I seriously cant figure how this band gets any hate what so ever there live performance is top notch energy love this band
It’s the cheesy lyrics. ‘You wana mess with me, I’m a tough guy’, ‘girlfriend broke up with me’……it a little lame.
@@uncoiledfish2561 I cant change your mind man if you dont like them you dont like them. I dont get it but I'm sure you can tell me a band you really are into I don't like. It is what it is I guess
@@bcwright7768 oh I listen to limp biz kit. I just know why people hate them. 🤣 Guitarist seems cool as fuck
Tru, especially with Wes Borlands Unorthodox persona onstage and totally artistic guitar playing
@@uncoiledfish2561 it's fred. He's talented but he's kind of a douche too. Wes leaving after chocolate starfish, the peak of LB, is telling.
WES BORLAND IS A GENIUS
Yes sir he is!!
Still is! Great guitar tones searcher !!!!
A lot people say this, but at the end of the day he is the guitarist for the lamest, most cringe band in history.
@@destructocid You meant best nu metal band in history. Yes for sure. And wes his idol was Kurt Cobain wich created his own style.
@@ibelieveinsomething3895 Kurt didn’t create his own style, he thought he was creating punk rock music. The media created the grunge label. And yeah Limp bizkit may be the best by metal band in history, but that’s just like winning the special olympics.
the musical talent of this band is greatly misrepresented
And those hypnotic Sam Rivers basslines.
I love Wes Borland. What a charismatc and talented guitarist!
Never mind anyone's particular opinion on the band but that motherfucker is criminally underrated. He's SO GOOD!
Yeah, Wes is the man, his energy is off the charts, weirdly unique, but always seems totally natural. Great riff writer, texture player, and stage energy.
That’s what I’m saying my dude one of my favorite guitarists and Fred durst is just a furious anchovie on meth defiant ass mother fucker
That bassline...
2:59
didn't know john lennon was a limp bizkit fan
This is from the Family Values Tour 98 home video.
I went to the concert in my hometown - I vividly remember twisting the shit out of my ankle while moshing to Bizkit and sitting out until Korn - then I got kicked in the head by a body surfer while I was surfing and got dropped.
I was 15 and in pain until Christmas that year.
i would take the pain anytime so re experience this magic moment. I used to download that video as a little shit and watched this 100thausand times. I was obsessed with this video.
That's what I call a good time.. 🤣🔥🤣🔥🤣
1:11 When my girl says she’s ready in bed.
Hahaha
🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
👌🤣
Still have this on VHS 🤘🔥
How old are you, Jordan? Does anyone under 25 know them in US nowadays?
@@jaupolio I'm 44yr
The family values vhs? Got that too! 👍
@@jaupolio i’m 16 and i love them lol
@@kennedypeyton4543 how famous are they in US? I think every fucking body kinda heard of em once in life but in a ridiculed way. True that?
wes borland literally plays two guitars at the same time, what a legend.
What do you mean?
@@Ruktiet Listen to other live performances of "Counterfeit" (e.g. Woodstock '99) and you will notice how this particular one sounds amazing, as if there were two guitars playing.
@@TheKafkianProcess ok cool thanks for sharing
He makes very good use of the delay effect
This album was so good, it was the SHIT back in middle school
The intro of this song is one of the best EVER, esp live with all of Borland's fills.
Saw this in 1998 State Palace Theater in N.O. with Korn and Helmet. Fieldy’s bass shook the seats out of the theater. Limp Bizkit was selling the Three Dollar Bill e.p. On cassette after the show…it had Counterfeit and Faith on it.
This was going on during the tour for Life is Peachy, when Korn was still absolutely rabid…
after 22 years...now i just realized, if wes borland using 7 string guitar in this live...
ibanez rg7620 with dimarzio pickups and floyd rose
i have the rg7321
@@wesew it's a Hardtail and at least after 98 swapped Emg's in it
Yea, but he never actually used it as a 7 string. He used it as a 6 string with 2 high e’s.
Yeah only did it cause of his relationship with korn in the start..
Great show. They kick ass. Love Wes outfit
His get up makes him look like an edgy teenager
This cd is soooo good.indigo flow and pollution jammmm.
I still have this vhs somewhere. I think I was playing Dreamcast by this point. Maybe Sega Saturn and PSX. Such a good time for metal and gaming.
Fred Durst starred in an ad for SEGAnet that said something like, "if you're getting your ass kicked, it's probably me on the other end of the line". Funny stuff.
Definitely not metal no where near it people really need to go and see a metal band cause this ain't one
I still have it. Family Values tour 98.. I loved that VHS
@@fredlivingston3766 nu-metal.
I miss you 1998
That tone from Borland tho..
Never notticed that Wes is using killswitch in this song, sounds dope.
what a show. what a band. unique
That intro is so good and fits with the song, idk why they scrapped it from their record
what? They played it almost exactly how it's on the record... Wes just added a bit of fill to the intro
I was refering to the electronic part
Like before the guitar comes in the intro
@@anobody8640 oh right right gotcha
yeah they usually have different intros and interludes between songs during live shows
I went to this show it was great to see live,,,, this is when Bizkit an Kid Rock were just breaking out. I went to another show around this time in Biloxi, MS where Kid Rock opened for Limp Bizkit and Joe C. was riding around on a donkey covered in Christmas lights. Oh, the early dayz!
Wasn’t this family values 98?
This was the bomb back in my late teens had this on vhs.
nostalgia
Saw the exact same show in 98 in Montreal. Their strenght is live performances! They re just the best in that department!
Saw this tour back in the day. Was sick as hell. 1st time I saw these guys was at a small festival in Chicago parking lot where the Bulls played. Sugar Ray was a on the B-stage as both we're playing. Both bands were great simultaneously. And a year later roughly went and saw them perform a secret show on the roof of Wax Trax studios. So fuckin awesome!
2022
1:45 Very nice part Wes. You GOD😈
This is the exact video and tour first bought me off with whole video was like huge to rockers back then and still is amazing 😍🤩
I believe Mr Trump learned the red hat and being hated is more valuable than being loved from Mr Durst.
Mr Durst is much smarter then he seems
Fred Durst is only a character he is playing. Everything is planned.
Who else still has the original Fanily Values 98 tour VHS? I do... i watched this video soooo many times back then.. I still have SlipKnot welcome to our neighborhood VHS, ICP Shocumentry and Big Money Hustlas.. i abused my VCR back then lol not to mention all the skateboard VHS I had too.. Osiris The Storm I watched endlessly too. Sorry this shit really brings me back to the old days 🤘🤘
I hear you, brother!
Looking sharp Wes
This was my favorite era of his costume evolution.
Fred Durst got destroyed by medias because he prob did not wanna sell out. Best entertainer in my opinion to get a crowd going
Ive seen a ton of bands live and I still say to this day there aren't many that could hold a candle to this band live in their prime. Its a very short list. You felt the raw energy that they brought on stage in the crowd. Its something that i can't explain to you unless you experienced it yourself. You definitely missed out if you didn't see this band back in the day
Good to see you guys got ur own channel now!! Keep Rockin'!!
Say what you want about this band, a great song is a great song.
the most underrated LB song. the last third rocks hard!
Awesome!
It's amazing!
I wore this VHS tape out back in the day
4:32 it would be so nice to find instrumental like this.
2:58 man looks like Lennon, I like:)
Yesirr 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥
Best performance ever
3:30 Fred Durst turns into Adam Sandler Shaba-Doo Shaba-Doo
😂
Underrated comment !!!
Dope !!
04:48 Wooou!!
Wish I could see these guys including korn and soad during this era. Too bad I was an infant
Lol same. I was 4 months at this gig
I'm 35 years old and I love Ween and have one of my best friends because of Wes Borland
🤘 limp bizkit baby
That bass lineee!!!!!!!! , but what i love the most always be WES BORLAND
I had this vhs .. bought it at coconut music 🤘🏻
1:05 velociraptor shriek
I LOVE THIS BAND,...WTF
3:00 Jhon Lenon :0
Underrated!
Best song from limp Bizkit debut album "THREE DOLLAR BIL Y'ALL"
What Fred says at 4:47?
Whaouhhhh !!!
It’s a shame they don’t play much from this album live anymore. I get it’s not as big as the the next two but theirs some serious bangers on three dollar bills!
The live versions of Counterfeit are always better than the album version.
Wes Borland Gxxd Style.
Saw them n Montreal in 99 if I remember well
Was fakin A
Wheres the new album already!!!!
Excellent.
Never understood what Johns makeup was supposed to be lol
I think it's supposed to look like jungle camo since it's a weird mix of green and black.
Yea , and they had some Cambodia nights where they had army DJ set up and army net as a Scene Drop
It's supposed to be muddy
Wes intro😍
I was at the show
Ah the Ibanez days.
The fucking vulture trot, lol. I love it
Love the old UFO set.
Fred looks like a large Joe C
Are they ever going to release a live album?
1:48
Where’s the plywood?
Daughters account. I was 9 then damn I feel fuckin old
Fred dust crazy
Somesay chrollo lucilfer style come from wes borland
John Oto..
John lenon enyoing limp bizkit 2:58
The thing on Wes’s face looks like he’s doing facial tracking for avatar.
How are you going to help his lil I phone
Was 10000p heavi er in Aust....
Wes is great.... he's always Wes.... doesn't dress like the rest of the band :)
Madd props to the people trying to slam lol next time go see slaaaayyyyweerrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or Exodus!!!
Rock on!
☮️💜
I need a pair of those sweatpants. Burn the hat though
Ironic because this was so obviously overdubbed.
Crazy to think that these fans are in the 80s right now.
Wes Borland was able to pull off the outfit and make it cool and bad ass were as Kiss just looked lame
Look he has hair!
What is this thing that Wes has around his neck?
Maybe are a wireless microphones, i think
It was kind of led lights. Appearing to be some type of cyberpunk stuff.
Don't know dude
Harmonica holder
I thought it was lights or pyrotechnics but Yeah its a harmonica holder
I honestly think the band gets so much shit because of their name..Me and all my friends hated them in high school..We were in high school right when they came out..I mean they had a few songs that were a bit dumb but don't they all..But as I was saying..I enjoy alot of the tunes now but I still can't stand the name lol. So that's really all I can think of we had to judge them on Cause we didn't even listen to them..
I think they got the hate because most alternative rock fans were angry that the nu metal shit was overtaking alt rock radio, also Fred comes across as the jock in school that bullies people, meanwhile we had just had a phase where the "kid that keeps to himself" was the rock star..
I never liked this band, I still don't. But now that time has passed, I honestly don't mind listening to them now.
