So symbolic that the Temple was built on Mount Moriah where David and Abraham encountered God 14 generations apart

If the temple of King Solomon was built as you describe it, how would anyone have been able to hear and understand speech? I’ve been in large rooms like Solomon’s Temple, and if you are more than 2 feet from someone, you could not understand each other when talking. From reading the Bible, the priest prayed, taught, performed music, they sang as well as doing the rituals associated with the blood sacrifice and atonement for sins. I have not read that the Levites were supernatural or had unique abilities. I don’t think sign language was a thing back then. What acoustical system did they use to manage sound in a room covered in Gold?

@Excellence PS Exactly. It was only the Levites who could enter the Holy place. I have been studying this for a long time. In the Holy Place or Sanctuary, they did all of the things I described.
The Holy of Holies was visited once a year. From what Moses experienced, he heard a voice from the Mercy seat while he was in the presence of the Ark. Since it was an audible voice, when they built the Holy of Holies, the acoustical condition of the room had to have been good enough to understand speech at 10-13 feet when a priest entered. I have been in a cube room with just drywall and concrete floor. It was 20 x 20 x 20 feet. The Holy of Holies was 30 x 30 x 30 feet. With two people, when you are more than 3 feet apart, you can hardly understand each other. At 6 feet, you can't understand each other, it was just noise. In the Holy of Holies, at 10 feet, anything spoken from the Mercy seat would not be understood without some sort of acoustical system. Nowhere does it say that the Levites had any supernatural power for hearing. If God was to give a revelation or message, and if it was to be supernatural, then that could happen anywhere including outside of the temple. I think the expectation was that any message from God would come from the Mercy seat as it happened to Moses in number 7:89. Since it was impossible for anyone to get closer than around 10 feet from the Ark of the Covenant, the acoustics of the Holy of Holies room had to be managed.
As for the Holy Place or sanctuary, they did pray, they did singing, the priest ate the shewbread, and so on. There were Levites who lived and cooked in the chambers. The temple floor hand to be cleaned daily from the spilled blood that would have been sprinkled around the temple. When doing the rituals, there were prayers recited out loud. The Holy place was a hive of activity. 2 Ch 29:25-27 the Levites were ordered into the house with their instruments to play and sing as ordained by David. Sure, this was years later when Hezekiah restored proper worship, but he said for the priest to do what David commanded to do. The activities that happened inside of the temple where far from being silent. Even the ritual where once a year a priest would enter the Holy of Holies, the cleaning ceremony was done just outside of the entrance. In the Holy Place with its 45-foot high ceiling, any communication between the priest would no have been understood without something to manage the sound in both rooms. What was it that helped them to hear inside the temple?

What version bible are you using??? The scriptures say the Threshing floor of ORNAN the Jebusite NOT Araunah!
Seems changing the scriptures is a clear deception. Be wary folks, be good Bereans.
    Scripture below: King James bible
2Ch 3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Ornan and Araunah are one and the same person. In 2 Chronicles 3:1, he is called Ornan but look at the footnote, it says "spelled Araunah in 2 Samuel 24:16ff".

@@mercynjoku8584 You are right, I actually ran into that a few days later and was curious as to why the differences in names. It seems to happen a few other places as well. Sometimes I get too critical without looking into the issue because of all the actual mis directions of the new versions.
In other instances I've thought that the change in names or places is a way to obscure the hidden gems the Lord has for His saints to find.
Thank you for the clarification, you certainly are a Berean and welcome the correction.
Blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Why is the Ark of the Covenant not mentioned once by Jesus?

I think because He is the fulfillment of the ark of the covenant. The sacrifical lamb and God the Son.
