Matchbox, there is a rear engine cover also cast from such tin. I do it in the same silicone molds in which I cast resin parts because silicone withstands temperatures up to 350 degrees Celsius.
