- This was a real treat to shoot and drive this REAL Hot Wheels Pontiac Firebird! As a kid I played with Hot Wheels non-stop but never thought the day would come that I would actually get to drive a Hot Wheels car...it happened and it was awesome so sit back and enjoy the ride...

Here's a guy that wasn't an expert, learned a lot by experience, and realized his vision quest through pure passion. Hats off to this guy, a real pulse of hot rodding.👍👌👏🤘💪🙌😍
Come on! This guy has one of the coolest jobs in the world!
You said that for sure!
You got that right!👍

Nice and clever build. Everything is on purpose. Made to be driven.
Also appreciate the channel's owner. Smart comments and questions, no overexcitement. Great channel.
Had the pleasure of seeing this car in person a couple times and chatting with Brendon at the Hot Wheels convention! Super rad to see a feature on it, one of my favorites for sure.
Definitely a cool car and owner/builder/designer
Really appreciate some of these “Ratty” Muscle cars and garage builds you’ve done lately. It gets bland seeing these 6 figure Camaros and Chevelles on repeat. Seeing something that your average viewer base can attain is great. Mike Musto was amazing with Drive in the Big Muscle series, would love to see more in THAT mold
Thats why i like hoonigans this vs that it really shows money isnt in control
The owner of this car is a stand up guy. Years ago I asked him numerous questions about my LS swapped Pontiac numerous of times on Instagram and he always replied about even the simplest things. Awesome car even more awesome human being.
It is a ZAMAC in 1:1!!!! Freaking love it. If you know Hot Wheels you know what a ZAMAC is.
It's cool, when they (electric) stop and recharge, you just keep cruising along giggling like a kid! Awesome car!!!
Duuuuuude!!! That man is living the dream!!!! Makes toys and has life-size versions of his creations.......I am blown away!!!!!!!! Daaaamn dude!!!!!
Right?! So damn cool!!
Dude, just when I thought the last car was the best and then you throw this at us! And the guy that’s owns this is hands down most talented non shop builder. Holy friggin bleep. Thank you for the inspiration
Another monster
The car is super sick but im more fascinated with the fact that he is a designer for hot wheels. I had so many hot wheels cars as a kid and now as an almost 40 year old, my son plays with them still.
Crazy and been a designer for Hot Wheels since 07!
A Hot Wheels car with cutouts. Life is good! 👍👍
Love this car, he showed me pictures of it when I sold him my 06 GTO. Great car guy, flew across country to purchase it and drove it back. Plus my girls told him to make a matchbox of the GTO and he did a few yrs later. Still sitting in my office. Great to see a stand up guy getting props for a great build that is used as intended.
Thanks, Dan! Glad you received the 1:64 GTO, too
Always wanted to send you a thank you. My girls loved it and still think it is the coolest. Box was destroyed before I got your address. Hope all is well.
As a diecast collector and customizer, I have known about this car and Brendan for a long time. So cool!
I think all the sentiment around the fun and driveability of this car is spot on. It’s so easy to underestimate mental comfort with a custom build. Not to mention this guy should be doing restomods that’s an epic Firebird.
what a great job on the build of this car!!!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love this Firebird. I was fortunate to spend a good hour looking over all of the details on this car when it was at Hot August Nights. It really inspired my AMX build. Thanks for having Brendon and his bad ass Firebird on here!
I think the best car you have reviewed, big engine, big tires, basic, fast, not overdone interior with Ipads built in!
Solid fun-haver. No over thinking, everything is done well yet just to the point that it needs to be in order to be safe and functional, nothing more than what you need, nothing less, and it’s great to actually see what you’re working with. Badass, no gimmicks, what you see is what you get muscle car.
Wicked. An adult sized Hot Wheel. Can’t say enough to both Brendon’s and Shawns point. Brand loyalty is cool an all for a 100pt concourse restoration. But how many times on this channel did they say, “The rear diff housing is a Ford 9in” and it DEFINITELY wasn’t a Ford.
My dad’s favorite rig when he worked for the school board. Their F750 Trash Truck. 24v Cummins and a push button Allison.
Just the way this guy speaks, his knowledge, sincerity and passion come out so very well....a beautiful car with an awesome owner gets an A in my books...
Love how you guys snuck in that drone footage on the car launches. Sick!
This project video >> multi-6 figure pro built custom any day of the week. Outstanding project thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 👊
💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆🏆COOLEST BACK STORY , BIG WHEELS DESIGNER & CAR BUILDER , RAD !!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Luv it - the stance is perfect and the raw look is excellent
OMG, duuuude!!!!!!!! This is killer, love it raw, fantastic build, the sound is soothing. Your videos are A1 and yes, you do have the best job in the world. Keep doing it Shawn TCB
This dude is just winning period.
Muscle Cars make me smile and AutopiaLA has featured some of the best in the world👍🏻👏💥
Best Firebird Strong and Natural 👍
Good Car,Good People,No Comment’s - Great 👍🏼 Job …..
Hi 👋 from Chertanovo Chopper’s Custom Club …..
Moscow City 🌆 …..
Russia 🇷🇺 …..
This Has become my real hot wheels fave
Bada$$ 'bird.
I was going to say the same thing as well....another LS in a pontiac. But then he tells the story of when he did the build & that deserves a pass. Back then, most people weren't doing LS swaps. So this guy gets credit for doing it early. o7
Badass Pontiac firebird. .... Cool shawn
I just chose my color. Building my passed fathers truck, struggled on color choices.. Now i see the solution. None! Bare ass metal!!! Thanks for the continued inspiration!!!!
Okay, so it's 1:30am East Coast and after jonesing for an ATLA vid this pops up. Smooth. Brendon grew up with the same toys we did and probably had the Evel Knievel ramp with the gyro and t-stick you pulled to launch Evel off the plastic ramp with lead paint (allegedly). The DIY ice box AC unit should have been a factory installment, imho. I remember those burning hot days going to AC NJ as a kid to spend weekends down the shore when it was still a fishing village in a '67 Firebird. Fun times listening to the FM radio and trying to guess the year, make, and model of every car us brothers saw along the way in the cramped back seats! Love your craftiness and roll cage PVC modeling, Brendon!
It's "imperfection" is what actually makes it perfect!! This is a true Hot Rod!!
Exactly. Rough and raw driver car
Oooo firebird👍👍
Awesome car and build. If I was to name the car I would call it RAW
Killer build !!
The raw sheet metal is where it's at.
Bad ass bird
Very cool car. Every man's childhood dream. Need better lighting when showing a dark/black engine bay. I'd love to see the details better.
I love the way he thought his toy. The little modifications on the body (the pieces welded wider and not hidden) make it really unique and awesome. This is not a saloon car, it's a muscle car made for road ! Yeap !
Same thoughts here. I love what he built
BEAST! love the home welding great job!
A savage beauty, a piece of art.
All around bad ass, only thing is what he mentioned was another LS car but perfectly executed
Till another engine design knocks it out, LS will be KING for a good while... and i don't just mean powerwise... accessability, reliability, aftermarket support, price etc... there's alot of catching up to do if you want to overtake its legacy, its going to hard to beat it... it can be found in everything for a good reason
If that ain't automotive passion...I don't know what is?
Talk about Hot Wheels hiring the right people or what...
What a great build...just smart for a user!
The 'Another LS' gripe is valid. They are boring. I daily drive 2 big block cars and you simply do not have to constantly fuss with them. Sure, you can create that reality for yourself with high-maintenance choices, but what for.
All that being said, who wouldn't appreciate this car?
Awesome car 👍🏻
A bit more damping F/R. Springs are perfect. I'm with you on paint shop purgatory. She is perfectly personalized. I love seeing the personal touches at car shows.
I love how raw the build is, well done what a sick muscle car!
Such a cool build
Auotopiala. Nice to meet you!very top -till next time!💥
I am from the South and down south we would refer to this as a backyard build. No disrespect intended. That's my favorite type of build. Really cool and you don't need a bigillion horsepower to have fun.
Total backyard/garage built ride that is just pure cool
Incredible,1st time meeting an employee of HotWheels. It is a shame they stopped making wheels ya know.HotWheels addition to factory cars ya know this video is epic, but it is epic enough to gain more traction.HotWheels tracks drag strips bringing the kids everyone
Big red camaro, twin turbo black camaro and 1200hp road runner and 1600 hp gnx,are by far my favorites thus far, beautiful rides Sean/autotopia....
I’m right with you! Some amazing rides for sure
Hot rodding at its best!!!
A couple of years ago ,I sent pictures of my 89 Geo Metro , with a 4 barrel carb with a blower scoop sticking through the hood ,side pipes, mags, wide tires ,small wing, and sunroof just to name a few of the mods,
I asked if they would consider doing a car of it ,
Instead of just saying no ,I get a degrading letter saying ,though they support girls, they won't do it .
Never bought another hot wheels after that .
I've even gotten a couple of trophies at car shows with it .
you are probably one amongst thousands of requests they get. dont feel bad about it.
@@hungryalien
It's the idea that he knew I was a man, but called me a girl ,just cause it was a Geo .
otherwards he was being an ass .
Nice to see the knowledge these builder gain on the fly, just from the love and passion of cars! Your channel is awesome, keep up the great work!
True car guy with a true car! Hats off to him and his car!
Great idea to build a roll cage with pvc first! Brilliant actually!
I thought so too. Smart creative guy for sure
Really liking it
So glad he gets recognition for all his hard work and engineering on you show ! 👍👍
Very tough, when people use their imagination and don't listen to someone else's ideas it's always way cooler. Wait until I drive The Raider out to L.A. from the Raider Street Hideout in NY.
It does look like a living Hot Wheels. I want one.
I have this one in my collection!
Some guys give me the oh shit face, where you think oh shit I hope it’s going to work out here.
Love that level of honestly.
That’s so big on why I love this show. Straight talking honesty, no bs ego.
Love it.
That was COOL!
Wow so cool car👍🏽👍🏽 plus having a cool job to go with it 🙌👏🤙
Enfin une firebird !.
finally! great to see brendonv and his garage build here!
Gotta call this car what it is A Street Fighter it even looks the part very cool.
The wheels! 😎👍
One of the coolest episodes! This build, this guy, legit! 🔥
Totally agree. Such a creative approach
My Pontiac was built in Australia with a GM L76 (LS3 with dod) and a 6L80... It no longer has dod. I make 442hp at the tire. In a 4000lb four door it skoots. If the big companies do it, why is it sacrilege when a hot rodder does it. Makes no sense to me about the brand "purity" as they call it. If you like the look of a certain car, and you like the reliable power from a certain engine/drivetrain then do it. I don't build my stuff to impress anyone other than myself and my 9 year old son.
Thats a sick build. Its reminds me of that 68 charger that was built like that
Maximus Charger…sick ride!
@@AutotopiaLA that's the name of it. It was in one of them fast and the furious movie
Go LSA at some point. Should be a huge jump in performance. Though a built LS3 would be as well. Great car.
Awesome video. That guy is cool.
I love every build you show; and I'm glad your shows are getting longer. 😊❤
Thank you! Our new editor Kyle/Suede Ops has taken our content to the next level with more detail and story which I love as well
Dude... Your editor(or whatever you call them) is awesome. Inserting the little highlights on the car part when someone is speaking about that particular part is so cool. Good job guys
Thank you. Our editor Kyle/Suede Ops is a badass!!
Are you handing out a free truck, or is it a scam? Got a message on your latest '70 Cuda video about winning. Is it fake? Please tell
@@frakplease3771 fake…someone (a bot) uses our logo and tells you to hit them up on Telegram I’m guessing? I’ve reported comments from them multiple times
@@AutotopiaLA thank you for letting me know, ask your pardon for time. Owe you

that car with the cot-outs open sounds incredible. !
Great job with the drone fly by on an oncoming hot wheels car, great shot! very cool.
Awesome Firebird I love his passion and what hes accomplished with the build of Yes Firebird ❤👍👍😎
Love it awesome 💯😎
Ahhh el tiene también un Chevy 55' Gasser genial!!! Excelente auto!!!
My 1st car was a '67 fbird in '75 / 326 4-speed....speaking of Hot Wheels one of my film school instructors in LA was SID AVERY..he made those really bad ass action packed Hot Wheel commercials back in the day..
Hotwheels in real life. Nice build. Greetings
A lion has never had to be the fastest 😉 Great Video 🔥
Great comment!
still have all my CUDA Hot wheels from when i was a little gaffer
I envy yiou Sean. Out in the California sun, around all these cool cars. Very nice. Keep up the good work.
Awesome car.
Hey I'm 🤔 thinking, you're in the correct area, that would be a cool car to, say, maybe do a part in one of the Ben Diesel's Fast & Furious movies. That's a movie car if I've ever seen one. I like it. That's a cool car. Always been my favorite. My mom had hot rod Pontiac's & I just love them. I like the look better than a Camaro. I've got a 454 that would fit under the hood just fine.
People that complain about LS swaps are free to donate to the builds any time.
That's cool......😎
Man,the cars your doing and the job your doing, fantastic.Loving it in Australia.
Nice video awesome little car lol
Awesome
Beautiful awesome firebird
Not comparing but reminds me of Chris Ashtons Ruffian mustang. That looks like A HOT WHEEL, 👍
Love Chris’ Mustang!
Computers?!….He don’t need no stinkin’ Computers! That’s a fun build.
Cool car tranks you
