Just a short video on how I do far bank casting and trotting a float down the river. #riverfishing #roachfishing #bolofishing #stickfloatfishing Websites: buckinghamrodr...
Very informative Ian, before the bolo craze, I used to sit with Brian Bennet on the mid week open at the dying Twyford farm. He would reverse the shoting pattern on a medium stick(bb above the hook and no10 or 8 below the float) a joy to watch and a laugh to be around. Sure it would work on your stretch’s of water👍 looking forward to your fishing upload. Thank you.
It’s a real art. You make it look easy. I tried trotting a river at the weekend but I was so crap at it! The line wouldn’t come off the reel smoothly with a light or a heavy float. Maybe it was the reel, maybe it was me.
Great video Ian. I've been trying out what you showed me. Next time out i'll try that way of holding float back (lifting and lowering the rod),just trapping and letting go makes it very "jerky".
That’s great Ian but in perfect conditions that we rarely get. Normally you have blustery winds upstream or down making things much harder to get a perfect presentation. I’m sure you will agree.
Simple and to the point. More videos on UA-cam should be like this 👍🏻
Great video, thanks 👍🏼
Ian I’m sure there are plenty of guys that will find that video very helpful , well done my friend
Thanks mate

Thanks mark I try my best, glad you enjoyed 👍

Great video again Ian. Picked up some very useful tips hopefully put them to use this weekend 👍
Brilliant video and the best i've found on a reliable and controlled technique. Looks a lovely stretch of river.
Glad you enjoyed
