      @@lemonwaregames2043 Not even remotely from my experience. Blendtec could not handle seaweed. My Blendtec literally started smoking and died on its 7th run because it could not deal with Seaweed. Vitamix? No problem. So no, you'll never convince me. I think you had a very old version of a Vitamix.

    Apples to Oranges!!! You are using the BLENDTEC COMMERCIAL vs VITAMIX 750 PRO. VITAMIX sells commercial blenders too. THE QUIET ONE is pretty close to the same; 3HP, more programs, less money, and they say it comes in at 64 decibels. I would want to take one for a test drive first, but if I was going to spend $1100 on a blender, I think I would buy the VITAMIX

      The Quiet One has a small capacity container. I believe Vitamix is the superior blender but for what I am doing...making a large smoothie and trying to keep the volume low, the Blendtech is the preferred product. I own 3 Vitamix machines...I'm not getting rid of any of them.

    Hey TJ, great video! Just wanted to point out (since it sounded like nutrients are important to you - as they are to me), that natural digestive enzymes are inactivated when they hit a temperature of over 117 degrees F. So my recommendation would be to blend veggies with the frozen fruit to make sure you dont kill the important enzymes that come from eating raw fruitts and veggies!! Blending technique in keeping heat down is really important to preserve nutrients and enzymes!!

    I’m sure both blenders are excellent if you use them according to proper instructions I love my Blentec . It puts everything I do with it in perfect condition. I love Blentec 25 years and going strong. I get new models periodically because I like to I still have my original one and I get assessories as they come out. I typically make whole food, juice, smoothies, and coffee drinks. I make cold ice cream type smoothies in the summer without milk.
    I will say my sister has the vita mix and she thought it was great until she saw my Blentec and when I put the whole avocado minus the peel only and I grind up the pit just to see easy as I do an almond she was impressed everything I do from my own almond and cashew butter to everything I’ve just mentioned that Blentec does not stop slow down get hot or jam. It never caves. It’s an excellent piece of kitchen equipment whether you have a café or just your home. I just ordered the new locking lids which I think is an improvement and I’ll put them on each of the three of my units. I also just ordered one with the hood for sound dampening.

    This was a great video! I’m curious why you don’t add any liquid to your smoothies. Even a few tablespoons of water, milk, or juice would make all the difference and you could add your frozen fruit at the same time as all of the other ingredients. I’ve had Blendtec for a dozen years and absolutely love it. But I always start with a little liquid, then soft stuff, then frozen fruit and a little ice. Push the smoothie button and there’s no need to tamper. Give it a try. 😋

    My Blendtec stealth 885 barely blends. You can’t put to much ice in it or it just pushes the ingredients up where it won’t blend anymore. Just speeds up. You have to stop it take it out and shake it around and restart it.

    Thank you, however, we need someone to do a comparison with Vitamix's quiet blender vs Blendtec's quiet blender. Would you be willing to do that? I also thought it was interesting that Blendtec's quiet blender was just a little quieter than the Vitamix since the Vitamix blender used wasn't the quiet kind. Regardless it's a great video and I love your point about Blendtec's corners making it an easier pour. You just did research for Vitamix. Cheers!

  • @TheFishface95

    The Vitamix Smoothie was thicker because the blender created a nice, strong vortex which pulled everything down over and over again, so a lot more of the stuff you put in there actually blended. In the Blendtec, the ingredients get tossed around and a lot of particles actually end up sticking to the walls of the container. You could tell just by looking at both after they were done. The Vitamix was clean upwards of a certain point where as the Blendtec was not.

    • @VinaiCharoenwongsawang
      @VinaiCharoenwongsawang Рік тому +2

      It's a function of jar design and blade design. The Blendtic is a ,blunted "blade" while the Vitamix is a blade. The blendtec will generally always kick stuff on the sidewall unless you use a liquid first. The vortex created by both likely wouldn't be very different. The difference here is likely physics. A blunted blade will generate more heat than a bladed one, making the smoother warmer and more viscous.

      @@VinaiCharoenwongsawang one of the things that makes Vitamix blend so well is it DOES HAVE a blunted blade, it's a big part of their demos. From the research I've done, it appears that the biggest advantage Vitamix has is its container design. Blendtec and Vitamix are both top of the line blenders, but everything I've researched points to Vitamix being a better product. I went with the 750 a few years ago and I'm so glad I did.

    Just to confirm... The Blendtec was twice the price as the Vitamix, correct? What wad the all-in price for the Blendtec with the aftermarket lid/tamper?
    Also, I am someone that conducts audiometric testing and dB monitoring and I'm not sure people realize the difference 5dB is. It's really, IMO, not that much of a difference. Now, 75 to 83dB is certainly noticeable, and could be a difference maker.
    If within one's budget both would probably do the trick.
    Curious... How's the Blendtec with hot meals? Sorry, just not that familiar with it.
    But, great video and thanks for sharing!

    With vitamix you supposed to use tamper and liquid

    • @blackened144
      @blackened144 2 роки тому +2

      Not only that but your supposed to put the solid stuff at the top of the Vitamix, not the bottom. This lets the stuff on the bottom liquify by having the solid stuff push down from above.

      The beet is actually the hang up with the blentec. I found out if I leave the beet out on the first run I can use the blendtec without the tamper. I then add the beet on the second blend cycle with the frozen fruit. The order of the ingredients is also very important. We did take decibel readings of the blendtec with the sound enclousure off. I will re-watch and let you know. Blendtec was still quieter because of the bottom housing enclosure.

    I bought a factory renewed vitamix explorian. I'd have to say I'm disappointed. It reeked of burnt plastic or metal while still in the box, and got even worse at high speed. They included the 64oz low profile container which is too fat and wide for small batches. It also doesn't appear to display the "vitamix vortex", instead just slinging everything into the walls. The proper classic 64oz "tall" container is $170 from vitamix.
