Thanks to you and Berry Berry Sneaky, I was able to do this to my 12 in 1 cabinet I just picked up a couple days ago. This is the one cab I won't mod with a pi. I only did this mod and fixed the spinner. Thank you so much!
I just got a Rampage unit, today. It was made in February, 2019. It's screen is all washed out, and A1up claims it can't be fixed. I noticed your screen looks well balanced, nearly perfectly, actually. Did your come like that, or did you use the menu? Thanks.
Has anyone tried this for the MK cabinet yet? I'll definitely do this as the brightness is too high for my liking if it's emulation is based off mame. A better question is, does it save the settings after you adjust it?
Stupid question, but does this only work with USB 2.0 cables? So, no USB 3.0 cables? I tried it with one on hand, and it isn't working... I also tried it on a MK2 cabinet... Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not...
Hi there. I bought a new Ms Pacman Galega Pub Table. It has a small SD card slot, USB slot, and also a Micro USB slot. Would love to add Donkey Kong/jr/3, Popeye, and maybe others. Wondering if you've figured that out and can help a newbie like me???
I just bought the mortal Kombat 1,2,3 and it’s pixelated to hell.. want to know if it’s possible to add bilinear filtering in mame settings .. is it possible ?
Question for you. I have the big buck hunter game and I switched out the monitor for a big 40 inch tv and it works. The problem I have is some games cut in and out for a second. So if I am playing a game that I have to shoot the frogs over to the other side (kind of like frogger) The screen goes black for a second and comes back. It doesn't happen to all the games and when it does happen to certain games it does it like 1-4 times during the active game. Is there a way you can hack into 1up big buck hunter MB and change the NOSSC to freerun? Someone said that should fix it, even geekworm said it, but they said since 1up is a finish product it can't be done. At least they won't do it I should say. Any chance you can look into that if you have the big buck hunter? Thank you!
I have the 12 in 1 atari. Before I go and do this. Do the settings save after you close it out and reboot the unit? I see the top scores dont save. I was Just wondering if the unit boots from a preset and override any changes
I'm not sure if you've done the mod or not, but I just did tonight to my 12n1, and it doesn't seem to keep any settings that i change. Not even the new volume settings. After I exit to any other game, then go back to the previous game, everything is reverted back to the settings that A1up has set. I'd love to know a way to save the settings.
What specific game? I have mine unplugged unless I play it and Quantum for example has kept the settings. "the settings" was the trackball sensitivity. Asteroids Deluxe has kept the 3 lives start. Havoc kept the spinner sensitivity settings. Other settings I didn't really need or care to change. I was thinking next time I had time I would see if I could make Lunar Lander use the spinner to have variable thrust (more like the arcade had) vs the current button which is just on-off. I also changed the volume in one game but I can't remember which one it was now... so I can't validate that one.
Just a idea a better way to have the keyboard xome to the front of the cabinet why not put it through the hole in rhe backdoor at the top of the cabinet and then have it come out of the control panel somehow
Please, I can't access the hidden menu even with a keyboard. In the beginning of operation, the menu did work with a button in the joypad, nowadays, neither controller or keyboard, it is definitely hidden.

Was hoping there would be a way to change some of the SF2 settings. I forgot how much the CPU absolutely cheats in that game. Messing around with it after some parts swapping, playing against CPU DeeJay and he can throw Max Out's as fast as you can throw Strong punches.
this is a great question I've been wondering this for about a year now and couldn't find any UA-cam videos on it I would love to know this answer also!
If you don't know how to solder, you can also tape down the stripped wire ends down to the correct pads, just be careful that it doesn't come undone while using it.

Kinda disappointing to see clearly that this is just a very limited mame box. I thought there might be something a little more original going on from Arcade 1 Up.
Many thanks ETA Prime for the kind shout out .. Game on sir!
@ hey berryberry sneaky .. hope u join us at the official arcade1up fan page
Also hit me up if u have time
Why didn’t you talk about accessing the other games on the Rampage Board?
Thank God you installed mame!
Can someone verify that we can remap the defender controls please? A video would be helpful. Thanks!
Did you try getting a terminal on it by pressing ctrl + alt + f1 / f2 / f3 / ....?
Sony classic & arcade 1up are funny for this right now

I would like to know what happens when you use another male to 2 female usb splitter so you can use a flash drive AND keyboard at the same time.
I tried it and mame just can’t see the flash drive. Tried all types of formats also.

what games are in the mortal kombat pcb?

Are we still stuck with only having to change the guts of the Street Fighter cabinets in order to change the difficulty and speed settings of SSF2T?

I wonder how much power comes off it and if it's strong enough to power 4 leds with it?
So my wired keyboard lights up but key strokes do not respond on a sf2 cabinet. Any guesses?
I have a ridge racer machine with both USB and a SD card . I hear if I upload .apk mame games it will play them if i use a USB controller
Any thoughts on replacing the marquee with a stretched lcd bar. Would it require 2 rpi
How about forgetton worlds in an arcade one up or hyperspn 1tb in an arcade one up mod ?

Wow, and it's a post mame-2010 build. The PI3 struggles with that version.
If this can be hacked to add games, what could run better here than on Pi3? Curious~
No, it's not. They just recompiled an older one and stripped out options.

Isnt it illegal to be commercially selling something with MAME??
I can see it now. Arcade1Up printing up "It's not MAME" stickers and plastering them everywhere.
👍
Arcade 1up said they used their own custom software, haa, you can probably add games now.
They do. Only the early games use MAME, and even then it was a custom compiled version.
