- In 1968, Corgi toys released the Jaguar E Type 2+2 model. It was characterized by very precise workmanship. All parts of him were opening up. It had folding seats and a sliding rear seat. Additionally, the chassis was equipped with a plastic exhaust system. The Jaguar also had spoked rims. My model had damage to the front and rear bumpers and was missing a rear window. His tires needed to be replaced because the rubber was vulcanized. I removed all the deficiencies of this model and made a box that is not the original packaging because this model was packed in a blister. In 1970, the successor to the Jaguar Type was created in a simplified version without opening doors and an additional exhaust system. My favourite restoration so far, it was worth watching for the exhaust system alone. My hands shake too much to do this myself, but I love to watch a craftsman at work. Please keep going as long as your hands will let you Paul. 👍

Posiadam kilka modeli Jaguarów E-type, SS100, XK120. Różne skale. Samochodziki od Bburago, Maisto, Matchbox. Niestety nie posiadam twoich umiejętności. Autka zostały uszkodzone w dosyć specyficznych okolicznościach. Tak właśnie na nie patrzę.

Paul you are a master of your craft .I was offer a real jaguar of a similar colour same model in 1982 for 700 pounds slightly tired and full of rust only problem I had I only earnt 25 pound a week lol. Today's price is the sky's the limit.

Very nice work. Nice restoration, as usual. I have only one objection, despite the red color the toy actualy came in, I think it should have been painted British Racing Green. Just personal preference. In my youth, when I was boy of 9 or 10 years, I was lucky enough to have riden in an E type. A neighbor who was a state trooper befriended me and took me out for ice cream at a local Dairy Qieen in his E type. Lovely car, will never forget the experience.

I've got one of these waiting to be done, so I'm particularly glad to see this one. Mine too has a poorly sized drivers door; I'll have to see if theres a way of closing that gap a bit, plus it looks like the back bumper might be prone to twisting...... I can see yours has left a gap, even after your careful repair.

I had the 1972 model which was yellow and I think that they had refined the toy a bit by then with more flush fitting parts and plastic headlights. Lots of playtime for just a £1.

Great job as others have said. I was wondering, the gaps are pretty big on this model. How much extra work to make the panels/parts fit better? It has many body components, but this has a down side. This is a constructive point and no reflection on your masterful craftsmanship and skills.

Very interesting on the tyres Paul and the use of the oven. Have you ever used an oven or air fryer to dry paint? You can get cheap air fryers in the UK now.
Thank you very much, I have never used a deep fryer, but I often use an oven to heat paint, I never overdo it, the temperature does not exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

I noticed that your finger is still irritated and red, I think you should try to open it up, clean it. And then soak it in warm salt water, at least 2 or 3 times a day. And put some antibiotics on it. Something like Neosporin cream or use hydrogen peroxide in the brown bottle. I love your videos 😊good luck.
