I'm starting to really like Everki bags. I've only seen two so far, but they've both really impressed me!
Bought this bag 3 years ago and it is an amazing bag. It's durability is unmatched and its capacity is insane. Zippers still work perfectly, the only thing that has failed is the stitching to one of the little extra pockets located inside the little side pocket on the left. I'm on the road with this backpack on an average of 300 days & roughly 80,000+ miles per year for the last 3 years, driving and flying and taking it to the work sites at electrical substations across the US and it has held up to the test of time and abuse. I HIGHLY recommend this bag if you want dependability, space, organization and piece of mind. Oh and i keep my $2600 "15 MSI stealth pro laptop inside it , protection is KEY and it definitely has that. It swallows my "15 laptop so if you have a 17" it will fit like a glove.
Thanks for this helpful comment with your experiences - considering this pack but do you have any experience with using it in the rain? With and without the cover?
@@spyhunter66 I never used the cover because twice a year I'll spray the exterior with a waterproofing spray designed for shoes and it repels water like you wouldn't believe. Also no leaks through the zippers. Hope that helps.
@@mugshock1234 Heck yes - thanks my dude! Wasn't sure I'd even get a response on a 3 year old comment so I really appreciate it!
Can you take it in as a carry-on bag in the airplane while flying or is it too big?
Watching this video over 10 years later, it's amazing to see how much the channel has grown! It was really cool to see how enthusiastic Linus was about the bag. And the level of detail was really helpful! I think this could be a good bag for the new MSI Titan GT77.
I've had my titan since just after this video came out. It's held up incredibly well. Every couple of years I run it through the wash and it looks brand new again
I also received this space miracle today. Not a little money, but the quality is overwhelming compared to the much more cheaper products from other manufacturers that have been used so far. I came to your video because I was looking for the rain cape. That thing is really good hidden! Thank you for your "unboxing". I like your channel. Greetz from Germany.
That is the most chill cat ever
I wasnt sold till I saw it would fit a cat. I have been looking for a way to carry a cat and a laptop.
Had to contact everki and use the warranty :( had to jump through a few hoops but it worked out great. And as a bonus the hoops were all ground level and big enough for me wearing the bag containing a cat ;) #bestbagever
Been carrying this bag since about the time this video came out. Still looks brand new despite daily use and over 100k flying miles. Worth every penny.
100k flying miles isn't saying much, any bag should still look new if that's all the travel you've done with it.
@@mugshock1234 I noticed your dumbass comment; even though its 3 years old, I figured Id comment anyways. For anyone curious that's 83 flights from one end of the US to the other end. Congrats on being an idiot. Here's a gold star ⭐
@@how.to.crypto It's anywhere between 2500-3500 miles from one end of the US to the other Laterally from east to west or west to east. I travel an average of 80,000+ miles a year while working/driving/flying roughly 300 days each year. If i flew from one end of the US to the other, it would take me roughly 27 flights to meet the average 80,000 miles per year that I travel which is perfectly feasible. I'm not sure where you get your math from but your comment just awarded you the "Dumbest Fuck of the Year" award.
Congratulations you're an idiot! 🎉
@@mugshock1234 nice paragraph. Judging by that response I must have hurt your feelings 😭 congrats you played yourself ⭐⭐
It's hilarious to see this ten years later because you can tell that Linus was HEAVILY influenced by Everki. The type of materials, the contrast interior, the padding, the overbuilt construction, the admin storage, the heavy-duty zippers, and even the sunglasses pocket are all very similar. And I'm glad they are.
It's only today when I'm making an order for this gem
I was looking for a Everki bag review and ended up here.. this is the kind of content that i subscribe for.... thumbs up for 2019
Best backpack review ever. appreciate the help. just ordered mine on eBay, and cheers from Sydney, Straya
Yeah the boys
Came across this while looking at bag reviews. That cat makes this the best video Linus ever made.
Love how the the cameraman laughed a bit while filming :D These shows are awesome even though most of them is improvised, but Linus is good at improvising and the cameraman is good at filming so, really cool and funny show you guys! Love it :)
"so moving on..." he just left that cat in there!
My 13 year old Targus laptop backpack zippers stopped working, so I just bought the Everki Titan off Amazon. Only 7 years after this video was made 😀
Timolawa already said this - but its buried down with the rest of the comments:
The TABLET pocket is INSIDE there is a ~10" padded pocket close to where the inside dividers with the "Smart Pockets" in the second compartment - there is Faux Fur padding all around for your tablet and it is WELL PROTECTED INSIDE YOUR BAG.
that cameraman deserves a medal for not laughing hiss ass off the entire video:) cheers
5:18 well the cats in the bag now
Confirming Unsough9's statement. My G75vw fits nicely in the top loading laptop pocket. I like putting the spare power supply in the outside pocket. I just love it especially since I end up taking this monster laptop, its powers supply, lots of books, my lunch, 3d glasses and other random stuff. This bag eats anything and is very comfortable as long as you don't load it up with so much weight that you can't carry it. Expensive, but I'd say its worth it. This review helped me a lot. Thanx.
Oh my god, this old video is so good, it makes me laugh many times.
Only downside is weight, which cannot be avoided with durability and comparmention. Laptop bag can hold 20x80 bnioculars, tripod fits +/- well but can be strapped on. You also need to add rope loops to zippers. Overall as a computer bag its the nearest to a rucksack.
I will look for a more updated video on your personal preference of travel backpack. Video was good and you’ve come a long ways on your site . Great job Linus!
I was uh, watching another LTT video on another screen when I clicked on this, and you can really tell the difference between the quality between this stream and one from last year lol.
Yeah, i just wanted to buy this, looked out for reviews and got to this here. i miss the stable 4k footage and the organized b roll shots from nowadays :D
Thanks for the most complete review of this bag. The company's offical one was nowhere near as good.
This is an underappriciated video of the LTT brand.
This was an awesome review... Reviews like this are a real rarity.
I laughed so hard when he put the cat in the bag lol
I love the way you can hear luke laughing throughout the video behind the camera.
I think the easy access pocket at the front is more for magazines and other stuff but can also fit ipads or whatever, wouldn't keep one in such a compartment though.
Thank you for this review. I've been looking for a new backpack for school that could fit my laptop. This has been extremely helpful :)
I got the Alienware 18" backpack but the seems broke on the strap and when I fixed it, other seems on the same strap came undone. When I researched the bag, apparently others were having the same problem as well as the limited space in the bag when the laptop was in it.
I really like these backpack unboxings for some reason.
The cat was hilarious
Thanx for the video Linus. I picked up the smaller (ekp119) backpack today. Hopefully it should arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to get it!
The middle insert, with the Grey top. On the side facing your back is the Tablet spot, not where Linus put it! Keep that thing hidden and safe.
there a cat in the bag.... all logic is now invalid
Instagram:
My only nitpick with these backpacks is that I wish I could get the interior in a different color other than bright freaking orange. I'd rather have the interior be red. Other than that, that backpack looks amazing.
Graystripe000 At least you could use it to divert traffic.
Jonathan Brewer xD
Graystripe000 Just open the part where you laptop goes and direct as needed.
I don't even xD
+Graystripe000 might actually buy just for this feature thank you they really need to show this off
this is the best backpack ive ever seen!
I'd like to see a head to head between the Titan and the Linus backpack. I've had my titan and since right after this video came out. It's still going strong. My only problem with it is that I no longer have to travel with a giant laptop. I'd want to see a review like this for one of everki's smaller options
What a laid back cat. So cool!
Great review. I was looking for a thorough tour of this unit and you provided it. Thanks. You've got one good natured cat which speaks well of its owner. :-)
thanks ! I had not realise on the official video of how many pocket you have , in the TWO compartment. thanks ! Ordered !
Best unboxing ever! Putting the cat in the bag kept my laughing for ages
The airport security still ask me to remove my laptop from my backpack xD
5:52 - 6:00 it's been years but I randomly remembered this joke and came back here just to hear it again
Am I the only one that winks back at Linus during the intro?
The cats out of the bag, priceless.
oh my gosh, i literally have the everki beacon, and im looking for something with more segmentation, THANKS LINUS
The Beacon or the Titan. I can't make up my mind. What is your opinion?
Linus, inspiring cat thieves since 2012
Everki is awesome, I have one of the smallest backpacks from this company and it's durable and great.
Those "smart seems" are accordion folds. Thank the Polish for those. Or pleats.
The Atlas would be a much better choice for you. It's adjustable for your laptop size and is only slightly smaller overall.
That's a pretty kickass bag, Definitely keep it in mind when I get a new huge laptop.
I like how he says "Escapist doesn't support the iPad", as if Escapist isn't a website and the actual issue is the iPad not supporting Flash.
I love how cameraman makes fun of you
Tested it with a cat.....subscribed
@RKTGX95 Pretty sure it's Corsair that is their biggest sponsor. I think Linus mentioned that in one of his previous videos.
@xnamkcor Escapist supports HTML5, but not without a paid subscription.
It cost 177$. Good relation between price and quality. It´s very cool backpack.
I'm really liking this backpack.
SOLD !!! Fabulous review. I'm ordering it right now !!! Cute cat too !!!
STOP ANIMAL TESTING! RIGHT NOW!
Poor kitty wants this bag too now :3
Let's unbox the cameraman. He is the thing that I have been really curious about...
The weather resistant bag keeps the cat dry! haha awesome review dude
I love that you can fit the cat in it. Thanks for the review.
I agree with other people as well, that is a dumb place to put a tablet. Now if they would have had that inside one of the spots that zipped up to hide it it would have been a better idea. Not only to hide it but to protect it from rain. It may not be very easy to steal but you don't want to advertise you have an expensive gadget that is somewhat easily obtainable.
best unboxing ever
"checkpoint friendly" means nothing when the TSA isn't exactly famous for being "people friendly"...
I'm still going to have to pull out every electronic device I have when I go through the airport
That intro = nostalgia
my disadvantage of having a lot of pockets is you forget which pocket u put it in, it happens to me all the time and sumtimes you forget that there is small little pockets hidden and you put something in there and you forget it.
@SpankyMcGrits being awesome.
Yeah, cause that is so much more convenient than the case most notebooks come with 0.o
@RKTGX95 What do you mean? NCIX is a company, they sell computer components and other things.
Wow, so much storage compartments, I think it would take me a week to designate the purpose of each compartment, thats what OCD will do to ya!
I got this for Christmas, It is quite awesome.
*** Le me watching youtube videos..... 5:10 a wild cat appears ..... instant like !!! True story
I would really like your reviews/unboxings more if you slowed down a little bit, im sure you could say more about the product and better explain things if you weren't rushing as much,
Originally wanted to purchase a LTT backpack but it would've cost me $700 (my currency) including exchange rate, freight and taxes. Or an equivalent Everki Bag for $150 which is less then a quarter of the price, I could buy 4 of them if my first one broke and they have a limited lifetime warranty as well. Decided to get an Everki instead, made more financial sense. Stock exist locally so I could check them out in store.
The cat sold me on it.
That was an especially gorgeous cat.
aahmaddee
wow Linus your cats are huge now
Linus, fill it up weight it, show us how much u can get inside it, and then weight it. WOULD BE AN AWESOME VIDEO!! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED?
Quite a silly video in a good way! Although it felt like you were unnecessarily rushing through the whole unboxing as it looked like you were aggressively zipping and unzipping. Lovely cat as always!
Hey Linus, just curios, who is the biggest sponsor for you and NCIX ?
bought mine right after it finished.
you should put ur cat in every unbox video!! literally!
i dont have a tablet or a laptop and i have no current plans to buy one... i still wanted this entire ELEVEN AND A HALF minute video.... i have no idea why. maybe i'm a youtube/tech junkie and need to seek serious help
cat tested, cat aprouved
"oh this is the tablet thing!" Pulls out a tablet he has lying around and millions of others i bet
Dude.... I LOVE YOUR CAT!!!!
That intro tho, older than when I started watching lmfao
most amazing thing youve ever seen? you have hundreds of graphic cards and cpus laying around, extremely top notch and high priced equipment and a bag for your mouse baggy is the most amazing thing youve ever seen?
lol.
7:27 Don't know about you, but i find them usefull to keep a few smartphone batteries and a pack of chewing gum safe(from tumbling arround and scraching my other stuff) and easily accesible.
Just my $0.02
He seemed very excited in this video xD
Looks like it won't be big enough to fit my maine coon, but that's cool. Can always strap the cat to the front or something.
@khrystanna I agree if what you want is performance now. If you want more ability to expand and upgrade for a few years in the future, I'd go with the LGA2011 solution over the LGA1155 one and upgrade the graphics a few generations from now (it's a pain to change motherboard and CPU, changing graphics cards is no work at all (unless you water cool, in which case everything you do is suddenly a huge pain)).
That's an awesome looking cat!
Nice bag! I'm gonna get one as soon as my hp bag's shoulder straps finally break all the way off, lol.
Jeez, what an stressful and intence video. Almst had a heart attack.
we want part 7 of your build :)
This backpack is the huge that i own it!
11:09 camera man crack some smiles...
what an amazing cat! It's a Bengal yep?
