- You guys might not believe your eyes after seeing what the DEWALT lawn mower laid down for stripes. I know some of you guys had doubts whether or not DEWALT would be able to get this mower out there to lay some amazing stripes, but here you are!
I think the real challenge and conversation at this point is going to turn to how do you keep this mower working and out of service. Only time will tell if getting your DEWALT stander serviced by the Pro Support Hub will work out, but beyond that, the mower does what it says it will do!
Pretty crazy to see DEWALT getting into the game of commercial lawn mowers with this new lawn mower for 2021. Can't imagine what else is around the corner from them!

Nope, I'm not going to consider a Dewalt stand on mower from Home Depot for $10K. Maybe $5-6K from Home Depot for this thing, but definitely not $10K. Also, a little off topic but figure I'd ask, what are your thoughts on the major rise in fuel prices due to the national gas shortage, pipeline cyber attack and panic buying, are you guys going to consider a fuel surcharge? It's getting rough here on the east coast.
We hedged against the fuel cost increase with price adjustments across the board at the start of the season. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out for sure.
In as much as this was impressive, the proof for the Dewalt will be its longevity, ease of maintenance, and its ability to withstand the rigors of day-to-day use.

I know a few people that own the Cub Pro X, they’re going on 350+ hours with no issues on them. It’s just a re branded Cub Pro X. Nothing seriously new

Man, I was shocked! As you were showing the different yards I was like, "Dewalt, laser z, laser z, Dewalt, WHAT! their all the dewalt?!?!
I'm no expert, but when your laying stripes and there is a object in the way, turn around it on the uncut grass, instead of the stuff u already cut, so then u have cleaner stripes in the end result.
At first I was like I can't tell the difference then to find out all was mowed from dewalt... so no side by side comparison which I want to see. Also big important thing for me is how far does it throw the grass after cut.. like to see how it cuts yards with grass putting off seed. For the price of Dewalt I know I'll just spend the money on my Exmarks.

Cub makes the platform but the finishing features are unique to DeWalt.

What’s the fuel consumption like
It’s seems like it’s about a gallon an hour, the small tank does go pretty quick.
1&2 are DeWalt. 3,4,5 with exmark

Stripes look nice, but how hard is physically on your body standing up all day? Maintenance cost? I think it’s the operator leaving the stripes! Please don’t use fast forward, takes away from you showing us the true skill it takes to operate these machines.
Still a terrible thing Exmark to discontinue the vantage. From working on your own machines standpoint. I fix my own stuff faster then the shops can get it back to me.. downtime cost a guy big money... the Staris is a nightmare to work on.

Yo what a fun game!! Already knew where you were heading with the answers though. Nice cut quality for our types of grass no doubt. The mower just looks cool too. As far as service even if they only set up service depts. at select HD's I have at least 6 stores less than 10 miles from my house. Hoping all is well "B", Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!

I’m definitely shocked but like you said it comes down to dealer support availability of parts. To minimize down time if something where to go wrong. But I still love my v ride 2 I’m a loyal scag man.

What’s the turn around time on this mower once it needs to go in to the shop, (you know, the shop where you didn’t purchase the mower from) my guess is close to a month

Hey Brian! i just had knee surgery and it has been a big setback for my mowing business. I am going to need to get a stander/rider to mow this year as i can not walkat the moment. what do you recommend i don’t have much to spend? the cheapest one. I have been thinking about just giving up on mowing this year as it is too expensive for me to continue, but you have really influenced me and encouraged me to try to see if it is possible. keep up the good work🤝
Sorry to hear about your knee bud, that’s rough! I’d check out what your dealer has personally, then focus from what’s available and narrow it down from there. Sometimes what’s available is regional. Hope you kill it this season. 👊

It's a Cub Cadet commercial mower sold at Home Depot. Wonder who is going to take care of service for these, I imagine most of the cub dealers don't want to fool with them. MTD is easy enough to get parts for however
