    Actually, I just wanted to see if it worked. And whether the cordless drill is strong enough, it is :) The spindle is only an M12, I think that this size should be designed Bigger. And in general, everything should be interpreted a little more massive. But it's just a prototype of a smal battery powerd Log splitter
    This time it was just a small project because I have a lot to do privately at the moment.
    Hope you get inspiered for some simular projects.

    If you weld a piece of 50x50mm angle iron to the top of the blade it pops the pieces apart easier without having to run the blade half way down and back every time

    Great device! An additive would be to have gear (or chain) to increase the torque and then the same principle can be applied to a bigger (still mobile though) splitter.

    What a great design and execution. I had to watch this several times just because I liked the build. What welding set up were you using, especially liked that aspect of how you were able to quickly to the tacking and finish welds. I think that would be my only piece of gear missing for me to make one.

    super, cette idée m'avait traversée l'esprit , alors c'est chouette de la voir réaliser. le tube carré cela existe en épaisseur 4 mm et permettrait d'avoir du plus costaud, par contre je n'ai pas compris l'utilité des 2 cornières perpendiculaires où va le couteau en position haute , idem pour ce qui a été fait pour augmenter ou diminuer la longueur de l'ensemble, il me semble que cela devrait le faire juste en prévoyant une longueur max des buches que l'on envisage de couper. Ceci dit j'ai bien compris que c'était un proto, mais il me semble qu'on pourrait le simplifier tout en le renforçant. Et cela ne retire rien à la validation qu'avec une visseuse cela le fait. Merci pour la démonstration.
