I have Denali led lights added to my engine guards. With the bikes halygon bulbs I feel the contrast between the two makes me more visible to others. I very seldom ride at night so the addition of more lighting is not a factor. I also like the halygon lights for the more retro look they give. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Marc: very useful video, and very nice that you took the setup time to show the comparisons in the garage and on the road. And very nice editing, to show the comparisons in frames back-to-back. That was a lot of work on your part, to record video with the different bulbs in place. My only concern would be the little fan in the LED headlight. I wonder how well that little motor will deal with the bumps on roads, how long it will last, and whether you'll be able to tell if it happens to stop working. I have a Meteor 350, and I replaced the stock halogen headlight with an Auxito H4 LED that I bought on Amazon, and which was recommended by some RE forum members. It doesn't have a fan, but it's definitely still whiter and brighter than the stock headlight. I don't ride at night, but the LED adds to my being visible to drivers, and it also saves the alternator some work (as I think it consumes 20 watts less than the stock halogen), which is useful in terms of any accessories that are added to the bike.
Thanks for your feedback, it was indeed a lot of filming and editing work 🙂 The LED bulb is made for motorcycles, so it should handle bumpy roads too. You are right the LED bulbs consume less watts than the halogen bulbs.
The reflector is designed around the Halogen yet it seems to work quite well with the LED. I prefer the red light Halogen over the blu light of the LED although not a bright perhaps. There are warm LED colours although maybe not for headlights. Thanks for the demo you present everything very well.
Fantastic difference, just one question, I'm not familiar with LED bulbs but does the rear of the bulb get hot as it looks a tight fit to the rear of the bulb where the wires are. Thanks
@@Butlers_Bike_life LEDs draw less power than the older incandescent bulbs so there really shouldn't be any problems with the battery and charging system but an excellent question all the same!
I have upgraded my Sportster to LED head and tail lights as well as two of my cars. It is much better at night and in over a year now I have not has any drivers flash their light s to indicate that mine are too bright! I am often riding and driving in the open desert areas of Arizona at night and the LEDs are vastly superior to the older bulb headlights, Thank you for this video on the improvement to you RE 350 Classic! Are those two lights suppose to represent daytime running lights? I was thinking they were representing blackout lights, lights used by military convoys so they can see each other without making themselves easy targets for the enemy.
I wanted to install DNA air filter in my classic 350. Should I go ahead? I have watched your previous video of installation but any long term review of the filter?
Hi Marc. I'm Rodolfo and I'm watching your videos from Argentina. I love all the information about the Royal Enfield Classic 350 that you give us. Although many of the accessories here are expensive compared to the price of the motorcycle and the economic crisis, they are very interesting, and they all look very good quality or high-end. Now, did I see it right? Are you wearing a t-shirt with the Argentine flag? I was surprised. Maybe it refers to the conflict in 1982. A hug and good kilometers on two wheels!!
How LED works on this bike? doesn't it need DC conversion prior to LED to installation? I have the same bike & same color. I would like to install an LED, I would appreciate the suggestion.
Hallo Marc.
In reality LED bulbs with more than 5500 Kelvin cannot give clear visibility in Rainey night 5000 to 5500 Kelvin will be ultimate for clear visibility in all seasons.
Hello Marc, is the Philips LED even approved for the Classic's headlight? I looked at Philips' compatibility list and didn't find any Royal Enfield models. Hallo Marc, ist die LED von Philips überhaupt zugelassen für den Scheinwerfer der Classic. Da ich mir die Kompatibilitätsliste von Philips angesehen habe, und gar kein Model von Royal Enfield gefunden habe.
Thanks for adding in the fog lights at the end! I was asking myself the whole time “what about all together?” 👏
With the fog lights you have a perfect illumination of the road ✌
@@Marc.Stones do you happen to have that link to the Fog lights again?
@@codymccall These are the daymaker LEDs from Harley Davidson
@@Marc.Stones When you put LED Headlights, does it heat up the wires behind? Because the fan is throwing out heat towards wire.

Another practical, informative video on something that matters.
Great job, thanks 😊

Mind blowing difference.
RE's OEM halogens headlights are far better than today's bikes with led headlights❤
Thanks for that side by side comparison, certainly worth upgrading from the standard OEM bulb.

Because of the cooling fins and the vent, it should be fine.
@@Marc.Stones Maybe you could give an update in the following weeks to see, what about more strain on the battery ? The difference is really amazing 👍

Be worth putting leds in the marker/side light they would make great running lights if there bright enough 👍🏻👍🏻

I think it is worth it, gives the bike a better sound and a bit more punch.
Marc I personally like bulbs better the day led that compatible see have switched to?
Try the 4300K color grade of LED, it gives you a more classic vibe similar color to the Halogen bulbs

Do you know if it fits on the Meteor?
I love your Channel.
It should fit.
I will try. Thanks
Hey Marc a quick question are touring seats better than the original? Ps I’ve watched your videos
Hi, difficult to say, it‘s personal preference. The touring seat is stiffer than the original.
@@Marc.Stones what’s better for 100kms of commute. Coz the original seats starts to hurt after 25-30 kms
The light is awesome for sure but the hi beam looked too high
Could you provide the model number for this light. Thank you. Great video and a lot of follow up testing.
