It's a common thing in movies where they act like they're beating someone up but it's all staged. Yes you could see it through the window but that view was horrible so could have been fake. Like if it was to make an example why not do it where they could see?
this is THE ONLY bank heist video where you can find no flaw. even if they got arrested since the weapons were plastic and the kill was fake their sentence would have been reduced a lot. But the plan is flawless. Only movie where i can believe 100% that it would work.
I just found out a flaw! When the robbers and hostages got out the bank wearing the same suit and the cops arrested them, they could easily identify who the robbers were. As they had the footage of the bank before the robbery, they can remove anyone who doesn't have the mask from the suspect list. Instead they thought to question them and poorly searched the area and let everyone go.
Mistaking Albanian with Russian is wild. Albanian isn’t even a Slavic language and the Russian policeman, if he really knew Russian, would never mistake it for Bulgarian as Russians would understand some Bulgarian but pretty much no Albanian.
Those robbers are very intelligent and were able outsmart the police. They didn't kill the hostages and were able to escape successfully. This movie is expertly written with foreshadowing and tension that keeps you entertained.
This reminds me of that Argentina robbery where they robbed the bank and gave the hostages pizzas caused it was his/her b day and sang him a b day song and only stolen 20m using only toy guns
My internet was out for a few days and I went through my old movies and found this one. I was so happy that my internet went out after watching this movie. Its underrated and really good! Even when you think you know how it will end, it will throw a wild twist and surprise you
The bit about the Sikh being racially abused by the police wasn’t necessary, but I’m in a way glad they added it in there as a sort of shock of reality if you know what I mean.
Love the little connections this movie makes to previous scenes. Frazier using the recorder the police woman showed to record Madeline. Dalton requesting sandwiches the second time around for food because he had bugged them and heard the first time they should get pizza and not sandwiches. Frazier asking people during questioning if they want gum because Dalton asked him when he entered the bank. Great movie and details

They have talked about marriage when the detective was in the bank. The detective mentioned that he doesnt have much money and if he should marry his girlfriend. Dalton answered if they love eachother money should not be the problem.
one part forgotten is the reason he put the diamond in his pocket was that the old man involved with the heist talked to Denzel's character about diamonds, jewelry and wedding rings.
Normally, I hate robot narration in videos because of how poorly written they are, but this content is great. The writing is amazing, it's like I'm back in literary analysis, but I don't have to be the one analyzing. Liked + Subscribed.
For anyone that cares (🤣😂🤣😂), the ending with Frazier pulling out the diamond stemmed from a conversation with him and Dalton when he went in the bank. Dalton ask if he was married, with Frazier responding he doesn't have enough for a ring, after Daltom saying what does that matter. Frazier finds the ring and now he has no excuse.

As a Muslim woman who wears a headscarf I found it disrespectful that they removed the Sikh man's turban the way they did. I understand the requirement for checking I suppose it could have been done in a more dignified manner.
It's a good detail to show they aren't greedy monsters early, up until then they've robbed a bank, held hostages, and smacked a dude, so a small act of kindness shows early they have the potential to be good, instead of just later at the final moment being like "Oh yeah, and they no kill anyone, and they no steal anything" When that is revealed it feels in character for them, especially with the other ones later like saving the old man.

I absolutely love this movie. One of the few Blu rays I own. That being said the whole storyline with Jodie Foster and the bank owner felt like padding for the run time, fun filler though.
This is worth watching for real if anyone is curious, the summary doesn't quite do it justice, the effect of the pacing and sequencing in the movie itself is really great to watch
