God bless you Brother , I have a friend who is also a quadriplegic he relys more on other peoples help but I know he hates it ! Also I stretch him for about 40 mins to an 1 hour every time he goes in and out of bed the best way I can but his legs are stuck as in it won’t flatten up I stretch him as good as I can tho ! Your very inspirational keep it up brother my prayers go out to you 💯
Nobody showed me how to transfer so this is what I came up with on my own. I don’t have very strong triceps, so that’s my I used my elbow on the wheelchair cushion. Give it a try the way I show in this video. Also, I use a sliding board now because it’s easier on the skin. Let me know if you need any help!
Noticed that in this video, you have slippery pants. Are these ok? Too hot & sweaty? Or too slippery? Hard to wash? One of the male quads in my quad support self-group (Sydney, Australia, 1980) amputated both legs at the knee. Would this be useful? He is deceased now. Now there are other options. Motorized beds that raise & lower (& tilt), like mine.
Yes, I have not had any problems with silk shorts. However, I normally wear cargo shorts. No, getting your legs amputated is risky. Yes, that's how my bed is. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hmmm...in this video and the one with the bed to chair transfer...you are putting your seat belt on and then taking it off...but I thought you didn't even use a seatbelt? 🤔 What's the story Jack? 😂
@@masonx54 just razzing you. I assumed it was before your chair went skidding off a ramp 🤣. Not sure why the laugh face there I would have had to change my pants 😳. Except for your poor mom's almost heart attack, I'm glad no one was hurt.
@@morgancalvi6675 Well Mason said that he didn't wear a seatbelt during the crash and then you said "you are putting your seat belt on and then taking it off...but I thought you didn't even use a seatbelt?" so I thought that was some twised joke haha
I hope you have a great day and weekend
You’re a trooper, bro!
