Flash forward, and Capcom was Sega's top publisher for the Saturn and Dreamcast, even using Sega's Naomi board for all of their Arcade games of the period.

Nice vid Sega Lord X.👍 2:27 I would love to agree. But after playing both, I would say Powerstone 2 was good, for 4 player fun and content, despite the fact that alot of combos, moves, characters and abilities were missing. But I would give the star points to Powerstone 1, because it had more moves, combos, specials, super moves and stages for each character, that added to the story and characters personalities. And it also had some memorable stages, and stage music, and cheap yet memorable final bosses.

Very neat video. Indeed, the Dreamcast had excellent ports of Capcom games across the board. Not sure if you are saving it for the second part, but it's also worth noting that the DC also had the best port of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. It plays incredibly well and has a wealth of options not found either in its arcade incarnation nor other ports.

The Dreamcast was so bad ass thanks to Capcom and Sega's titles. My far my favorite console! Also, the Tech Romancer announcer is also the Street Fighter Alpha 3 announcer
Capcom really made the Dreamcast shine, just like squaresoft did with the PS1. Marvel vs Capcom 2, and Capcom vs SNK 2 are still the greatest fighters ever made and play arcade perfect on the dc.
Never heard of Tech Romancer before, looks great tho Also people still prefer Zero 3 on Saturn than dreamcast, it seems there's some kind of input delay in the Dreamcast versions, many people says it feels"off"
Most common complaint for the DC version is the gameplay tweaks that made it feel different to the arcade. Saturn version's gameplay was closer to the original.
Capcom was the strongest supporter for the Dreamcast and Resident evil 2 on the system was the best port in my opinion because the cutscenes look amazing the sound was crisp and in terms of fighting games i loved Tech romancer.
Jesus this was a year one line up!? I had all these games but i didn’t know they were all back to back like that. Anyone who says games aren’t better back then are out of their minds
Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Gamecube and the Playstation Vita are the three most underrated consoles of all time. All were pretty amazing, had potential too. Also wish Sega hadn't stopped becoming a console manufacturer, since I would've loved to see a Sega Dreamcast 2, and even a Sega Dreamcast 3 and would've been neat to see a Dreamcast portable. Probably would've been similar to an Xbox 360 but slightly less powerful and released in late 2004/early 2005 maybe. Wish I could win the lottery so I could fund Sega, so they could make another console. I know people time after time have said that but wow, Sega dropped out of the console race so fast.
Capcoms best : Powerstone Capcoms worst : Resident Evil Powerstone is pure, unrefined fun. Resident Evil is like a good idea for a game that never really worked well in reality imo. (As much as I like most things zombie, I hated the camera angles in all RE games, and at times it just felt like a"walking simulator", walking the long distance from A to B for a key, only to go back the same way, and this would be repeated over and over again)
The one i always wanted to play but never got round to Plasma Sword. I loved Star Gladiator on PS1 as a kid, and if im not mistaken that and Resident Evil were capcoms first ever 3d developed games!
Code Veronica deserves a remake after RE3 Remake is out in a few months time, a remake could really unlock the potential of the game in full that the original release couldn't given the limitations of the technology at the time.
Vampire in Japan is Darkstalkers in the West, so Vampire Chronicle for Matching Service on the Dreamcast is Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower on the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Now that I have my DC capture sorted, I should have more DC content coming.
darthwisner47 here here!
Capcom really made the Dreamcast shine, just like squaresoft did with the PS1. Marvel vs Capcom 2, and Capcom vs SNK 2 are still the greatest fighters ever made and play arcade perfect on the dc.
Sega+Capcom=Fun
Never heard of Tech Romancer before, looks great tho
Also people still prefer Zero 3 on Saturn than dreamcast, it seems there's some kind of input delay in the Dreamcast versions, many people says it feels"off"
Most common complaint for the DC version is the gameplay tweaks that made it feel different to the arcade. Saturn version's gameplay was closer to the original.
Capcom was the strongest supporter for the Dreamcast and Resident evil 2 on the system was the best port in my opinion because the cutscenes look amazing the sound was crisp and in terms of fighting games i loved Tech romancer.
Tech romancer looks really cool. There should be more giant robot/monster games.
Capcoms best : Powerstone
Capcoms worst : Resident Evil
Powerstone is pure, unrefined fun.
Resident Evil is like a good idea for a game that never really worked well in reality imo.
(As much as I like most things zombie, I hated the camera angles in all RE games, and at times it just felt like a"walking simulator", walking the long distance from A to B for a key, only to go back the same way, and this would be repeated over and over again)
why you talk smack re is one of the best surviving horror games created along with silent hill and dino crisis
@@fullfunk I just told you why I think it's not very good imo. Read and understand.
I am a simple man, I see Dreamcast I press like
Love your videos, keep up the great content!
Thanks Matthew. Appreciate the message. :)
The dude in Code Veronica is not Leo DiCaprio, is Christian Slater, it is known.
Plasma Sword was the shit. Jojo was dope too. All the SF and Vs. Games on the DC was dope too. Underrated gems
Thank you for the great review.
The one i always wanted to play but never got round to Plasma Sword. I loved Star Gladiator on PS1 as a kid, and if im not mistaken that and Resident Evil were capcoms first ever 3d developed games!
I would of liked to have the dreamcast at the time and actually buy games like I can now
10:35 Is that a thinly disguised PlayStation logo on the building in the background?
Could have been. It ran on Playstation tech in the arcade.
I don't even own a Dreamcast, but when I saw a Japanese copy of MvC1 for a good price at Half Price Books, I went ahead and bought it.
Capcom in Sega consoles are match made in heaven
Code Veronica deserves a remake after RE3 Remake is out in a few months time, a remake could really unlock the potential of the game in full that the original release couldn't given the limitations of the technology at the time.
Vampire in Japan is Darkstalkers in the West, so Vampire Chronicle for Matching Service on the Dreamcast is Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower on the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
Goode series idea. Ready for part 2 lol
This is an ace upload. My favourite ever console, I should never have sold it 😢. I'm thinking about getting one second hand 😁
I loved Tech Romancer, such an incredible game!!! i played the hell of it!
