Oh my gosh! I laughed I cried… if I could’ve seen that when I was coming out in 1983, I could’ve saved myself a lot of heartache and tears. Thank you so much. That was fabulous!
As the president of the Unofficial Bradley Dean Fan Club, I'd like to welcome all our new members who just watched this performance and fell in love. Love seeing people react so positively to this incredible performance of his!
@@adamyourke That was me when I saw him in Bat Out of Hell in 2019. "Holy shit how did I not know about this guy until now?!" And now I run the Unofficial fan club! 😂
How totally fun! Love this show, which despite the Rob Marshall film, remains very much underrated. And this is its best song. Inspired casting of Bradley Dean. Couldn't imagine anyone more perfect for that role. Wonder how Fellini would have reacted to this delightfully unique evolution of his Saraghina character. But then to my knowledge, he never reacted to Sweet Charity either on stage or film. In all events, thanks for posting this delicious and marvelously staged take on the material.
Less than 0.0025% of 26 million Italian Americans have ties to organized crime. My ancestry is 100% Italian. My family emigrated from Italy 120 years ago, and I come from a line of lawyers and physicians dating back 400 years. Given that Broadway Backwards (which I typically enjoy) is all about advancing tolerance and acceptance and subverting long held, damaging stereotypes, it is especially disheartening to see one of the very few positive portrayals of Italians in popular culture reconceived by promoting the pervasive and blatantly offensive depiction of Italian-Americans as gangsters and buffoons. My kindest criticism is that it lacks imagination. I suspect there aren’t many other demographics in this day and age that its creators would treat in such cavalier fashion.
lmao. you poor thing. i think you were so concerned about being offended that you missed the entire point of this number. but I digress, I'll let ya get back to finding the next traumatic thing to be offended by for no reason. good day.
If you find this offensive, you probably know nothing about Broadway Backwards/Equity Fights Aids and you're most likely homophombic as well. Sad for you

Offensive in so many ways. I stand by the OG cast I saw in 1982
