@@BulbFacts what is the best H1 and H3 in 2020 the best whiteness and and the best H1 and H3 that has like a blue tent like the new car have please let me no thanks
@@JOHNNYREBEL1976 halogen is limited by it's technology, so in order to gain a whiter kelvin rating you sacrifice output greatly due to the blue coating. I would recommend checking out an LED conversion if you want a whiter colored bulb as well as a higher output beam. Just keep in mind that LED is best for halogen reflectors, and HID for halogen projectors, generally of course.
Your production quality is neat and pleasant to the eyes! Good job, and thanks for the comparison.
Thanks Michael I really appreciate that!
I swapped out the standard bulbs H1 and H7 in my 2007 Avensis for the new Osram Nightbreakers and subjectively they are 50% better with good quality light and a better spread. They were about £26 for the 4 bulbs. Well worth the upgrade and the ones removed are now spares.
Watching in 2022, prices sure have changed!
Lmao a year later even and they’re even more changed
Because of Joe Biden
Thank you for the comparison for these bulbs. Been deciding whether to buy regular bulbs or LEDs..
"Doing whatever you do." That would be driving to work for me. Glad I watched this guys videos, it saved me from buying the worst bulbs that would not have been any brighter than stock! I'll be going with the OSRAM's
Thanks Kurt, glad it was helpful!
Nice job! Nice website! Thank you for the very useful information!
Thanks, I appreciate that!
I especially like that you've determined the differences as a percentage.
I just replaced the original Halogen bulbs in my 2009 Toyota Yaris with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (H4). I've kept the original bulbs, just in case.
I've just subscribed & rang the notification bell
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
Thanks for the support!
Thank you, much needed info. Stay blessed
Superb video! Thanks for the great explanations. Now, I know which choices I have for brightness.
Thanks Jeff!
Great information!!! We do not want to overdrive our headlights! We build our cars to go fast, we then need to see better when driving at night! Thanks. Subscribed. A lot of info. in a short amount of Time!!!
Thanks Davil!
@Davil ~~~ Good point about _"overdriving our headlights"._
I intentionally slow down a bit at night---going just under the 100kph speed limit, (especially on 4-lane highways where others can easily pass me).
If you can't see *_it_* in time, you can't keep from plowing into it!
Osram NBUs are indeed the brightest H7s I've put in my projectors, and distance is also great. If anyone thinks these performance halogens make no difference over stock longlife, you need new headlight assemblies altogether. Either that or get them restored.
You should try the new NB-200
My headlights were so bad ,during rain I could see more w the cars lights around me,so I bought this clear coat spray, omg all that fogged out build up completly turned crystal clear n I had lights again ,lol.but I'm still gonna purchase either your #2 or #1's tyty
Do the recommendation apply for low beam and high beam? replace all 4 with Osram?...thanks!
OEM's have lasted me 6 years. I have LED daytime lights so the bulbs are not used in day. They were just "okay" when new( didn't drive much highway) Now I am driving highway, can't see nothing, plus they are more yellow than white! Bought the Sylvania Ultra's. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! I had bad luck with the #1s before in last car so bought the Ultras at local store for convenience. I know I will need to change them much more often than OEM, but worth it bigtime! Only takes 10 min to change both.
Thanks for reviews!!!
Thanks for sharing, great to hear! The Ultra's are really a great overall bulb, as they tested extremely well in all applications on our bench. You can expect about 50% of the lifespan from them, but it's well worth the trade-off in output and safety.
The OSRAM Night Breakers are not available for the 9007 bulbs. I've been quite pleased with the SYVANIA SilverStar Ultra bulbs. Much better then the OEM bulbs, and also better then the PHILLIPS Extreme bulbs. Seriously noticeable improvement. I like the very informative charts on your website.
Thanks! The Silverstar Ultra's are among the brightest, and while we recommended the OSRAM NBU's in this video, much newer tests prove the Ultra's are a bit brighter. Just keep in mind that you'll see about 50% of the life compared to an original bulb, but it's a trade-off worthy of the new output.
I want to thank you so much for this information. I have been looking everywhere for comparison on vehicle headlights. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 truck and the lights are horrible it's very hard for me to see at night. At night the streetlights in town actually flood my lights out to where I can't see them on the surface of the road. You guys rock.
Glad to help, thanks!!
@RVLifeontheOpenRoad --- That's a good description you use---comparing the illumination of your lights to streetlights.
In fairness, I find some streetlights are way brighter than others, but still.
Made me feel good about choosing those Osram Nightbreaker Unlimiteds
I just got them because my projectors leak a lot of light with LEDs I have Hella Xtreme Yellow on High Beams
I tried some time ago the Osram cool blue and they didn't last even two months ( one of them) which is very disapointing, and Philips X-treme vision was the best H7 bulb I've ever tried so far in standard halogen projector headlights. You are doing great videos!
Thanks! I do know the OSRAM CBB runs at a higher wattage, but based on our tests they lasted an abnormally long time, about 1900hrs. So it sounds like perhaps you had a faulty bulb perhaps, which I would imagine a guarantee or warranty may cover.
Thank you for this video! I was running the silverstar ultras in my Jeep grand Cherokee and I was not very happy with them. They are not much brighter or whiter than stock. (However, in my dodge Journey they are great). I swapped them out for the Osram Nightbreaker, wow what a difference! I wasn't expecting much of a difference since you claimed only 2% brighter than the ultras, but these are much brighter and whiter! I'm very happy with these bulbs!!!
Glad to hear it Jeremy! Yes each application differs. We try to find the best overall of course. The NBU is truly an amazing kit, highly recommended!
Appreciate your videos.
Thanks for your support!
Short sweet and to the point!
Thanks steelercurtain!
My personal favorites are the sylvania ultras, from experience.
Thanks for the comment Matt! The Ultra's are really the best overall product based on our most recent testing, and seem to work well in all applications.
Icruz210 nah, still yellow. But less yellow than stock.

What about/Have you tested the Sylvania Silverstar ZXE bulbs? (I like the light output in these)
Hi Richard - We have. We also tested the Gold version (no video yet though on those). You can check them both out on our website. Thanks for watching!
I had been pondering about getting the osram since they did came up cheaper than sylvanias so now I know it would be a good call
Both are great brands, and sister companies in fact that I believe share some of the same products, just re-branded.
I was wondering why my bulbs were getting dim after a year
Thanks for the info👍
No problem Willy. Be sure to check our test results chart, as we have tested all of the most popular halogen bulbs for their lifespan now as well; www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/
Wow... Decent info and NO B.S. You definitely get the "Straight To The Point" award. Thumbs up and thanks.
Thanks I appreciate that!
The osram in my Grand Cherokee lasted a year not sure I'd recommend those
My96XJ that’s about average with those lights, they give up longevity for brighter light.
What are the best lights to use in the 2017 Chevy Malibu premier?
Robert - We have some new bulbs tested recently, however the Nightbreaker Unlimited's and Silverstar Ultra's are the brightest kits from our tests. Thanks for watching and good luck!
I just replaced my still working OEM bulbs that where manufactured in 1997 with the Silvania Ultra's. Im still astonished those OEMs still work after 26 years.
Wow very nice! What brand were they?
Installed some night breakers in late March, already had one burn out halfway through November, nice lights but not as available so I got some of their night breaker 200's on order.
Will see how they do...
The lifespan is definitely shortened on them, a sacrifice you have to make by upgrading to a brighter halogen.
Great review! Did you happen to test the Vision X bulbs that Headlight Revolution recommends?
Thanks Simone! I have not but I will pick them up and test them asap. I'll circle back here with the results for you :)
BulbFacts Great thanks!Looking forward to it.
Simone - The Vision-X results are up on our website. We tested the 2 main kits they offer. Thanks!
BulbFacts Awesome thanks! Can’t wait to read it!
Do you recommend an upgraded heavy duty harness with a direct lead to the battery? On older cars ( sealed beam headlights) installing a relay directly to the battery instead of a under sized wire running to the dashboard switch then back to the lights improves light out put by 100%....with newer reflector/projector headlights I don't know if this is necessary
Hi Michael, it is not necessary unless you are upgrading to a high wattage bulb, but even then we only recommend upgrading to a ceramic connector. A relay system is never a bad idea though as it takes the load off the stock wiring. Vehicles are built to withstand the stock wattage draw in their wiring, but we have seen some brands use a small gauge which causes issues.
Nice video! Seems like LED is the way to go for an upgraded Headlight that is much brighter than stock bulbs. However I do like the OSRAM bulbs
Thanks Ramses! LED is a great way to upgrade for sure, but halogen is also very bright when you select the right brand, and you don't have to worry about legalities.
Yes! I have my HL LEDS and swapped out all three of my cars with LED HL’s. I want some crazy bright 3000k for my High beams. If you have any brands you recommend let me know please.

@@BulbFacts lol one of them burnt out 2 days ago. just the low beam part. the high beam part works fine.
@@gamelard1963 we have seen cheaper bulbs wear out due to low quality components, so in most cases you get what you pay for. For best longevity go for the premium options with a longer warranty.
@@BulbFacts it didnt last a year but since i do lots of night time driving i figured its normal. but im now realizing that the driver side bulbs always burn out first. hmmm

Thanks for sharing Steve!
A very great and informative video, I have watched several others. I have liked and subbed. Keep up the great work. 1 recommendation is the background music. I find it kinda of loud and hard to hear your voice. All and all, great review!
Thanks MuddyBob! This was our very first video, and have made some corrections since then for sure, as the music was way too loud :). Thanks for the like and sub, it really helps!
@@BulbFacts And of course, thank you also for providing me with useful information to ready my new truck for the night and this coming winter!
@@MuddyBob650 you got it!
Thanx for the info. Ordered the Osram 9003 cheaper than the Silverstar ultra by 10 bucks.
Hi! Great reviews! Any chance you could test branded H4 off-road bulbs like 100/80, 130/90, 160/100 etc with separate info gathered for low beam and high beam patterns? The 160w bulb pulls about 13amps so I plan to run these through a relay and harness upgrade so I don’t burn out the standard wiring loom!
Cheers 👍
Hi W R - We are planning to test more models in the future. Did you have any specific kits for now you were looking at?
BulbFacts Thank you for your interest in my question. Ring do a rallysport range of halogen h4 in varying outputs, as so do Osram and Philips. There may be other premium brand bulb manufacturers that can also supply higher wattage bulbs. A comparison of the different high/low beam patterns, output intensity, beam cutoff, light spread and hotspot areas would be interesting.
I plan to use the bulbs off-road in an older style headlight with a patterned glass lens which creates the beam cutoff and I think many people would find it interesting to see the difference each bulb makes.
Cheers!
Great, found em! I'll check them out and let you know!
Great idea and effort without test bulbs. Please try Ring Xenon Ultima oraz newer performance bulbs. Iv replaced older hiend osram with ring after seeing great review and thoes seems clear champions for me. !!
Hi SuperJapierdole! We have a Ring RallySport kit pending testing, but we will also look into the other model you mentioned, thanks for the suggestion!
Phillips whitevision 9008 on one car with silverstars fogs
And ZXE fogs to match my HIDs on my other car. No complaints
Thanks for sharing! The zXe's are a great option for both color and intensity.
Very nice video.
Thanks guys!
Can you please let me know some more info about your testing? I would like to know what kind of vehicle you used and what size bulb, h7, h11, 9006, etc. Also did the vehicle you used have reflector or projector housings. Just wanting to know so I can judge how close I can expect to get to your results with my car, a 2015 Malibu LS.
Hi Adam! You can check out our website page 'how we test' for details: bulbfacts.com/how-we-test/ . I am going to be enhancing that page soon and doing a video in the future to show exactly how we test as well. Most of our test numbers are done at 12', and keep in mind all test lineups are done in the exact same environment for consistency and accuracy. Let me know if that answers it for you and post back if you have any questions!
I am currently using Phillips 90/100 with a relay. Are these bulbs which were mentioned above are brighter than what I use? 90/100 are also not great during bad weather in countryside.
Hey Sahadeva! The Philips XtremeVision 100% did quite well in our tests, however the OSRAM NB Ulimited and Sylvania Silverstar Ultras were even brighter. Most halogen bulbs will work well in bad weather, but the best would be an HID in a projector around 4500k. Hope that helps!
Lucky I found your channel again. I remember some cool guy doing tests on all types of auto lighting. Couldn't remember channel name. Glad you thought SilverStar Ultra was worth the upgrade. Bought a new motorcycle and it still uses halogen. Switched to SSU. Super easy to change out. Just for info, I have a truck, 27 YO and still have oem bulbs. As per your info, I better change them out. Thanks, new sub.
Thanks for the support! The Silverstar Ultra's are our go-to recommendation, as they're so readily available at local stores. Just be sure to consider the lifespan, as they won't last quite as long as original or long-life bulbs. Worth the trade-off for most people though. I should have a new halogen review video up soon as well, hopefully next month some time. But our website always has the latest on what we test and recommend.
Do you know where I can get same kind of lights used on train locomotives? It's getting where I can't see driving at night anymore - also looking for the brightest fog lights available.
I don't think that'd be a good idea, if even possile. It may be best to look into an LED conversion, as you can drastically improve your output as well as color.
What about Hella brand? Heard they have super bright ones that aren't technically road legal. Might just be hype though.
Hi Nodak81! We tested 5 Hella Halogen kits, 4 of which are their new line. Check them out on our chart here: bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/. Anything that is the same wattage and under a certain kelvin are road legal, anything going over/under those values are technically not. One of the Hella kits is high wattage and did very well, but still not as bright as some normal wattage kits!
Can’t call “dimmest” the worst as they may provide the bluish look one’s looking for, but I Love Bulbfacts! You guys are great 👍
nice nice video, my friend what about osram night breaker LASER? I have night vision problems, but I know those osram night braker bulbs are inferior brightness then osram night braker laser! correct?
Hi ionut! We tested the Nightbreaker Laser's as well, but the Unlimited's were actually brighter! The Laser's however tested with a better ambient brightness. Go ahead and visit bulbfacts.com and you will see the details on our chart. Thanks for watching!
I use Flosser 145w H4. I run a separate relay harness for each side to less the load each relay.
Very nice! Running the relay is critical, as long as the headlight housing can handle the higher heat as well.
Can you do a review on the OSRAM Night Breaker Laser (Next Generation) H7 (Twin)
Hey Jose, we certainly can, thanks for the suggestion! For now you can check the results on our Halogen chart: www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/
Could you please test bulbs with multiple or tri-coatings such as the Wagner NightDefense and Philips NightGuide?
We will definitely look into them, thanks for the suggestion!
Osram hids are super dope
Great review! So it looks like the Phillips Extreme Vision 100s didn't make it to the top 3. Were they in the top 10? I was planning on trying those out after my Silverstar Ultras give up the ghost. I was interested in the phillips because they have no coloring whatsoever. Just a solid clear bulb.
Hi Rick! The Xtreme Vision's (both the 100 and 130%) were both great kits, and were both in the top 10 in fact (bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/). They offer a lot more sizes so many people go with the 100% version and are happy. The Philips tend to last longer in terms of lifespan too, but we are still confirming that. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps!
In all reality, confirming that life question and your assertion would bulb require bulb knowledge and take hundreds of tests and a ton of statistical analysis - NOT lighting off several bulbs of each type and saying this lasted longer than that............ Of course a Philips XTV will last longer than the Osram lamps - they have thinner filaments and the European "Pictology" on every box tells the owner of the lamps that the lifetime is less than the OEM lamp - look at the words above the two clock pictures. Also note that Euro Regulation 37 caused the manufacturers to write "UP TO" XXX brighter vice "XXX Brighter" - Bulb Knowledge is King over Wild ass guesses.
Hi Balues Clues! We are planning to test every kit’s life, and our comments in the video are only based on what we have seen from user reviews, but it is only an estimate for now. We just wanted people to be aware that they won’t last nearly as long as an OE type bulb. I hope that helps clarify, thanks!
Tried Silverstar Ultras in the H11b form, and one went out at less than 8 months of very limited use.......definitely weren't anywhere close to "$30" for the pair of them, either.
What about the Philips RacingVision halogen
Hi Steven - We tested those as well. They actually now rank #3 in with our new point scale system (both brightness/distance and ambient brightness). Check out the results on our website for details, thanks for watching!
In Australia , Phillips Diamonds , $90.00 lasted 12 months...no more phillips for me
race vision are not road legal, just off road or not public road.
@@mickfromaustralia1762 Halogens are cheap so longevity is not too important. All that matter is how brightly they illuminate the road on front of you.

HI djlobb - I have yes. I tested them after I made this video. The RacingVision's are now the 3rd best I tested ahead of the Nighthawk Platinum's. Check out our website for the specifics. Thanks!
Thanks! What are your thoughts on LED replacements? I've heard they are best used in projector housings.
No problem! LEDs are still new, but growing quickly. I am currently testing a few HID and LED kits, but want to test many more before providing any real results and videos. Thanks!
I would give Led a few more years.

I'm looking for some halogens for my 2010 Lexus ES... unfortunately my LED's are pretty low-light since they don't reflect well in the halogen housings :/
Hey LeoNine Five, check out our latest recommendations for halogen upgrades; www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/recommended/
I am looking for the best quality H9 bulb to match either the Sylvania Silver Star Ultra or Osram. However I cant find an H9 that has comparable light out put. I would rather not mix and match if I don't have to. If I had to can you guide me to get choices for the best ones? Sylvania and Osram don't seem to offer anything but OEM replacement.
Hey Joseph. H9 is typically very limited unfortunately, but the bulb is very bright as a higher wattage (65W) and larger glass bulb compared to H11 (55W). There are a few upgrade choices though, like the Sylvania Silverstar, OSRAM CBB (whiter color), but they won't be too different otherwise compared to stock/OE. Here is our full test chart (based on a 55W bulb): www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/ You could also take a look at an LED conversion as well (www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/), but in a high beam the difference is smaller compared to a low beam LED upgrade. Hope that helps!
I have these bulbs fitted to a 2005 Mistsubishi lancer elegance. The headlight is fine but the high beam (Main beam in UK) is useless. When the main beam is turned on there's a big shadow cast down on the road in front of you, the rest of the beam is thrown out ahead high but is very dim for a main beam. Maybe the factory Lancer headlight is contributing to the effect but the standard yellow bulbs didn't do this. Definitely looking for replacements.
Hey Marty, thanks for sharing! It sounds like the bulb may be seated incorrectly perhaps, or debris in the slot. If it is not exactly positioned you may get some funky beams. Let us know if you do switch to something else and the issue goes away!
I subscribe. Thank you
Thanks for the support!
2005 model kia rio night vision of my car is very bad h4 normal bulb I use what do you think? Which bulb should I use?
Curious that the Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited is brighter than the newer Osram Nightbreaker Lasers?
Hey karstgeo, that's correct. We even tested a number of samples, and the Unlimited's came out brighter in both lux and lumens in all tests. We are not sure why. The Unlimited's last longer as well based on our preliminary lifespan testing.
Osram h7 NightBreakers LASER 😌👌
How about Philips racing vision and osram NBL next gen?
Hey mogan23z, those are both great options, especially the Racing Vision's by Philips. You can find them listed on our full test results chart here; www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/
Hi, will these led headlights run half brightness in DRL mode and full brightness in Higb Beam mode like the stock alogens?
Hey Vic, only certain LED models tested to work on a DRL dimmed, in both 6v and PWM. You can find the results from our tests on the LED chart.
When I bought my 2001 Ford F-150 back in ‘02. The headlights were stock, never upgraded. I traded that truck in 2018 and it still retained the factory headlight bulbs, never replaced them. Talk about long life !!!
I just purchased at 1999 Ford Taurus as a second car , first thing I upgraded the headlights to a Sylvania zxe wow what a difference love the zxe ,also when I took out the headlight bulbs to replace them the date on the headlight bulb a 9007 by the way was 3/99 LMAO both bulbs were original sylvania 9007 bulbs 20 year old bulbs and the still work..

I've always ran Nokya, I was curious how they did on your test?
Hi Adam, we test Nokya bulbs. Check out the results here: bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/#nokya
I have a 2002 mustang and I bought blacked out headlights which of these products do you think I should buy so I can see at night time best
Hi Mark, blacking out your headlights will drastically reduce the output. I would recommend restoring them to a clear lens. If you leave them though, upgrading to HID or LED would be the best option to offset the restricted output. I hope that helps!
How about these vs LED? Which type is brighter overall? (especially in high beams as my factory lows are pretty incredible already)
Hi Stephen, LEDs will typically be brighter, especially in a low beam. High beam halogens can be of a higher wattage, sometimes beating out even the better LED models. So it's hard to say, but take a look at our test chart to see how they compare to a standard halogen bulb. www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/
I recently purchased night vision clear low beam. Are they good or no. I haven't install them yet. Because I gotta get high beam bulbs
Hi Karen! We haven't tested that set, but I will be sure to add them for future testing! Based on the design though since they are clear, they should perform well for you, especially in a high-beam.

Hey Dani! Any standard or upgraded Halogen kit under 4500k will work well in your situation. Just stay away from 'Xenon' look kits as they look more white/blue, but the output is not as good and they perform poorly in inclement weather.
@@BulbFacts Thanks for your reply ! So do you think is best option for me to upgrade to LED bulbs instead of halogen then ?

@@DaniWayne369 I'd stick with Halogen as LED is a much whiter color, even blueish, and isn't as good for rain, snow, etc. The only LED kit I can recommend is the Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0, as they have a lower color temp of 5150k: ebay.to/2BLEcky

Hi Sparkle King! H9 is pretty hard to come by. Your best bet for that size would be a PIAA Xtreme White Plus kit: amzn.to/2KspC3U. I hope that helps!
Could you review the Hella's performance 2.0 bulbs please?
Hi Gavin, you can find the test details on our chart here for the Hella Perf. 2.0's; www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/
@@BulbFacts got it! I bought the bulbs before I looked at your list. My first impression is not much of an improvement after I switched over from OEM.
Your chart confirmed my suspicion. Once I have a reason I will go with your recommendation. ( I like how you have Lux, lumens and life span on there... Very easy to compare)
Cheers
@@sonysony18 no problem!
What's the best high beam halogen for brightness? Don't care for color temp
Hi Teddy & Gyro! The best Halogen for high beam would be the Flosser High Wattage kit. I just got done testing it recently in fact, and it ranked #1 in high-beam performance in our tests, and is only $19 on eBay (ebay.to/2OY4F3K). Remember that the higher wattage will run hotter, but if it's high-beams I wouldn't worry too much. The next choice for a normal wattage would be the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (amzn.to/2QlaZ5L). It's still very good but is a bit more expensive at around $45 depending on size. I hope that helps!
how about testing the auxbeam led 9005 and 9006 vs the opt 7 9005 and 9006!!!!!!!
Hi DuraMAxFanatic! The Opt7 is on my list for testing in the future. I will add the Auxbeam as well. I'll be doing a separate video for LED and HID kits in the future once I can test quite a few of them to find the best ones. Thanks!
I have the auxbeam 9005 and 9006 in my 2002 chevy 2500hd..they are 6500K and they are blue..there bright..but I want to go to 5000k..because that is pure white..
5000k is the best color in our opinion as well and it keeps you more discreet and clean, but everybody has their choice of course. I will circle back here once I have LED testing done!
Sir did u tested roots or Philips hid 12000k
Hi Anjum! We have tested all OE Philips D-Series bulbs (bulbfacts.com/hid-oe/chart/). We'll be doing a video soon on those!
What do you think about Osram D4S Cool blue Boost 7000k Hyper blue bulbs,$139? Are these any good?
They are actually one of our top recommended products from the Xenon line of bulbs, you can find our video testing them here; ua-cam.com/video/f_VwHnHE4Vw/v-deo.html
Too bad NONE of these are available in H9 high beam from what I can find. Can you do another test for high beams?
Hey Robert you are correct, unfortunately H9 is limited, however even a standard H9 is very bright still. We'll certainly do different bulb sizes including H9 in the future!
5 years later after video. I'm finally retiring from eBay/Amazon HID kits, LED kits, have always installed them in all my cars, none have had projectors, always regular reflector housings, been doing since high school back in 2008.
A ballast burned out in my current HID kit, and it burned out the actual wore harness for the headlight. And because I'm old now and i don't feel like replacing wiring often, I'm retiring from the aftermarket (cheap) HID kits. I picked up a set of Sylvania Ultras, they didn't have the ZxE in stock.
P.s. when I tried LED low beam lights they were dangerous, i could not see anything at all.
The quality is all over the place for LED and HID. We are currently testing LED lifespan (Halogen is completed), and you'll see the longevity up on our charts so far. Going with a Sylvania upgraded halogen is always a great option though, especially the Silverstar Ultras. They won't last as long (approx. 50%) compared to long-life, however you'll get much more light and a whiter color (in the realm of halogen).
That’s probably because u bought the cheap no quality led bulbs.
If u want to look for the best to the best of the best led bulbs. Look up from car light reviews, to headlight revolution- the truth, stay away 3-4 sided led, and the best and brightest led bulbs.z
Went onto the osram website but couldn’t find any bulbs that would match my 2011 Kia Forte here in the US
I would use the Philips guide, as it's pretty reliable; www.automotivebulbfinder.com/philips/
Cool blue are the best for osram I like them
Cool blue color doesn’t project as far as white
Of those top 2, which have the higher kelvin-color?
Hi Marcus, they're just about the same color temperature.
