I met this young man when he was a teen maybe 15 or 16 he was amazing then and from what I can see he is phenomenal now I am so very proud of him!!!!

The fact that he does acting , dancing, and singing into one category for drama is my dream life
The mask class is something I've always wanted to do, but most arts classes don't have an entire lesson for it. I love costumes and masks, because in one costume you're someone entirely different than in another costume.

Wow. That all looked so fun and rewarding. I'm introverted, but when I hit the stage, I love where I am and I feel comfortable, and really come out of my shell so to speak. Do you think Juilliard could still be the place for me though I'm shy?
A lot of actors and performers are more introverted or shy when they are not in the spotlight, so theater training could still be a great fit for you. I'm the exact same way! the only problem is that sometimes I hold back in improv or other acting exercises just because it takes me a while to feel comfortable. But when I'm performing, all my anxiety goes away.

I visited Juilliard during Thanksgiving break, and it was so amazing. I had visited the school in my dreams, and it felt so right, you know? This video was awesome! It makes me happy to see people who love acting as much as I do 😊❤️

I'm only 11 but I really want to go there! I want to Just be a New Yorker, I want to live there, Be on Broadway, sing, I just love the feeling of waking up every morning with the sound of cars and beeping. My family knows I like singing but I just would love to go to my dream school. Singing is something I've wanted to do since forever! Living and doing something I love in m dream city would make me feel so alive and happy! I hope to be a legend and be free like the people who go here they are my inspirations. I've been begging my parents to let me visit NYC for a while I would just do anything to be able to go for just a day and see a Broadway show! The city is just something that is attached to me something I can never let go of.

I've always wanted to be a pianist but I am so concerned about what might happen in the future. I'm only 12 but I am scared that if I become a pianist, I would never make enough money to sustain myself. Many might prove me otherwise but that's my fear. I am currently part of the school's chorale but, I don't like to sing. I believe that you'll make an amazing singer but for me, I went there for the piano. I am so happy that there are so many people like us aspiring to be artists!!!
@@b.quinchana the thing is, when you get into a career in the arts, if you start with fear of failure, you're already at disadvantage, because you need stamina to endure the physical and psychological demands of it, it is not easy and You can't walk into it with hesitation.

I loved how he walked through his day explaining the process of each class including breaks. I find this to be extremely useful and it shows the dedication and the inspiration each moment has to offer.
This is everything I want. I need to be surrounded by people who have my passion for acting and singing. I’m not sure why but I just feel like I’m flying when I do acting and being myself. I just know this is the school for me. I’m in 9th grade right now but I’m going to push myself hard these next for years, gain my confidence and apply for Julliard.

Watching this is both inspiring and sad. Inspiring because acting and drama are some of the most beautiful facets of the world and becoming an actor and receiving any form of success and recognition is a privilege and achievement in itself. It’s sad because getting accepted into an intensive conservatory like this and even eventually getting any form of golden opportunities as an actor is tough. It’s one of the most beautiful yet fiercely competitive professions in the world!

I am currently in 8th grade and recently auditioned for LaGuardia highschools drama and vocal programs. I honestly love both equally.. maybe drama a little more. I pray every night that I get in. And that later, I'd get in to my dream college: julliard

Man this guy gave me so much hope,! I see so much of my self in him. You know, I say whats the harm in trying! I mean the odds are more than likely this school will close the door, but that doesn't mean we have to quit acting. I hope everyone attempts to audition for this school, and show them that there're more than 8-10 talented worthy actors/actresses that could study here. Break the class doors open and make art guys. Lets go graduating class of 2018! Show Julliard what its missing this year.

This is a very insight and informative video about The Julliard school. I always dreamed of seeing myself on a film set, but I'm more into being behind the camera then in front of the camera. I also always dreamed of myself playing as an extra in a film. I would never desire to become a lead actress or a supporting actress in anyway, shape, or form because there's plenty of responsibility and pressure that comes with it.
The Juilliard is one of the best acting schools in the states. If you learn from the best you will get the best. It's hard work and a bit of talent... Wonderful input! Thanx!

I was forced to pick a college in freshman year to “plan” to go to. I chose Juilliard knowing I love acting and New York- since then, Juilliard is the only school I think about when someone asks me what I want to do after high school. Granted, I have a couple more years left until then, but when I do apply, I pray I get in.

I graduated high school last year, I did two drama classes, school drama production and an external drama production. This year I ve done nothing drama related and I miss it so much. I miss my tight knit classes and the laughs we would share and the different exercises that you then get to see how they apply to improving a scene. Honestly the only thing I miss about high school was that. Might look into uni’s but I’m just too impatient. I just wanna act, forever honestly.

This is so crazy, because all the classes he takes here are the things I absolutely LIVED FOR in school and in my mind. I always loved any opportunity to get outside of myself. Perhaps act a little silly. To me, it seems like playing games all day, but of course it's Juilliard, so you take your games very seriously...but to me, this stuff is all just great fun. Or at least it looks like it.

I’m in 7th grade and I always wanted to be a veterinarian. But I have a feeling musical theater is what I really want to do, I’m super shy but it looks so fun. I’m already taking theater lessons and I hope I can make it here someday.
Some people may not believe in me including some members of my own family, but I believe in me and I will make it to Julliard. Do or do not, there is no try. And I will do it! I've been waiting for this!!
I’m only a freshman in high school and acting has a place in my heart ever since I was little my parents would ask me what I want to be and I would always tell them acting they don’t support me all the way because it’s a really hard career and I know that but sometimes you just know that you belong and that you know who you are. I look at movie plays tv shows and I see what there doing and I know that that’s where I wanna be. Every day till I get to the point for college I’m going to keep doing what I do but I know that I’ll audition for Juilliard even if it’s so so far from my home Texas. And out of all those people that Audition each year you never know because they have just the amount of chance as you do so now you just have to prove to them why you’re there and what makes you special you have to stand out and make them remember you. Because at the end of the day you’ll have given your audition the best and you should walk out proud. See you in 4 to 5 years Juilliard meanwhile I’ll keep acting

Kynnadea Sloan I know this reply is late, but if you want to be prepared for college and the future, I would recommend to start studying now, for example, go to your local library and get books about acting and singing. Also maybe get a vocal coach or get singing lessons. Maybe join theatre groups as well :)
o I already am in theatre and I have been for a while. I just so happen to have an audition coming up on Monday and I had a vocal coach and we're gonna call someone either this week or this weekend to start lessons back up again. And thank you for the tips

Hi Juilliard I’m currently 13 and I’ve known about Juilliard for a while but my name is Adrian Forister and I really want to apply here when I’m older. I love to sing and act. And I know Juilliard can help me to pursue this dream of mine. Me and my friend Amelie hope to come here when we’re older. We both just stared lead roles in our middle school drama play. In front of over 400 people. She’s done a high school play and I am also in band so we’ve both performed in front of big crowds. And we both are ready to rock the stage when we audition!

I have always wanted to be actor since I was 5 and I love directing and Entertaining people. I'm not the best actor I'm 14 but, I'm passionate for it but, I have stage fright and strudder when I'm act in front of people. I want to take acting classes but, my parents can't afford it and my dad just doesn't like the idea of me acting but, I love it. I heard of this school from Adam driver always talking about so I wanted to keep it out. and now I'm in love.
