I was born (1992), raised and still live in Poland. Hence the accent.
I play all Sims games (on PC). Although The Sims 4 I can only play in Polish due to language restrictions, that's why you won't see it much on this channel.

Disclaimer 1: I have private gameplays in at least 4 other neighborhoods, so I can't be that devoted to Pleasantview these days.

I love how Bella Goth is still technically "alive" in the family tree even though everyone she ever knew is long gone.

I always allow Brandi to have as many kids as she wants; but, I feel like when you live in such a huge (and broke!) family those children are sometimes so fed up with taking care of their siblings that they don't want to have babies on their own in their adulthood :)

i had this problem HORRIBLY in my first-ever custom neighborhood; i was playing strictly wants-based so every family sim had ten kids and by my second/third generation the population had spiked from 20 to 200. i started a new neighborhood when i got a new computer and i've been enforcing a birth control system where i set caps on each sim with acr based on their primary/secondary aspiration; kind of based on pleasantsims system. family sims have three children, popularity, knowledge, and fortune have two children, and pleasure and romance can have one child. then secondary aspirations, if family is their secondary then i add 1 to their total and if pleasure or romance is their secondary i subtract 1 from their total (with a limit of 1 child at the lowest to preserve genetics). this system has been working really well for me so far and i really recommend setting a system like this to cap the population for long-term hoods :-D

I find it fascinating how much your neighbourhood can grow. Makes you feel like God, watching over his creations lol.

More realistic death and disease, death by childbirth, and deadly fires have been a life saver, although I'm not above trapping the more annoying sims in swimming pools.

I have a crazy megahood that I started in 2015 with over 3,500 Sims (counted by character files) where a few sims even have disappeared due to corruption, and the way I play them is I cram 3-4 families in one biggest-sized lot and just watch the chaos. 😁

I love seeing what others have done with the premades in their own games! I also used to breed my sims like crazy and regretted it afterwards lol...

I've been playing Strangetown for 4-5 generations and some days I'm just ready to drop it. It does get overwhelming. I started out bringing too many new people in, like townies, so I'm trying to partner the playable ones together. Except... So many are distantly related. Issue after issue now 😅

That's why I find so hard to play rotationally. I don't mind having no story progression but the only way I can keep interested in a neighborhood for long is by making every sim age together. With some families, I just want to help with the big steps and let them live in the background while I play with more interesting Sims.

wow that family tree is so impressive! my pleasantview is not even THIS far ahead but i completely feel all the things you said about overpopulation, lord i really wish i knew more about how the game works when i started playing this neighbourhood 5 years ago, i could have saved myself so much headache. i currently have 36 households that are active in my rotation (oh yeah i also have bluewater village added to it), and some more sims that i created a long time ago and now just keep around in the bin or in the trailer park in case any of my sims need them. and so many townies. SO many townies. god. ✨ regrets ✨

I never got this far into a neighborhood I discovered rotation gameplay a few years ago and been playing the sims 2 again only recently. Your dedication is admirable. :0 Currently I'm playing a mini megahood with PV and ST and I can already feel like it's gonna be 50 families after a while... grouping families in big houses could be a solution to have less houses to play in a rotation idk.

I started a Prosperity Challenge in Sims 2 several years ago. The main gyst of the challenge is to start in an empty neighborhood with a random number of families with a random number of sims in each of random ages and see how prosperous the neighborhood can be in 5 generations. I started with 5 households, two of which split up because of having 2 adults that got married and moved into their own homes. I now have 37 households and 188 sims total (I think that includes the ones who have died). I play each household for 4 days and I'm on round 20 right now. It's a lot! If I didn't have all their info written down I'd never know where I was at in gameplay. I'm enjoying it but it is a lot of sims! I can see where it can get overwhelming.

I have a neighborhood with 301 sims in 67 households. But I don't play it that often anymore, so a 4 day round takes probably 1 year rn. I also started with only 2 families, so a family tree would probably be hilarous. But it's still fun to play sometimes. Just don't put the stress on you that you've to get the neighborhood ahead in time.
