Dude, this is one of the very very best videos you ever did. Your buddy/relative is the perfect match for it and i did feel like a kid again about to find something really special. A wonderful feeling . My favourite piece is the tube radio or whatever it is with the magic eye and the totally crazy analog presets. If you make that thing work again, that's a win win and I hope you will let us know. Thanks brother. Much love as always from West Spain!!❤
Thank you and this is only the beginning!
@@ThatGuyWithTheBeard I'll sure as hell keep an eye on all of that my man
Those APC units work well for trickle chargers for larger batteries and can still provide automatic switchover on power fail. I drill holes in the side of them, extend the wires out to large batteries and call it good.
Not trash to the right people.
Fun video, glad no one got hurt testing everything!😃
Only victim was the Klipsch speaker haha
I’ve been ordering bulk cassettes and CD’s from Goodwill. Awesome video!!!
Thank you!!
Best Unboxing on UA-cam!
That tube amplifier was well worth the $20, I'd easily pay twice that for it, which would then double your money.
Yeah for sure! Thanks John, hopefully more in the future!
Lol
I'm just here for the Flux Capacitor find! 😮
Despite very few devices working, the entertainment aspect of going through the pallet and finding the contents was well worth the $20.01. The costly part will be properly disposing of the bad and broken items legally.
All the paper wax caps in that tube radio will need replacing.
You should never power up old radios without a variac
Never knew goodwill did this , no wonder stereos have vanished
I remember the days of limewire and iPods! 😂
Yeah when you got a virus every after 3 downloads
That was pretty epic. Unboxings are fun but this was a huge box! even if most of it doesn't work, I'd say you got a good deal.
Thanks what was your favorite item?!
@@ThatGuyWithTheBeard Tough question, might have to re-watch. I might say the white/ yellow bose radio. In working condition, they're halfway decent. There was soo much bose!
Be aware of polarity when plugin DC connectors into early Japanese devices like the Sanyo, the polarity can be swapped! Shield is plus and the pin in the center is minus. Most of those devices are not protected against wrong polarity. Actually it sounded like an AC-AC adapter was used in the video instead of an AC-DC adapter. If you don't know the origin and history of a device, it is always a good idea to check the power specifications, voltage, ac, hz, dc, polarity before plug it in. But, where do you get such pile?
Lenny... you have all the fun!!!
More of this madness to come hopefully
I always liked this kind of videos. unboxing old stuffs and testing it if still works. 😊😊
The SoundDock's don't work without the remote. Bose does sell them on their site for only $14.00
Man you guys are such a vibe! ❤❤😂
What was your favorite thing we unboxed?? Let me know in the comments!
Probably the klipsch powered speakers. Can you use them non-powered if those boards are fried?
I'll give you your money back plus shipping for the klipsch rp speakers.
Edit: I finished the video and retract my offer 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
that sound dock alone is worth like $200
11:09 This looks so much like my first reel to reel! It was in the late 60's early 70s. I used to record songs from a small transistor radio and listened to them over and over. One song comes to mind...'I Like Games of Love'.
Don't like snakes and ladders, don't like snap,
I like someone on my lap!
You are suppose to connect speakers before you turn on tube equipment or you will burn the transformer.
The bose ipod dock needs the bose remote control to work volume control
Yep, stupid design, just like most other proprietary BOSE crap! LOL!
actually you are totally wrong on the apc ups. you can buy inexpensive replacement battery for much cheaper. i have revived a couple of them for much less than what they sell for.
I’m not trying to be the asshole at all but you bought the pallet and it was brought out to you with the top wide open. How could you not know at least some of what’s in it before it hit your truck bed?
I was hoping it was a box of 8-track players, but I'm a mean person.
The large vernier dial box is a receiver which probably is for short wave radio
Reminded me of Brandi and Jared. Who's got the nice cans?
I don’t know who they are!? 🤣
HAVE THAT RICHOCHET GAME CHECKED OUT ASAP!!!
Pull the cord is a good technique for getting (Technics) stuff buried in a dumpster ouy. Thst is how I got my Technics SL-7...working too , I am using it now. Those were productivr dumpsters at my apartment complex cool stuff would show up after people moved out. Yeah a Technics SL-1200 mkII and SL-1300 unfortunately the 1200 needs a new lower tone arm bearing as it wss completely missing . I'll find a way to fix that eventually. For now the little close"n"play puts a smile 😊 on my face after I put a record on, close the lid and press play. Even have the brush mounted on the Stanton L747S so I don't need to clean the record most of the time.
im so jealous of your garage.. it would be a win for me even if nothing worked.
This reminds me of Dumpster Diving in the back of the local Radio Shack back in the day! 😋😁I have a working Bose 321 1st gen (2001?) which I use in the bedroom & is attached to the TV via Optical (No HDMI) 😳 and Component video input. Other than the proprietary connections between the sub \ head unit \ & speakers, my only other regret with the system are the proprietary speaker connections that won't let you upgrade just the speakers to something better 🤬🤬 . . . so I'm afraid that this 20+ year old unit is destined for the dumpster when it finally fails. 😔
Dude that was my first video game set the Telstar unit, Handball, Hockey and Tennis. The ball was square.
The Bose acoustic wave is worth the most out of the first haul.
You can make Bose cords from Amazon parts ,But Always fun
I wish I could order a box like this!
lots of fun, do that again
the person who threw this away knew what he was doing, Everything is rotten and broken
😄
That was a cool video.
Thanks Jim what was your favorite part?
@@ThatGuyWithTheBeard The Klipsch on fire, then the next scene there's a fire Extinguisher out, lol. I'm guessing the Blender was the catch of the day, but the Mordern Warfare headset might be a surprise.
Gaming memorabilia is worth a lot to hardcore fans!
I have the Bose 201 speakers and they are fantastic
I bought Definitive towers and subs and all crapped out. Good luck.
wow the ue megaboom
why why is it packaged like that and most likely all scratched and damaged/broken even news paper or just wrapping each item in a shopping bag or wrap would be ok
I get it but to have to unwrap everything would have been a pain to me
i almost suscribed to the channel , but i live in south america , and 20 dollars is not even the price of the cheap plastc walkman in Argentina ,,,, so good for you guys , but for me , it is like going to dysneyland and can't get into any ride ... super frustrating ...
Goodwill doesn’t like to trash anything… buyer beware. 😂
Best $20.01 I ever spent
Guys, it's way, way easier when you know what you're doing! Other than that you are fun to watch.
How in the world do you buy from goodwill like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😢
IKR?! I'd really like to know too, because I could definitely find some treasures that way, even if only useful for good original parts!
Where can you go to buy this type of stuff
If someone with a Big Beard took the time to sell everything separate you could make at least 100 profit for a 40 hour Job!!!!
Hahaha yeah no kidding, we may incorporate that into the next one, would you be curious of what profits we would make turning it around?
@@ThatGuyWithTheBeard You bet ! It would make a great video!
At lease you have a big box to go to the dump with. Win there.
That’s what I’m saying!
Do you not own an extension cord so you don't have to hold the devices up in the air?
check the tubes!!!! if any are good.....
What was that noise at 9:03 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Hell, you made your money back and then some with the TI-83 alone...
The calculators were some of the most profitable items!
Heavy D, is that you?
Those Beats are great headphones. Bass bias’d. Apples first colab with beats. Affordable used gem’s for real
Bose earpads costs $34,00.
Dang really! That’s twice what we paid for the pallet
i want bose speaker 😢
Video was great - the sourcing explanation is kind of iffy. How did you manage to convince Goodwill to give yiu this for $20? (I do not believe it) But the video was entertaining.
$20.01, and thanks glad you enjoyed it! More to come!
This totally gave me my weekly dose of schadenfreude!!! Great video and hope you can fix some of the stuff. 😂😂
Thank you! Hope to have more like this soon!!
First off positive negative you need to make sure the same and you never want to go more than 100 ramps higher than what it is in 5 volts higher than what it says
Dude, there's so many typos in your comment that it just makes you sound like a total idiot that doesn't know anything about electronics, but who's trying to sound smart, LOL!... You might want to edit your comment for clarity of what you're talking about!
3:48 $10. Bose
Cool finds, but it was like watching a couple diesel mechanics perform brain surgery ! It hurt to watch.
Send me the bose speaker will do a video on it from south africa pleassseeeee
How do goodwill do this. No wonder this stuff is Disappearing from goodwill .you know this stuff is used to help the people who are poor and ur rich enough ya THINK
They’re called resellers - they don’t give a damn about you, me, or anybody… let alone the ethics of what they do. Anything for a buck. Have a great day
@@218marylandYep, I've pretty much totally boycotted Goodwill because of their corporate practices and greed, and because they basically just used "Covid" as an "excuse" to get rid of 25% discount Monday's AND ALL other discounts, and even though the pandemic is over already, they STILL haven't brought any kind of significant discount back, plus they charge too much for many items, especially since they "claim" to be a "non-profit" organization, AND they literally get EVERYTHING they sell for FREE, from donations from mostly rich people!
It's totally ridiculous that they don't give better deals to their customers anymore, especially since they can literally price their stuff at ANY price point and still make something off of it, since they get ALL of the things they sell for FREE!!
goodwill have a reputation selling you junk (on the internet)
all that stuff, and they get exited over apple garbage
Can i please get something for freee from south africa the bose speaker
South Africa??? Postage is going to be super-high...
U mean u bought a box full of trash
Brother, if the dude says dont film me you cant put that in the video. just a fun fact for a new youtuber to know so you dont get omegasued someday once you hit it big.
fake!
