I’ve made 10 individual turkey and stuffing meals because how else am I going to eat that much turkey and yet that was what my mother dropped off and said she didn’t need it. So out came the plastic containers. Stacked em all nice in the freezer ate them over 2 months.
i thougt the same. i think it's cool that some people can cook so much in advance. I wish i was like that.... But i know myself and my partner: we get bored easily if we have the same food for more than 2 days.

When I was living alone (before kids/g-kids moved in) I used to do all my grocery shopping and cooking for the month on one day. Then everything was frozen in microwaveable containers. Kitchen stayed clean for 29 out of 30 days and dirty dishes were at a minimum. Now it's dinner every night for 7... not so neat and tidy anymore... LOL

Salesman tried to sell them on the standard freezer type because "they're big enough to hold a body". At dinner, we're told they got the same salespitch about the Camry's trunk capacity.

Four week meal prep usually means the meals are divided into one meal portions then frozen and taken out and thawed or microwaved as needed. Usually this means the meals cost under dollar per meal, customized to your preferences and much healthier than normal microwave meals.

The 4 wk meal plan is a way of cooking for a day and eating for a month. The meals go in the freezer, they do not mold in the fridge. Charlotte, you are so funny!
I study naturopathic medicine. Id like to lovingly and kindly let you know that sugar. Cane sugar...is the culprit for it. Try ridding your body ofnit and see how it changes in just a few weeks. If you freeze it, I think 2-3 weeks of food prep is reasonable. 4 weeks is doable but pushing it. I'm basing that on how long Freshly meals seem fresh for when I freeze them (they're not meant to be frozen, but ordering enough for 2 weeks and skipping an order every other week saves money).
It also depends on the kind of freezer you have. If you have a "no frost" freezer your food stays better for longer and you get no frost burn on your food.

I study naturopathic medicine. Id like to lovingly and kindly let you know that sugar. Cane sugar...is the culprit for it. Try ridding your body ofnit and see how it changes in just a few weeks. Suar is also acidic and mspt are addicted to it. There are a few other common addictions which are also acidic, like coffee. Live an anti acid diet and your whole world will change. No more inflammation! Cancer patients i see all have one thing in common; acidic diets/acidic bodies. If you freeze it, I think 2-3 weeks of food prep is reasonable. 4 weeks is doable but pushing it. I'm basing that on how long Freshly meals seem fresh for when I freeze them (they're not meant to be frozen, but ordering enough for 2 weeks and skipping an order every other week saves money).
It also depends on the kind of freezer you have. If you have a "no frost" freezer your food stays better for longer and you get no frost burn on your food.

The slow walker thing spoke to me. When I worked at the Pentagon I parked in a parking garage on the other side of the highway. To get to the parking garage you'd have to walk through a tunnel about 10 feet wide and about a football field long. There would always be a group moving at a snail's pace. Come to think of it, I don't know why I was always in a hurry, it would still take nearly 2 hours to go 26 miles to get home...

So I walk fast and to be honest it is to prevent anxiety about being late to things or just to save time and get a good work out. When I am behind a slow Walker I weave around them.
Pre-pandemic NYC. I must agree on a busy sidewalk, slow walkers were the bane of my existence. I tended to check to see if someone was elderly or disabled. If not, I would sneak around them in a light jog, and then keep moving, ignoring their huffs and comments. Yet, if in a park or on the beach, slow walking is usually a common thing. I could see this turning into a very interesting group conversation!
I am also grateful everytime someone passes me a blunt!

The food thing my mom did this u can put everything in the freezer n then unthaw n cook when u want it. But she did like sauces n stew n chili for winter. But not like full meals. Idk maybe it wrks .. lt does sound a little gross
I believe that things that were cooked gold well in the freezer, like soups and stews and stuff like that, and then maybe with a large salad in the fridge made maybe every few days could work, I'd probably eat that...but I don't know if something frozen for over a month, i mean, i know I wouldn't get sick from it, but maybe it'll taste weird but I don't know.
