Surprisingly, despite all of the content I have explored as a beginner this resonates the most with me. It’s the journey you follow that is slowly answering my movie questions like how do I make a scene or get light in the render. Thank you.
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Creed Wesson Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Very good tutorials for beginners. I've seen a whole another course before, where they explained stuff in detail (for example anti aliasing 😂) but those are quite difficult to conceive and scary newbies with all the technicality. Which is the reason why i hadn't started for 3D for so long. While your lessons are so much fun and liberating! You should think of making a course 😉
Hello, Softer! Thanks so much for these tutorials. They're so enlightening and the designs are charming. I just have one question about camera rotation. At 3:45, I notice that when you rotate your camera. it seems like you have a setting that allows the camera to rotate about the object as the focal point. However, when I press "3" and click and hold to rotate, my camera only moves around an arbitrary point in space- this makes it a bit unwieldy to constantly rotate and pan to find another view. How are you able to almost tether to the sphere and quickly rotate to the top view, without the need for additional panning at 3:45? And, is there a way to set a shortcut for rotation and panning using the right click and scroll wheel of the mouse? (similar to navigating in Rhino 3D if you're familiar). Much appreciated! Thank you.
Oh, ended up answering my own question. Pretty basic probably, but if anyone's interested, I went to Edit > Preferences > Navigation > Camera Mode: changed to "Object." The default was on camera and the rotation was killin me! :)
that's the chanel ive been looking for ! thanks for using cinema 4d standard render bcs the others using octane or redshift etc and i dont have any of them ! im waiting more videos from you pls im begging ♥♥♥
Hi! Thank you for these tutorials. They're so cool! You both sound cute, and I love the aesthetics! However, it looks like rendering is very, very slow... Maybe even more with small devices like mine For the second exercise (with the sphere), it takes me from about 1:30 to 3 minutes to render one frame... As well, I can only preview a fragment of your snail scene after 10 min… I’d like to ask you, what do you mean by turning down the transparency and reflectance? Should we do that in the material settings? Would you have some tips to export faster? Thanks for your advices :) I'm looking forward to your upcoming contents
Hi! Yes as mentioned in the tutorial, this scene is quite heavy - we really wanted to show you how to make something really cool, which often means longer render times. What you can do to make it quicker, is remove the transparency or the reflectance from the material by unchecking the little boxes in the material manager. You can also turn off the subdivision surfaces on the object or disable the displacers. Or only work with one of the objects instead of all three :-) Hope this helps you!
@@SofterTutorials Indeed, after testing, I think that rendering in lower quality or without some settings, objects as you said, can be okay for preview. I can't imagine how long it takes to export a much longer video like this...! I feel like waiting is one of the big tasks in 3D, motion design... hehe Anyway, thanks a lot 😊
Can I ask you a question about importing? Can you take a static photo or image or Gif and import it into C4d to use as reference-guide, in order to trace it or better yet, to have the software possibly convert it into a 3d image on which I can work on in C4d?
In the top bar, there is this icon with a pen and a line - if you click and hold, there will be an option for a Helix - and in the "object tab" you will find the settings for the helix!
Try right-clicking on the object you want to put the tag and the chose "Tags" :-) There should be a tag called Compositing, but it might be in another group in R19.
