I can't get enough of how espressive her guitar playing is. Considering how shy and humble she is offstage to the point of being somewhat dorky and called an airhead, she definitely loves doing it to bits to lose herself like that I hope she never loses this side of her. I get chills picturing how epic the scene would be of her going wild like this in front of a packed stadium. I'm already itching for the day they finally make it to Tokyo dome....

Overall I liked the Echoplex in Los Angeles, for ex., but that room had some really badly placed columns, too. Meanwhile, at my least favorite venue so far, the House of Blues in Dallas, if you're not tall, and not at the rail, forget about seeing your artists below the neck.
This reminds me of seeing Van Halen, the first live rock n roll concert of my life. When Eddie did his solo, the rest of the band just stood back in awe while the magic happened!
I understand the idol culture and don’t even bother trying to tell me Band-Maid are not an idol band because I have been a member of Band-Maid fans Worldwide and the way the fans carry on was cringy to say the least, but as someone who has studied Jimi Hendrix’s work and transcribed some of his work, Kanami is not even close and she cites Santana as her main influence not Hendrix.
Kanami, in live performances, plays amazing solos. While playing a true guitar solo unaccompanied takes time to develop, Kanami is getting the hang of it. Kanami does seem to go into a trance and become a guitar thunder goddess ! Musically Kanami is a virtuoso who has mastered chord work, harmony, and powerful, yet precisely played solos.
Gawd, how I love Mincho! Band Maid is most definitely the result of all of its perfect parts but I think Mincho might be my favourite. For so many reasons. Just for who she is not being the least of those.
Just love these ladies. Small, hole in the wall joint and still loving what they're doing. Wish they'd catch on better here in USA so they would tour. I'd be there in a headrbeat.

Kanami is a master at integrating her solos on her songs (she's composed some memorable ones) but I noticed some attempts at improvisation since last year tour. Not quite there yet, but fun to witness her attempting anyway! I trust she'll improve since her motto seems to be: I'll do my best! EDIT: of course I had to watch this repeatedelly, many times! And then I noticed: 1) Kanami's awesome "suck on that" face at 1:36; 2) Misa and Miku "easy easy" patting at 2:16. That was FUN!
It is interesting. Some guitarists start with such a cocktail of sounds and their possibilities. Kanami started with what the best ones finish with. From memorable, well-thought-out and pampered pearls in the form of mini-solos, decorating every song in a perfectly chosen way. Now, probably she will have to come to the bar with MISA for a moment before each such spontaneous solo :) But, maybe she will approach a bit to my favorite Japanese guitarist, Hisako Tabuchi, whose slightly crazy, dissonant solos are something wonderful and unusual. Let Kanami just add something like that, and it will be a new extent in the whole Band Maid sound.

Was Mincho supposed to finish at 0:56? Looking at Akane, it seems like she was ready to punch the air along with that last note. Just looking at the ladies they seem surprised Mincho went crazy at that moment.
0:59 At that time she started playing a song by Santana. Kanami has stated many different times that Carlos Santana is one of her guitar role models. The other band members probably didn't know she was going to play some of that song, but she tended to do some crazy stuff during this moment of this setlist.
