- This sea cave is located near Luscomb's Point in San Diego's Sunset Cliffs area and it is an impressive spot to explore along the coast. The cave is only accessible at a low negative tide (I went at -1.8) and I would not recommend you go if it is not at least a -1 low tide (tide schedule magicseaweed.com/Sunset-Cliff.... It's a short easy hike from the point along the coast to the cave if the tide is out.

As you mention Coronado island, you forgot ferry landing and bunch of restaurant there to hang out. One of our favorite place to see when we in Coronado and it take you to seaport village and back, really nice ride during the sunset🤙
Looks awesome!!!
Definitely going here thanks for sharing
Wow. Did not know that was there, im going, thanks!!
No problem, be sure to check the tides!
There's actually like 12 caves down there did you go to the other one's?
Amazing view but scary to even try to go down there. I'll just admire from afar.
Can someone do the work for me and tell me what a negative tide is and when's a good time to go? Wether it's a monthly thing or a time of day thing (I'm guessing has something to do with the moon)
There's actually a decently large gap in the cliff above the bay to descend from instead of having to use Luscomb's
Yesterday I went there with some of my friends.
However, we didn’t have a chance to get inside the cave, because the tides were high 😭
How do u get there?
great
I've been trying to get into this cave for 6 years but Im never in town during a negative tide. Heading out today and Weds morning at 5AM is a -1.44 tide. Do you think I can get in if Im there by 5:45AM? Friday is -1.25 at 6:30AM.
hi, how to know when the tide is negative?
cool !
Thats awesome u guys made it to the Cave, i went 2 summers ago and literally almost died because i went at high tide ! of course i didnt make it to the cave .
I had been before trying to get to the cave as well and this was the first time I got there. Def needs to be a low negative tide for sure.
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing! Actually I uploaded some videos about the nature in Izu-Peninsula in Japan with 2 videos about the sea cave.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost my login password. I love any help you can offer me!
@Valentino Bobby Instablaster ;)
@Kannon Bradley thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Kannon Bradley It worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Valentino Bobby No problem :)
I lived in Sunset Cliffs in 1975, there was a cave we could belly crawl back into and it opened up into a nice cavern. The small opening has since been cemented up……
I came looking at these comments to see if anyone mentioned that entrance, I went down it in high school so about 14 years ago, sad that they covered the entrance, it was a tiny inconspicuous hole in the ground.
What time of day is there usually a negative tide?
Check the tide chart
None of these videos have the secret entrance where you go down a tube like tunnel where you have to wiggle yourself down and can access the cave.
Is the hike there hard for children ? 8 year old
I was married on those cliffs 25 years ago next month...
If I didn't have a phobia about caves I would totally do this.
Try the Potato Chip Rock next
Last time I went there, there was a homeless guy smoking meth or something inside the cave.
That was me fool and it was crack not meth.
