- Iran successfully test launched the fourth generation of Khorramshahr ballistic missile on May 25. The Kheibar missile, the latest version of the Khorramshahr, has a range of 2,000 km and is capable of carrying a 1,500 kg warhead. One of its outstanding features include quick preparation and launch time, which makes it a tactical weapon in addition to a strategic one. The name ‘Kheibar’ is a reference to a Jewish castle overrun by Muslim warriors in the early days of Islam. Iran tested its new missile days after Israel’s threat.

He was very courageous; he challenged the oligarchs and the west and refused to align with either the capitalist block or the communist block. And he created the sense of nationalism in the arab world. But on the other hand, he also persecuted the islamic movement and tried to export his revolution to other arab countries thus unnecessarily creating many enemies. He also intervened militarily in Yemen, siding with one faction against the other instead of trying to broker a peace deal or just let things play out naturally. He called the islamic movement reactionaries. He put very curropt people in positions of power. And he neglected scientists and engineers and didn't use them to improve education and improve the industrial capabilities of the country. Finally he was defeated by Israel.
What I want is a religious, father like, nationalist leader. A leader who would be a socialist in his economic policy, while respecting the religion and traditions of his people, and respects scientists and engineers, and puts competent people in positions of power, and punishes curropt people.
I am sorry to say that Gamal Abd el-nasser respected singers and actors more than engineers, scientists and religious sheikhs.
