You can "name" anything that you are intimately connected to, even if it is not essentially conscious, it still is relating to you on a deep level, so anyone disrespecting your idea on that can go somewhere else. I play other types of stringed instruments. When I explain them to others with an overly enthusiastic sense of humor and encouragement, I am often met with a reaction such as : "You are either heavily medicated or really sarcastic ! "..... You so have my respect and admiration.
It depends on a few things really. A, how much are you willing to spend. B, The sound of the harp. C, the space you have available for the harp. 22 strings are cheaper smaller and still have a wonderful sound, you can have 3 octaves to play around with. 34 strings can be wat way more expensive, bigger, and less travel friendly. With the 34 you have a little over 4 octaves to play around with. It just depends on what you want and what you need out of a harp! But I'd stay away from the brand Royal crafts. I find that brand is overpriced and doesn't have very good quality. If you want a slightly larger harp then 22 strings but is still smaller than a 34 harpsicles are very good! 22 strings would not be great for developing proper technique. Contrary to the thought that less is easier, it will require more experience to arrange for something so small.
The Third Harp goes from D1 to G7 (there is no red string at the bottom, If there was the harp would go down to C1) the fourth harp goes from A1 to E7 (this means you only loose 2 strings at the top and four at the bottom which doesnt have a massive inpact on most harp music) Hope this helps!
I got mine directly from the at harpsicleharps.com. The harpsicle is a 26 string harp and you can choose a model with or without levers. Affordable and they have great customer service! Hers looks like the Special Edition Fullsicle in cherry wood. You can also choose walnut or regular fullsicle in maple.
You must be very rich to own such harps which is good. Most people will never see a harp in the flesh so to speak. The harp will never be totally be popular because of the stiff prices going higher every year especially the pedal ones. Many a talented person will never get the chance to create music because of this until a company ever comes out with one where the lower income folk can buy them. The harp will have its followings but nothing what it could be and that's so sad.
That`s because all of you in western world are living under the capitalism and accepting its set of rules. The poor peopole are not allowed to make his art and play his music to do the World beter than it is.
As a matter of fact, there are loads of harp players. Not everyone plays a pedal harp -- the lever harp is very popular in Ireland. There is virtually a harp to fit every budget. Some people can coax a lot of music out of a 22 string harp

If a harp is your dream, get a second or third job for the purpose of saving for that goal. Or become a harp maker that gives away harps to those who dream of it since you are so ''sad'' about unused talent or unaffordability. I was poor. I worked hard to change that. Anyone can if they put their mind to it.
I have so much respect for musicians who truly become one with their instruments, this has been a wonderful introduction to your harps ❤

Does the 4th harp have the same exact number of strings just like the third harp?
No the 4th has 40 strings and the 3rd has 46 which is why the 4th is more portable.
Since the 3rd Harp has the strings from C1 to G7, what are the note frequencies from the 4th One? C1 to G6?, Or C2 to G7?
