I'd keep the PMJ Haley train rolling for now. I recommend Seven Nation Army next. Haley has a ton of fans who like to watch genuine reactions
"i luv this girl". that is a pretty long line your getting in... lol. since you have seen "creep" which maybe the best cover ever made imho . try "all about the bass" is another great postmodern jukebox performance and second most popular behind "creep" and even filmed the same day. it includes haley (in the middle), but also introduces you to julliard grad morgan james (on right) and ariana savalas, tele from the show kojack's daughter (on left). it is just a superb arrangement. all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: habits, black hole sun, mad world, seven nations army, oops i did it again, lovefool. i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little acrobats, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like. you can find it here: (ua-cam.com/video/_uNpEbt7w_o/v-deo.html)

Haley is a dangerous lady. She's very addictive.
Pretty: yeah... stage presence: charming as heck... vocals: she is the sun, shining brighter than all things.
She's a once in a lifetime talent.
She has incredible "soul", control, and power wherever she wants it.
She can scat, whistle, growl, and vocally dance around the various registers with absolutely perfect tone and that heart-melting hint of rasp which adds an almost ASMR dimension to her music.
About 4 bars in, every person in room turns and stares, and forgets for a moment she's a hot blonde in a tight sparkly dress, and tries to wrap their heads around the voice. That's how good she is.
Somehow it's always great to watch other men (and women) fall in love with Haley, when obviously I should be jealous instead.
Could you blame me? She’s perfection.
She knows how to control her voice better than most and it is absolutely captivating.
Yes..... She is talented she's gorgeous and there's just something about her voice, it just draws you in and puts you into mesmerizing trance.

Haley you sealed the deal on this song too, and have made it your own. A very smooth rendition rising to crescendos with gusto it's her song now, she really knows how to pull a song apart and lift it into the stratosphere.😊
Haley is in total control of that performance from the moment it begins t'il the end. No loose ends. She's my favorite female vocalist... without question.

Omg. I had no idea that Scott Bradlee is the pianist in the group. I saw his name a few times in front of the bands, and I assumed he was just a behind-the-scenes producer of some kind.

Black Hole Sun is a must from PMJ and Hayley. It’s less well known than the other covers they’ve done with her but it’s one of my favorites!! You won’t regret it! But really you should do all the songs they’ve don’t together lol

You really need to try Seven Nation Army done by Haley and Postmodern Jukebox.
You should check out some of her other collaborations with Post Modern Jukebox. Seven Nation Army, Black Hole Sun, Love Fool and All About That Bass. Haley is my very favorite modern singer by a mile.
I heard this for the first time today and immediately thought of you and your reaction to it. She is such a talented star.
Notice it's Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox. Scott is the piano player. He creates the arrangements. He started out recording videos in NYC with band members crowded into his apartment living room. He moved to LA and tapped into a new talent pool. Now the videos are filmed at his house that was purchased from an old director. They call it PMJ Manor.
You expressed what many think upon hearing Haley--especially with PMJ. She's said in the past she thinks of her performances with them as her alter ego.
Haley's parents have had a band all of her life. Her dad plays guitar and her mother sings. She is very close to them. A video that is very well-received is Haley performing with her father just over a year ago at Chess Records in Chicago (her hometown).
It was part of an online music festival to raise money for independent venues. The format was such that they rotated from performer to performer around the country. She does some banter before each song. The first is "Can't Find My Way Home" and the second is an original song titled, "Don't Know How to Love You." The video has 533,000 views and would probably have more if it had mentioned CFMWH in the title.
It's a studio-quality live recording worthy of a reaction (20K likes to 145 thumbs down).

Some people, like Scott and Haley, are born with all the talent in the world. Truly, it’s amazing watching them. With Scott at the helm and his amazing supporting cast behind him, I can’t see how this band could fail.

If yes, you must, must, must see/hear her covering Seven Nation Army( by Radio Head ) another PMJ production. They say it’s in the New Orleans dirge style. Whatever it’s called, it might be the most sensual recording to date. Haley knocks it out of the park. Another good PMJ is “all about that jazz.” That also includes Morgan James who kills PMJ’s production of Aerosmith’s “dream on.” Yep. Haley is fabulous. Give Scott some recognition by reacting to his endless catalogue of his other guest vocalists instead of the usual ones that others have been reacting to for years now. Nah, she is actually doing pretty well according to her. She recently talked about being off of the big labels and doing her own work again with Concord. She's got another new album coming out this year (already out?) and she just LIKES performing with PMJ and groups she made her way up with. She just hasn't had a lot of time while building her own music base the last few years. Not to mention, she makes a pretty penny from all the songwriting she's done over the years as well. She's just plain awesome :) Don't be sad, be happy that she is just so damned awesome!
@@MandrakeDCR You sound like your mother dropped you on your head or something when you were a little baby. I mean, how many times have you heard Haley's own music played on the radio and how many times have you watched her performing on network TV?
Meanwhile, her contract with Concord, which is a joke of a record label that doesn't even promote it's own music, much less their artists roster, was for a one off cover album. Meanwhile, Haley signed that idiotic deal with Concord after doing nothing other than covers since she had been on American Idol. In other words, she needed to do a cover album for Concord at the time like she needed a freaking heart attack.
It was the absolute most stupid deal of her career. Especially when you consider the fact that she turned down all the big major record labels to sign that insane deal she did with Concord. Not to mention that she gained exactly zero via that deal with Concord. As the only reason why she even signed that utterly ridiculous deal with Concord, to begin with and in the first damn place, was to throw her fan base who were expecting her to sign a deal with a big major record label a bone. Some of you people are so damn narrow-minded and uneducated that it is mind boggling.
As for as her upcoming EP goes, it doesn't matter. It will be released independently, meaning that she is practically giving away her own music for pennies on the dollar. None of it will be mass promoted and none of it will be played on the radio. She will inevitably sell a few thousand records and that's it. Meanwhile, if she was a signed music artist, on the other hand, she'd be selling millions of records. Damn, some of you people are so damn dumb that it blows my freaking mind.
Furthermore, she never made any money performing with PMJ because PMJ rips off music artists! Which is why a bunch of former PMJ performers cooperated together to attack Scott Bradlee on the Internet for ripping them off while Scott himself became a millionaire. What planet do you live on?
Uhm, explain how can she build a music base without any exposure? One of these days, you are going to have to explain that one to me.
As for as the songs she wrote goes, she used to make some money from the songs she wrote from the time when she was briefly signed to Interscope Records, but that source of revenue has long ago dried up.
If Haley had any sense, she'd stop running her own damn career yesterday, and do what all the most successful music artists have done and that is hire a professional business manager to negotiate her record deals for her and to run her day to day career for her. As Haley doesn't have the first freaking clue what she is doing and in which is why she has been running her career into the ground already for years now.

Anyways, your points, while dripping with vitriol, seem to be an accurate assessment. I never hear her on the radio. Perhaps because she is just too good and classy for that sort of venue. The radio, and all the companies involved with that medium, control the industry. They want to control talent like Haley. I, for one, am glad she isn't being controlled by anyone. Her music is fantastic.

Which is kind of peculiar when you think about it. Since the job of a music artists is to bring as much joy and happiness to the world as possible via their music.
