There is no retention of wild fish on the Snake River and it's tributaries. Those are hatchery steelhead, and they're meant to be harvested. You can tell by the clipped adipose fin.
This cure is magic. I've dusted it on worms and spikes increased my catch by over 50%.
like on live worms?
ii live in ca when would be the best time to to collect the eggs. could i do this also with rainbow trout eggs since i do not live near large rivers and all thr trout i fish are stocked by dfg of ca.
say you where going to cure steelhead eggs that are out of the skein and are single, or you scraped the egg off the skein. And you sure them using Pautzke borx o fire. and you let them sit over night. when your ready to tie them into egg sacs or spawn bags do you leave the cure that is on them, or do you run them under water to get the clear off and then tie them into sacs or bags? Also when your down curing the egg do you have to let the single eggs dry or no? thanks
No need to rinse off eggs after adding cure and scent kinda defeats the purpose
do you have to put these into roe bags afterwards?
No. This is fished in an egg loop
