- It's the new year and time for a new video! I attempt, from memory, to play "You Can't Do That" by a group from Liverpool you might have heard of. There are a million covers of this song on UA-cam, and here's mine! I nearly get it right, and I had fun trying. This is played on my Rickenbacker 325c64 as seen in other videos. Let me know what you might want to see or hear by writing in the comments below!
What, no solo? That's one of Lennon's finest!
That rickenbacker sound, spot on! Great cover and playing, nice one.
loved it - my brain was putting in George and Paul's backing vocals!
Wooow super nice!
I love the sound on that rickenbecker
Brilliant
wooow very nice!
TOP QUALITY GUITAR PLAYING
Bravo bravissimo
Awesome performance of this great Beatles song! Two thumps up! Thanks a lot for this video. :-)
You are ready to join a Beatle covers band!
Lennon was such a big part of the Beatles sound!
+J. Garcia He most likely did that a long time ago- he's no spring chicken. ;-)
John actually played the lead break on that number.
Good job bro.
Enjoy your Rick I get mine xmas
NIce!
Love these vids, you add much more than just a regular UA-cam song cover because you're pretty funny and entertaining. Hope you make more.
Beautiful.
😻
Your fun!
(And talented)
I always sing the vocal harmony along with you!
One word : great
Very good man well done, he is very sadly missed i can tell you think of the songs we could have had.
Buena cancion, tocas muy bien y cantas bien
Sorry I'm late to the gig but great job! Thanks.
MUY BUENA INTERPRETACION, GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR.
I suscribed to your channel immediatly... This cover is great mate! Congratulations! I wish I could reach your level one day... All the best! Carlos
Siempre es bueno escuchar algo de the beatles
Well played! I actually have a cover of this song too as well as tons of videos extracting John Lennon's part
Alright then, great playing of that beautiful Rick!! I also fancy your stage wear, complete with "Shea" tunic jacket in British Tan. I presume you also have the black one as well?
Sounds like the original, congratulation.
My god ....
alguien sabe como se llama ese traje que lleva puesto
Guillermo Granizo Esta chaqueta es la chaqueta de Shea. No es un traje, sola una chaqueta. (I'm just learning Spanish, so forgive me if I got that wrong. It's called the Shea Jacket. It's what the Beatles wore at Shea Stadium in 1965)
Correcto. Es la chaqueta utilizada en el Shea stadium, concierto de 1965.
Do u regret selling the C 58 ?
anyone knows what that suit its called
A nehru jacket, an Indian style. (The Asian country, not the native American.)
@@fredkruse9444 shea stadium jacket
@@rapmonster3915 Yes, they wore Nehru jackets for the Shea Stadium concert.
Y el solo???
Why didn't you play the solo
Because I can't! How's that for an answer?
You should learn it it's just moving your fingers on a G chord then you play a D7 on the 7th fret at some point
And sorry if I offended you in any way sir
No offense at all! I tend to stick to being a 'rhythmer' as John himself put it. I surround myself with friends that play lead way better than I do! By the way, I checked out some of your videos, and nice work. Maybe keep the recorded music lower so that we can hear your guitar playing better. You're dang good, and will only get better with age. I wish I had started playing younger, but alas...
Thanks I'm tryin to save up for a rickenbacker 325c58 Or a v59 but they are to expensive so I'm gonna get a rickenbacker 325c64 I only have $500 I got a long way to go but I'm not giving up this is my dream guitar
How fuckin dare u.........
Sorry.....
