    It's hypnotising and fascinating to watch someone like you. A person who have somthing in mind, can plan every step to make, have the skill for every step to build and finally has one piece of art, that is outstanding. The only thing that is disturbing is in fact your quantity. The qualitiy is beyond but i need every friday such a vid for a good start in the weekend :-D

    Very good build Dirk, achieves a consistent grind angle, provides a dedicated grinder wheel and collects the tungsten dust for safer disposal. Well done. Excellent video, very good workmanship.

  • @asjahan7748
    @asjahan7748 2 місяці тому

    brilliant, I would drop in steel thread inserts for the adjustment screw as aluminium thread will wear away after a few hundred turns, but most of the time you stick to one angle for the grind so not that big of a issue. Love that you designed it for sealed sharpening function and not tired to add a cut off and point grind off features which would complicate it unnecessarily. pure simple brilliant can be used for years in the shop

      I think this is awesome. You can wear a mask but the dust goes everywhere. Then when you clean or blow stuff it stirs up that dust again, and no mask. Really a great design.

      @@gnarlock3927 Could you post the code you're referencing? I certainly haven't done it all but it would be something I'd like to be able to reference so I can research the intent. I started as a 56 coded (US Navy nuclear) welder in '93 and have worked in quite a few different roles, on probably a hundred different types of projects as a welder, and have never seen the tungsten angle specified in any weld procedure.
