In an interview it looks like Elon Musk spoke about Polygon (MATIC) today. Twitter actually has a deal with MATIC, so the next Dogecoin is coming? Anyone knows about it?
I like it when an average person, like the interviewer, finds themselves in opposition to Musk and automatically digs-in their heels. One thing I heard Elon say, and I don’t think he conveys it clearly in interviews, is if one out of every 5 billion people is Einstein then providing internet and simple infrastructure to every human increases the likelihood of finding another Einstein. Going to space and expanding our population to other planets will do the same. The problem is not over population but allowing the people with the genius to innovate and discover to be connected with rest of humanity. The next Elon Musk might be being born in rural India or China right now but not have the access to education or internet and what wonders would humanity miss out on if that was so.
'Expanding our population to other planets' 🤣 the human decay of colonisation exists even now. I hope the indigenious aliens, should they inhabit, teach them a lesson! So entitled & arrogant we are. Humans will descend into extinction through their desire to exist forever!

Well, not true, he dodged a few questions. For example, whether he would allow a sitting US president to encourage a coup over twitter, like Trump did. The degree of sanity is directly related to the care a person has for his environment, and what his/actions brings to the benefit of others, the fauna, flora and Earth's future. Elon Musk's sanity compass points true North. Bless him. I think we all need to focus more on these long-term values, and much less on the immediate satisfaction of our feelings and our senses. I disagree, this guy is one of the most manipulative persons I have ever seen. Besides, I lost all faith in Elon Musk as a man over that business in Thailand.
Elon Musk is an overall benefit for the environment, but he's not an environmentalist. He doesn't think current CO2 level is a crisis, and he mind-blowingly stupidly rhinks the current human population of 8 billion is sustainable, when no knowledgeable ecologist agrees with him. Even when and if we transition to renewable energy, overfishing, deforestation, desertification, conversion of wilderness to agriculture, depletion of freshwater supplies, erosion of topsoil, plastic pollution, will all continue because it's far cheaper to degrade and exhaust natural resources than to do things sustainably. EVERY SINGLE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM IS LESSENED WITH FEWER PEOPLE.
Unfortunatetly Elon Musk did not enjoy this interview for sure... the one reading the questions is so stupid acting like Examiner...and not nice ... But God will help Elon Musk to succeed and make the World better and he is showing that before everything we are Humans not just concern about money.. Everything that we can buy with money is cheap!! Now I know why there was so much cut out of the interview: Elon responded to a question that this is not the place to announce new products or factories and the interviewer continuously asked questions about new products, a new factory in Indonesia, a new factory in Shanghai etc. Elon repeatedly said he will not answer this. What a bad interviewer. Also: As the "Global Industry Correspondent" he frequently asked questions Elon had answered months and years ago.

With an undergraduate physics degree and wide-ranging reading I'm sure he knows far more about both subjects than the average person, but that doesn't mean his expertise extends to those fields.
What a biased and poor interviewer - his questions are leading and biased, based on unproven assumptions, and clearly exhibit a clear lack of understanding for the problems Elon is trying to address. Elon is very smart in his responses. The interviewer should be embarrassed! Then he doesn't even hear that when Elon says that this is not the place - the interviewer keeps pushing - NOT GOOD at all!
FT should be ashamed of themselves for this horrible quality of an interview. Instead of focusing on the achievements and future aspirations, they attack the man himself. No one is perfect in this world. This interviewer and FT are the reason why people view the world so negatively.

The questions would have been more useful financially if you asked Elon specific questions about supply chain, not high level "will you buy this or that", such a stupid thing to ask. Or you could go back to the questions on Tesla earnings calls and ask Elon to elaborate now for the questions he dismissed (which made huge news back then). You don't balance an interview's tough questions with a mini documentary of all of Elon Musk's staggeringly impressive achievements. I wish FT had asked some better tough questions, like why has Tesla fallen so behind in solar, whether selling Powerwalls has stopped Tesla from offering Vehicle 2 Home/Grid capabilities in its cars, how Tesla will overcome its reputation for poor quality cars, whether Boring Company tunnels will be open to all EVs or just autonomous Teslas, etc.

He is generous beyond common understanding. Goodness always prevails and the energy force favors it. IMO
Best quote. Also Tesla and Elon have demonstrated this ethos time and again over many years.
this is so insightful and deep, it’s philosophy. That ethic he shows is incredibly powerful and is the source of his endless energy and mental and physical stamina, his purpose. He is aligned with truth and that alignment and intimate commitment to being with truth, makes him fearless. Elon is an outstanding thinker and that’s why so many of us admire him and get a glimpse of hope in our souls when he speaks. His work and his word, his thinking, is remarkable and will stay with us for a long, long time.
On the subject of letting trump back on twitter...the interviewer tries so hard to get Elon to agree with the false premise of the question. Elon is too smart and wont do it. Good for him.
So obvious, thanks for writing this so I didn't have too.
At the very least, if one finds themself in opposition to a genius, one should take a moment for reflection. But I guess stupid is as stupid does. Can't expect morons to not be morons.

Terrible interviewer when we know his politics from a question smh
FT should be ashamed of itself with this poor interviewer. Ive been reading FT many years and they always seemed to critise Elon, instead of praising his unbelievable achievement. The FT spin comes off so strong in this interview. Its not even the full interview and it's cut. Pathetic FT. Used to be good.
So true Dom. The interviewer was pathetic and with an intent to criticize Elon than to learn from him.
I'm a fan of Elon, but the interviewer did ask necessary questions and elicit good responses.

I love the fact that Elon considers the question, then gives a concise answer. Amazing. I love listening to him. He dodges nothing.
Well, not true, he dodged a few questions. For example, whether he would allow a sitting US president to encourage a coup over twitter, like Trump did. The point of the question was obviously not Trump, but whether a coup attempt over twitter would be ok with him. I guess the fact that he evaded the question (by being somewhat offensive) probably says something.

The degree of sanity is directly related to the care a person has for his environment, and what his/actions brings to the benefit of others, the fauna, flora and Earth's future.

Now I know why there was so much cut out of the interview:
Elon responded to a question that this is not the place to announce new products or factories and the interviewer continuously asked questions about new products, a new factory in Indonesia, a new factory in Shanghai etc.
Elon repeatedly said he will not answer this. What a bad interviewer.
Also: As the "Global Industry Correspondent" he frequently asked questions Elon had answered months and years ago.

Come on. Elon Musk has demonstrated no ability and made no contribution to theoretical physics or quantum mechanics either theoretically or practically. With an undergraduate physics degree and wide-ranging reading I'm sure he knows far more about both subjects than the average person, but that doesn't mean his expertise extends to those fields.

Good Evening Elon, This speech regarding Twitter is interesting. I miss Twitter as it was a brilliant chatty platform for friends medium, After all life is meant to be Sociable and that's what I miss! my friends!! Your Tesla. Car production is very Stylish. I
think you should continue with the production. A
Good interview. J L Drew.
My favorite African American.
6:25 WHAT?? Elon is a toup'ed elephant? Hmm. Could be. Reincarnations of elephants are very special beings. Michael Palin was recognized as an elephant reincarnation. 6:28 Does Donal Trump wear a toupe? I always thought that was his real hair.
He does deserve a clap indeed
32:33 You have a fundamental dimensional problem...you have tall 3D multi dimensional buildings.....you want to take them in and out of this area on a 2D network and not have traffic. A recipe for traffic (!) ....so, 3D up and 3D down now you have matching dimensionality. " paraphrasing but it hit me....the tunnels are many, many layers of roads not just a 2D road lowered underground. Think of 2, 3, 4 clover leaves as needed where needed....THAT makes sense! Didn't see it before....2D vs 3D roadways. I see!!
So straight. He's put himself in a position where he can be truthful; he seems to care about us all, mankind; and his intellect has led him to the practical merit of good values.
I don't think he care about others. This guy is one of the most manipulative persons I have ever seen. And a narcissist for sure. He uses others to reach his goals
25:14 Elon proves he is a clown 🤡 once again. Claiming scooters are more dangerous than a car.. This is only true given the fact that "infrastructure" is designed around a car and not scooters/bicycle..
Hey Elon maybe you should invest your money in creating a city where a car is not needed. And see how safe a scooter can be.
Wow! Awesome : the reality of good . We need more of this instead of the “ perception of everything”
Since Elon purchased Twitter and won’t silence conservatives I may buy a Tesla now
