I have always believed that eating out is an experience. It's not just about the food but also the atmosphere and the companionship. N8cely done Romania and the crew that made this experience happen! Romania, here I come!!

I could eat mici in the morning, noon and evening. The girl knows stuff :)) Romanian language is pretty much spoken as written and is similar to Italian. When you pronounce "ceviche" the "che" in the end is spoken exactly the same in "ceaun" ("la ceaun" means "at the cauldron" because traditionally this is the best way of cooking delicious meals, in a cauldron). A portion of papanshi should contain two "doughnuts". I am glad you had a delicious experience visiting my homeland.

kONTIKI is my favourite restaurant and also Hotel. Upstairs there are rooms, very very clean and cosy. Tripe soup is absolutly delicious! Many thinks it's the best in the country. It's a restaurant where u see millionaires and also construction workers eating alltogether. U cant see things like this in America, only in Asia. P.S. - the best sarmale are made in home, not at restaurant.

The polenta that you had at Crama Sibiul Vechi is not actually bulz, but “Mamaliga cu branza si smantana” (polenta with cheese and sour cream). Bulz is a bit different in the sense that it is roasted in the oven. Mamaliga cu branza si smantana it is not roasted .

    • @aronanderika

Thank you so much for the information! We'll be on the lookout for actual Bulz.

@@aronanderika The real bulz is not bake on the oven .Is made on jar on fire:) All that smoke from wood jar gives a very good flavor:)

To any tourists visiting any country in this world, follow where locals go, not the tourist traps. Just ask. In E.U. almost all menus(and products)are in local and english.

The cheese on the mămăligă (polenta) was aged sheep cheese, usually stored in a wood barrel (for 6 months or more), pressed (with a weight) and kept in a cold place. It is very strong and should be mixed with water buffalo or cow fresh cheese to not be too strong. You will be thirsty for the rest of the day if you eat it too much

4:10 That's the dish called sarmale & mamaliga (polenta), and it's the most traditional Romanian menu, very tasty indeed.

Next time, when you visit Roumania, try littles (micii) with some little salt. Much better than with mustard. Cheers. Oh, wait, and must try "ciorba radauteana".

"Cramă" in Romanian means "wine cellar", while a regular cellar is called "beci" or "pivnița"

Try to say MAMALIGA intead " polenta"- that is name in Spain. In Romania is MAMALIGA and this name is apropriate in our country. And, intead , "cabbage rolls" the real name and, also, much simple is SARMA(1) - SARMALE = 2 or more.
PAPANAȘI(papanashi, is pronounce) are make with daugh mix with cottage cheese.

But your amazing daughter sir, when she'll grow up, if a dude will want to date her, I bet all he has to do is take her out for some Romanian ''MICI''...Talk about a future Romanian son-in-law...🤣🤣🤣.
