Well, if you actually watch the movie, you know that they hadn't dealt with other people in years.I think they said they hadn't seen somebody in 5 years, so although I would have never trusted any colonizing pilgrims.These movies teach me.I'm glad I don't have kids and to trust no one.
Another survival film where the white people sacrifice themselves for other people just because the color of their skin, as if handing off civilization to a group of people that deserve it more because the color of their skin isn't white.
Would you really watch the movie if it was just them making the correct decisions, sitting in the bunker doing nothing and eventually dying of old age?

The only person who made the right decision was Darius. Resident Evil girl,Groot's friend and Darius's family should all take a course in decision-making 🤣
Darius was the most stupid one. He saw there was only two months of oxygen left so he left pretending to go bury his father and just die out there so his family could have more time and to figure things out. He didn't explain himself to them so the time he was gone they weren't working on progress much as he was the main one working on his work/machine and a solution. He could have used less than two months time to try and find a solution or he could have hinted and tried to teach them to find solutions before he left. The mother did it on her own with the daughter. Not telling anyone anything and just going to your doom and leaving your family to guess and try on their own was so dumb. All the people in this movie were dumb.

A long standing trope of movies. Just like they rarely show how sunny it can be at snow resorts, and in a disaster movies there's some mysterious rule that the camera must pan across an abandoned child's toy.

Guns don't need oxygen from the atmosphere to fire. The ammunition itself contains an oxidizer, a chemical that provides the oxygen needed for the gunpowder to explode and propel the bullet. This sealed environment allows the gun to function even in the vacuum of space.

@@seadee23 It did but not in the way you think, or in the way it's portrayed in the movie. Oxygen is not flammable, but it promotes combustion. And that's what happened to the astronauts. An electric fire started, and the oxygenated environment made that everything flammable went up in flames really fast.
If you light a cigarette in a 100% oxygenated room, you don't magically explode, but the cigarette burns extremly fast. That's it. If you shot a shotgun in the same environment you wouldn't cause any explosion.

If you shot a shotgun in a normal oxygenated atmosphere, everything works normally but if a sparks hits a piece of paper it might slowly start a flame.
If you shot a shotgun in a 100% oxygenated environment, everything works normally but the sparks burns SO FAST (because oxygen is not flammable but it is an ACCELERANT) that it doesn't even reach the paper of the ground. If it does, the whole sheet of paper burns up ALMOST INSTANTLY.

My first two understanding is that the oxygen levels have dropped so plant live died. Plants live off carbon dioxide acceleration of human and animal activity. The greatest supply of oxygen comes from our oceans. Humans will die. Plants will thrive and firearms will not work well without oxygen give us another reason, hypersaline oceans that produced acid rain and salted the Earth
