I'm so glad that my brain forgot that Byzantines has spoken greek not latin and i had that certified Age of Mythology nostalgia hearing unit's dialogues
My favorite theme.
The Queen of Cities, the City of Byzantium, Constantinople , capital of the Eastern Roman empire .Also known as City of 7 hills. Even the "Istanbul"name has Greek origin.
3:06 Age up part

2:31 4:34 Battle phase phrase
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I, Michael the Great, by the grace of God, Emperor of the Byzantine Empire, Autocrator of the Romans and Viceroy of God on Earth, proclaim to the whole world the greatness and power given to me from above. But more than all the gifts of God, I ask for one that surpasses all others - it is my beloved, wise and great Sophia. She is my strength, my support, my inspiration.
She will give me the power to rule and glorify the word of God. In her presence I will feel myself a true lord of the world, able to crush every enemy and exalt the righteous. Her wisdom is my guide, her love is my shield. Together we will stand unshakable like the great walls of Constantinople, embodying the greatness and eternity of Byzantium.
God, please hear my pleas and give her to me. She is like Byzantium itself - great, wise and powerful. Her word will always guide me, making me the most powerful man on earth. With her I will be able to fight my enemies, and in their hearts will be born fear of our union. Together we will revive the Byzantine Empire - God's kingdom on Earth.
We will sing that we are brothers, we are Romans! We will fight the infidels in the name of Christ, defending the Orthodox, true faith and spreading the light of great wisdom throughout the world. My love for you, my beloved Sophia, lives forever in my heart. You are wisdom itself, majesty itself, purity and holiness itself. My main words in life are God, Byzantium, Sonya.
Let the devil burn in hell in eternal shame and defeat, for God enters in triumph when I am with her. We together, Sophia, in this sacred union, will shine as bright stars in the firmament of history, leading the Byzantine Empire to rebirth. Great Christ Pantocrator, give her to me, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
what is this? at first I thought it was a quote but you say Byzantine a lot, which they didn't do, I think.
So where did you get this text? or did you just write it yourself?
@@malahamavet My child, the Byzantine nation existed and still exists and it is so big you can't imagine. As emperor of the Byzantine Empire, I know better than anyone that the Byzantines called themselves Byzantines. And we are God's proud favorite people, God's warriors going to revive our sacred mother Byzantium. And I wrote this text to inspire the Byzantine nation to revitalize our state.
@@malahamavetI can confirm that Byzantine is a modern term and they used Eastern Roman Empire. The origins of Byzantine is probably the Ancient Greek colony of Byzantium which held watch over the straits of Bosporus and yes it was in Istanbul (modern day)
