thankfully now they double badgers come with a 3/8th dove tail on them built in and I just put a 3/8th to pic rail adapter and put a 1-4 center point red/green dot reticle scope on mine. its basically a red on the 1x setting and I can go up to 4x with it for longer shots with slugs or to be more precise with the 22 barrel.

@@TheOldFatDadGooberit was actually your video 3 years ago that made me get one. I needed a new 410 since my old Sears special 3 round bolt gun from the 50s that was my grandfsthers broke a firing pin and I cant get a new one unless I have a machine shop custom make it that I remembered your video and got myself a double badger. I was quite surprised and happy that they now have a 3/8th rail onto instead of those dumb drilled mount holes as I already had a few dovetail to picatinny adapters from different 22s and pellet guns so I took a center point scope I had from an sks project i abandoned for now and put it on there and its been great. The 410 barrel holds a good 5 inch group with slugs at 100 yards with my hand loads and the 22 is a 2 inch gun at 100 yards with cheap federal 40 grain ammo. Thank you for your video and it really was what made me pick one up all these years later when I needed a new anti varmint gun to keep my chickens safe.

I bought one yesterday for my wifey. We're both old and wifey is tiny. She likes small rifles and has the Circuit Judge. The .22 mag is why we got it. The price of ammo sux but so it goes. For training youngsters a single shot is perfect.

That shot barrel has a full choke on it.. you aren't going to get any sort of accuracy on a foster syle slug with a full choke as it will mash the skirt on the way out... also .410 is illegal for deer in wisconsin (where I am)
But... Chiappa also makes a .22/20 guage with a changeable choke tube. A 20 guage foster slug through a cylender choke or improved cylender is gonna be a way better choice for deer

I got the .22 lr and 410 I think the .22 mag is a bit much for that short barrel, I got it for a barn yard gun so will be mostly close shots, and know way would I put a scope on that rifle they are not that accurate . still working on what ammo to use for the .22 lr the CCI CB shorts not good at all in the double badger. To me accurate is dime size groups at 25 yd. I want to be able to shoot a chicken in the head every time, the 410 is for varmints on the run. If I am going to shoot for meat I want head shots, no pellets in my meat,

Thanks for watching! I agree that this is mainly a varmint gun. I was tempted to go with 22LR, but I like the 22 mag for a little more power on raccoons and coyotes. Also, I have a few 22 LR already.

It's a short range gun for small game hunting. I'd thing you would t want to hunt anything passed 40-45 yards at most. Which begs the question; why the hell would you put a scope on it!???

Hate to tell ya but those zip ties ain’t doing squat to hold that on bud. Chiapa is known for making things to where you must buy their companies accessories like the little badger’s pistol grip.
I’m sure if you would have gone to the chiapa website they would have had the correct scope base, rings, and mounting screws for this gun. Good luck getting that JB weld off.

@@TheOldFatDadGoober after a little searching I found out that you need a two pice scope mount. One half of a Ruger 10/22 will work so you can buy two sets of those..... or savage two pice mount fits perfect..... although I’m not sure which exact model but Walmart should have them. Sounds like the biggest problem was your screws being the wrong size so if you haven’t f’d up your threads when you get the savage mounts the screws should be perfect. And like I said..... those zip ties and doing shit so I’d just cut them off. They won’t hold worth a damn.

Wow you ruined that gun. You should have sent it back to Chiappa they would have repaired it for you. If it shot crooked from the factory they would have warrantied it. I sent mine back due to misfires on the .22 mag barrel. It was light strikes. It took eight weeks but they repaired it under warranty.

Firstly I want to say I'm disgusted by your use of JB Weld and zipties. There is a thing called Loctite and if blue doesn't work step up to red.
It's clear that this isn't a target gun meant for the range, it's an outdoorsman's gun meant for the field and it seems to be a good choice for that considering the light weigh of the gun, the ammo, and you could even use chamber inserts to shoot .32, .38, or 9mm from the .410 barrel. For the few hundred bucks they cost, I'm thinking if anyone wants a .410 single shot shotgun to skip it and grab one of these instead.
