Amen Jeff N nothing beats Vitamix, mine lasted 21 long years . I bought it in the year of 2000. I used it practically everyday, I do everything with it, I make cakes for many people. I beat all my eggs in it, in no time, it's done and very lite to.. I now throw it away, it went up in smoke. I don't regret it not one minute , I will definitely buy another one. God bless the people who has one. It's the best.

Don't you have it backwards about the difference between Vitamix and Blendtec blades? I have a Vitamix and the blades are dull.

Nope, the video is right on. Blendtec has thick dull blades, Vitamix has sharp pointy blades. The New Vitamix Low Profile Container Blades are a bit thicker than the Standard Vitamix Tall Container tho. Maybe you have the Low Profile Container. But the Blades on a Blendtec Blender Jar have no Sharp edges, it's impossible to cut yourself. Both Blendtec & Vitamix Blenders are fantastic, and both have a great design, we are just pointing out some differences. Here, read this...

Good comparison between these blenders. I keep looking for a comparison between the Affordable models the average homeowner can afford. One blender I can't find any good quality comparison review of is the posame blender on Amazon. It looks as though the base may be able to be rebuilt with bearings of your choice. Think you could find a way to review one of these? Maybe even a cheaper model high powered blender comparison review of this posame vs others? The posame blenders do look a little different built upon inspecting the blender blade base in the reviewers pics. They're $155 or so and have heating function it says.

Blendoffs also I keep looking for a true durability comparison and can't ever find any. Durability of the motors seems great as far as I can tell from reviews but the concerns seem to come from the bearings in the carafe. It'd be awesome to see a durability comparison somehow of these bearings. Maybe tear them apart and score the bearings and race for hardness and compare the seals. Or constant run till failure in a dry carafe maybe? I know my ninja personal blender the bearings seem ok when I tear it apart but even after regreasing them they have enough friction to produce smoke into the carafe which leaves grease taste in the food. To be fair they've been good for over 6 months of fair amount of use. Anyway thanks for the videos!
You have to put liquid in there
the juicer people dont realize that the skin and seeds hold a huge amount of nutrition, which is discarded by a masticating juicer.
Vitamix does not have sharp blades. If they had sharp blades, they would wear out. A huge selling point for Vitamix and the whole reason for the powerful motor is the fact that the blades are dull and pulverize rather than cut.
