I mostly use my Starlancer for moving my processed ore that I mined with my MOLE from the refinery to TDD. Works great. It's decent at bounties, too. It's just a great all-around ship.
0:56 Ya, the view reminds me of the now classic late 70's scifi series Battlestar Galactica Cylon's view through their helmets. So I'm always calling my Freelancer max and big bro here Starlancer the Cylons 1 and 2. The other classic reminder this ship gives me is the Mercury Cougar muscle car tail lights from late 60's...(ya i've been around for awhile)This ship's tail section is so much like it. The buffed stock metal look of both Free-max and this Star-max along with the rounded shape feeds my WWII buff side looking like the B-17, 52, 24 etc near the end of the war.
The doors on the lower level of the Starlancer are airlock/cargo doors. So, they'll stay opened or closed, depending on what you last set them to. The doors on the upper level of the Starlancer are automatic doors, and will always close after being opened. This is pretty great, and allows you to move easily between the multiple cargo areas easily, while keeping the living spaces sealed and safe for helmet removal. Also, you got a 1/8 SCU box, you need to get a full 1 SCU box, at least, to fit all the mined material at once, or yeah, it makes more sense to do the backpack trips. With a full 1 SCU box, you'd only need to make one trip.
When you are going to land on uneven ground, it is useful to have 'Open Exterior Doors' mapped to a button so you can deploy the ramp and see how it sits when you land.
Next time the lip of the ramp is too high to drive back on, jump out and use handheld tractor. You can't rotate the roc but you can lift it and drop it on the ramp. Saves some time. I'm currently doing this exact loop. Starlancer + roc + ATLS + pulse in the vehicle bay along with a load of 2SCU crates. Currently 1500 hadanite onboard 🤘
Whenever I tried to change to extraction beam mode on the Roc it just wouldnt switch is that a bug or do I need to buy an extraction beam module for it or was i pressing wrong button? I wasted 60k renting it and a cutlass for the day you see because the extraction beam wasnt working
Works quite well for ROC mining. But I see no benefit from it over its little cousin the Freelancer MAX. I do like the style of the Starlancer, and I think it is great for Exploration, with all the amenities (and a Nursa in the back). But for "work" I will stick my freelancer MAX.
@@zirHazeGamingfor gods sake, if all ships get rebalanced, what’s the problem? Some people just want a ship that’s meta at everything, but sorry, you can’t have a ship that handles like a Gladius, has the firepower and shields of a javelin, can carry 6 million scu that has refinery and salvage capability and never needs to be refueled or rearmed
Pro tip: Bring the rifle tractor beam with you. If the ramp isn't low enough, use the rifle tractor to put the ROC into the back.
I never even thought of that! Genius!

I love how versatile it is!

Nice! Those are some great comparisons!

Ahhh that explains the doors! Thank you! And yea, will be roc mining with 1 scu box onboard next 🙌🏽
That makes more sense to me. I couldn't figure out why they stayed open before, I thought it was a bug. lol
Try this, for extended mining, load some 1 scu boxes in the hold and transfer the mineables to them. You can get more for certain
Yeap! This is a great approach!!
You should bind a key to open the exterior, that way you can see if the ramp touches the ground when you land. Open it before landing.
Definitely doing this!

This is a must for my next run! Thank you!
Love your vids, keep up the great work :D
Thank you!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
It only took one landing where my back ramp was off the ground. Now that ramps clip through terrain, always land with ramp down 3rd person.
This right here!!
Zeus was "ok" but didnt like having to jam the two 8s on either side of the banister to fit the 100+ scu mission (8 scu max) boxes... 😅
That sounds painful 😂
Ypu could probably fit a ROC and a Nursa in the back
Yea, everyone has been suggesting the nursa. Def need to give this a try.
Hey just being helpful you know that your maxlift will pick up the roc, save moving the ship sometimes,
Yea! This is something I def didn’t think about 😅
@zirHazeGaming LOL sorry didn't know 20 ppl already commented same thing haha my bad

Damn!!! That’s a good amount of Hadanite! Great combo too! Hadanite fam!

There are no extraction beam modules for ROCs atm 😞

The Starlancer interior is so good though 😅
Dont worry too much about the responciveness of that ship, it will be nerf... erm, "balanced" by the time the next shipsale comes around...
Definitely getting “rebalanced” 😅

@@velocitymgTY for saying that! I get people love their metas but dang! Maybe it’ll work out down the road
