brazilian here, i remember coming home from school and seeing this live on tv. we all hoped for a good ending, it was devastating. it shocked the country. police acted poorly and the main TV personalities who talked to the killer should have faced consequences, but they didn't and are still on air to this day, still making sensationalized content. rip eloá, you are missed
So was it normal at the time for 20+ years old to be dating a 12 year old ?🤔 it’s not that old of a case so I’m struggling to believe it

I saw this vid a while back and I'm still baffled at the incompetency of the authorities and the inhumane actions of the tv reporters.
People are morally bankrupt.
Watching and hearing what happened really passed me off. The people on TV should have been arrested.
I definitely think that with hostage situations, people should tread with caution and try to do better in terms of trying to save the hostages.
You have to realize at some point how someone's behavior might indicate what events might unfold soon after.
He seemed to like attention, and they had no problem with giving him what he wanted.
I feel bad for all the people who were affected due to this
I hate when people don't get permission from the family or police to go and instigate a situation during such an unstable and scary situation
When I first watched it and heard the "unexpected caller" part I thought that maybe the cops called this dude's mother or grandmother to try and appeal to him. As, I believe is done sometimes to talk people out of things as they may listen to a family member or friend who they're close with. I really did NOT expect a reporter to do this. As low as my expectation are of tabloids and other media of that kind..this was a new low.
This is so coincidental because I watched this video yesterday and it tripped me out and now I'm in youtube and see this video recommended to me. Ik yall are gonna be tripped out by this bulls-
