Jim Shooter's blog has a lot of great behind-the-scenes info like this. Some of the inside baseball stories of what went on at Marvel back in the 80's are crazy. He also used to post a lot of invaluable guidelines about how to properly tell a story, which I think a lot of modern creators would do well to read. He was stern, and some creators like Byrne chaffed under his rules, but you can't argue with the results.
Byrne's art here is absolutely beautiful. His mastery over visual storytelling - and the ease with which he seemingly drew anything and everything - always amazed me.

Looking back, it's heartbreaking to see what we have lost with these traditional comic legends. I miss when this was a medium in and of itself rather than a stepping stone to a netflix deal. Sigh. Maybe one day, but I doubt it. Do you have a link to shooter's blog?

Thanks for sharing the roundtable discussion. It's always nice to be able go back and hear the thoughts of the legendary and talented writers and artists who worked on the comics of this era. I don't think the creative teams who work on Marvel stories nowadays could have such an in-depth conversation.

@Supertron1 These are definitely pieces ofchosteoyvto perserve. Nowadays, when "creatives" are interviewed, it's overly used quirky jokes and superficialness. I felt uncomfortable reading this because you can feel the tension and know it's raw and real lol
