"Do you take Brad for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, until death or a conveniently placed circular saw do you part ?" Aaah, those were the days...
This was one of the first Snob episodes I watched, and still one of my favorites. Every joke lands, but Brad still gives O'Quinn the credit he deserves.
Saying "sometimes the best option is to run away" isn't bad advice though. If you're with a malignant psychotic narcissist (either a parent or SO) then yeah, you need to get away from that situation as soon as you can.
It's always funny whenever I see Brad in the transitional period between his original "Slicked-back Hair Snob" to the finalized "Bald Snob" presentation of the character we have today. Also, hearing him mention "the robot", it's sad that we lost so much content in the wake of the fallout between him and the 'guy we aren't supposed to talk about'.
@@RocketMan2 Basically, he and Jake got into a fist fight over Brad's ex. After that, a lot of projects were abandoned because they involved Jake- like 80s Dan and Midnight Heat 2.
"Holy shit, is that the guy from Lost?" I exclaim as I google. "Holy _shit_ !" I exclaim once more as I realize the only thing it took to distinguish Lost's John Locke and Ethan Rom from each other was a full set of hair and a few hundred pixels of resolution quality. (I mistook 1987 Terry O'Quinn for 2004 William Mapother is what I'm saying.)
Nah, in 2018 they'll replace him with a woman or at least make him gay and make press conferences about how much he loves his knife. Actually, a movie about a serial killer who is in love with his knife and talks to it like it's a real person doesn't sound like a bad concept I want to see it happen...
Terry O'Quinn for the WIN, and I totally CAN see the similarities between this and The Good Son, namely with Mark and Stephanie, Elijah and Jill do SO well fighting back against Jerry and Henry, but as much as I love early 90s Elijah I still prefer this movie:) I adore that opening credits music, Jerry whistling Camptown Races, AND HIM WALKING SO CALMLY INTO THE BLOODY CARNAGE SCENE!! The shot of the bloody teddy bear in his son's hand before he walks out the door into lovely tranquil suburbia...this movie introduced me to the lesser-known Pat Benetar song Run Between the Raindrops, which is what Stephanie was listening to, and if you can believe it Terry TOTALLY went on to be Principal Sax in Death of a Cheerleader in '94 who's all about having the BEST school, the BEST athletes, the BEST scholars...he went from wanting the perfect family to wanting the perfect school! I love this and the first sequel so much, and the Monstervision episode for this one WAS great before it got deleted:):) AND WHY DOES TERRY ACTUALLY TOTALLY LOOK LIKE JOHN LIST?!
Damn I feel stupid it took me half the review before I finally figured out why the Step Father looked familiar, he was John Locke, I will go now and smack my head against a wall.
its not THAT much before it. Diamond is Unbreakable began serialization in the 90s. I wouldnt be surprised if Araki has watched the Stepfather movies, though. He's a total westaboo. Although there are some serious differences between the Stepfather and Kira.
Haven't seen this movie. But, I did hear of it on, of course, Bravo's "100 Scariest Movie Moments". Since the remake (which I never watched), I've been interested in seeing the movie. Definitely looks like a real nail bitter. Great episode, the best scene was the bathroom outburst.
I hope so, that was the first episode I watched, it would be super cool to see it back on his channel proper. I even managed to find an OG sgt peppers lonely hearts club band album, and am slightly nostalgic of it despite it being released before my dad was born. O and it's a great album too.
M . A Campbell Nah, this the 80’s where they’re too incompetent to close off Crystal Lake and let a Maniac Cop get away with murdering a police station and they can’t do shit to stop him.
Big fan of this one. A solid flick, and in many ways, a genre classic. I always associate this one with 'Pin' for some reason. Another fine, atmospheric & often disturbing film.
The villain isn't flat. The brother-in-law doesn't get to be the hero. Consequently, the movie takes the audience on a ride that is both satisfying and unexpected.
Idk...it's hard to imagine him playing someone evil and freaking out outta nowhere in a dark basement workshop. I actually thought that the voodoo guy in the first Childs Play movie from 1988 was being played by Bill Cosby but it's not him.
Fun fact, cop who offers Jim to kill evil Terry O'Quinn, played father of Agent Farnsworth in once scene in Fringe, and voiced Flutterguy in that episode of MLP about cursed flower.
Kills where the bad guy does it because someone notices a slight discrepancy in what the killer says are always the roughest. Remember the bank lady and her friend in In the Line of Fire?
That was some creepy ass music in the intro of the movie, Jerry was a deranged maniac. Snob having a evil moment in, the bathroom was just freaky in my point of view.
this movie reminds me of that babysitter movie where the sitter starts taking the moms place. im mad i can't remember the name of it. (edit) THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADDLE
Watch for the new Cinema Snob episode tomorrow on THE STEPFATHER 2!
Stoned Gremlin Productions i always thought it was a sock full of nickels!
Stoned Gremlin Productions : Please review Assventure Time
pleeeeease.
This is the best Father's day gift. I don't care what my kids get me tomorrow. Screw their socks.
You're on a roll Brad!
Was about to say when are you doing the Stepfather part 2 and then I see this lol
The divorce laws were different in the 80's, murder was the best option.
LOL
Kain d. Badguy this seems like a joke brad would write himself. Funny shit dude
"Do you take Brad for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, until death or a conveniently placed circular saw do you part ?"
Aaah, those were the days...
Damn🤣
Hit the arches pal!
There's always something secretly charming about watching these Cinema Snob videos that look like they were recorded in the 80s.
144p is where it's at
"wait a minute...who am I here?" is seriously the greatest line in the history of the cinema.
This was one of the first Snob episodes I watched, and still one of my favorites. Every joke lands, but Brad still gives O'Quinn the credit he deserves.
Definitely one of his best
The entire scene in the bathroom still stands as my favourite Non-Midnight screenings moment.
My best friend in Junior High was Terry O'Quinn's niece, I even met him at her graduation party
Damn! What was he like?
That’s so cool
Did you have scrap of paper to get his autograph on?
Awesome dude.
Terry O'Quinn is not physically imposing but good scary bastard in the stepfather series
"You poke holes in my story, I poke holes in your flesh!"
Lab Matt Hi! I like your profile picture!
Saying "sometimes the best option is to run away" isn't bad advice though. If you're with a malignant psychotic narcissist (either a parent or SO) then yeah, you need to get away from that situation as soon as you can.
The Freak out part in the bathroom makes this my favorite episode.
I keep excepting Terry O'Quinn to yell, "Don't tell me want I can do!" and then brad edited it in.
The Stepfather would have been a lot happier if they just let him go on a walkabout.
Wait I don’t know about this. What fallout
@@RocketMan2 Basically, he and Jake got into a fist fight over Brad's ex. After that, a lot of projects were abandoned because they involved Jake- like 80s Dan and Midnight Heat 2.
He wasn't a very cool dude, bro!
@@Bojack727 who is Jake?
"Holy shit, is that the guy from Lost?" I exclaim as I google. "Holy _shit_ !" I exclaim once more as I realize the only thing it took to distinguish Lost's John Locke and Ethan Rom from each other was a full set of hair and a few hundred pixels of resolution quality.
(I mistook 1987 Terry O'Quinn for 2004 William Mapother is what I'm saying.)
am I the only one who thinks that if this movie was made in 2018, the stepfather´s role would be played by Michael Fassbender
Or Brad Jones!
Or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Nah, in 2018 they'll replace him with a woman or at least make him gay and make press conferences about how much he loves his knife.
Actually, a movie about a serial killer who is in love with his knife and talks to it like it's a real person doesn't sound like a bad concept I want to see it happen...
Michael looks JUST like this guy. It’s kind of uncanny.
Steve Carrell

No better way to celebrate Father’s Day
Yes... but what about Creepshow? :) :)
This is one of my favorites snob episodes. 2014 was one of your golden years in content.
Him going through all the characters reminded me of how great they all were.
One of the funniest Snob episodes by far. It does not feature a bear getting thrown into space but still good. :)
The snobs freakout at the end makes the episode a classic
9:08 - That cheek twitch is legendary.
19:04 - That's some damn solid acting.
18:45 You know... Brad is a god damned good actor and writer.
Ah, the autumn of the ‘90’s. It it is like the summer of the ‘80’s.
After watching this movie I decided to myself I really do deserve that dad of the year mug
Damn I feel stupid it took me half the review before I finally figured out why the Step Father looked familiar, he was John Locke, I will go now and smack my head against a wall.
Has The Snob ever done a full review of 'The Hitcher?' I would watch the fuck out of that.
It is true, though.... Sometimes running away (from an abusive household) is the absolute *best* thing to do....
First love a wood chipper? Today on Will it Fit.
"...I thought you said you were a bachelor?" *It was at that moment, Bill knew, he'd fucked up.*
Came here after learning the Snob is going to be a dad. Congrats Brad!
It's always a good day when Brad reuploads an old video not previously available in his current channel.
Ah. I remember this episode very fondly as this is when I became a fan of the Cinema Snob and that's was like 4 years ago.
It's always nice to go back and watch some of the older episodes. Still just as amusing.
Really one of my favorite vids.
Brad, you should've done a rail off the bathroom counter during your tirade.
Would've been ultimate 80's
Hey it’s the evil admiral from Star Trek TNG. He seems like a nice guy
Maniac536 Omg, I just noticed that! I can't unsee it now.
Rich Evan’s: “This moment reminds me of an episode of TNG!”
Man, I loved this episode. Can't get enough Terry O'Quinn.
Yeah! 3 snob episodes in one week! How did we get so lucky!
Jerry was Kira Yoshikage before Kira Yoshikage was even a thing
Terry O'Quinn Daisan no Bakudan: Bites the Dust
its not THAT much before it. Diamond is Unbreakable began serialization in the 90s. I wouldnt be surprised if Araki has watched the Stepfather movies, though. He's a total westaboo.
Although there are some serious differences between the Stepfather and Kira.
Hiyato...
'Manhunter' reference? Well played
Wow, even the auto-subtitles don't know what to do during's Snob's freak-out!
I think Terry O'Quinn is a great actor! Always thought he was brilliant in Lost and Blind Fury
One of my favorite Snob reviews.
I love this episode!

'playing me 10 years from now when the anouncment of nuckie 2 causes me to snap' hahaha
18:31 to 20:13- My favorite part in the whole review.
The daughter looks like a cross between Jennifer Connelly and Shannen Doherty.
You're reuploading your old reviews? Awesome! Will we be seeing _Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band_ up here soon?
I hope so, that was the first episode I watched, it would be super cool to see it back on his channel proper. I even managed to find an OG sgt peppers lonely hearts club band album, and am slightly nostalgic of it despite it being released before my dad was born. O and it's a great album too.
So nothing came from the police investigations of his previous murder sprees?
M . A Campbell
Nah, this the 80’s where they’re too incompetent to close off Crystal Lake and let a Maniac Cop get away with murdering a police station and they can’t do shit to stop him.
Nope!!!!! He's a regular suspect zero......
Great episode. Love the David Lynch joke.
One of my all-time favorite episodes!
Just found this channel. Definitely subbing, your videos have a very "classic UA-cam" atmosphere, its refreshing.
Thanks for this Brad! Love your work!
Big fan of this one. A solid flick, and in many ways, a genre classic. I always associate this one with 'Pin' for some reason. Another fine, atmospheric & often disturbing film.
Always one of my favorite episodes
19:00
An amazing display of Brad's great acting ability!
Bing Crosby's son Harry was in Friday the 13th.
A snob episode on my birthday! Hell yeah!
Well it's been four years and I've not heard any talks about making Nukie 2, so I guess we'll be just fine.
The villain isn't flat. The brother-in-law doesn't get to be the hero. Consequently, the movie takes the audience on a ride that is both satisfying and unexpected.
About time. One of his best late reviews, hands down.
What's this? A horror movie with GOOD acting!? Nonsense! We need to remake this like a deli sandwich, full of cheese and ham!
thats the most horrific part.
now imagine if Jerry was played by America's favourite father Bill Cosby
there would be 100% more sleeping involved
sleep tight says Uncle Albie
Idk...it's hard to imagine him playing someone evil and freaking out outta nowhere in a dark basement workshop. I actually thought that the voodoo guy in the first Childs Play movie from 1988 was being played by Bill Cosby but it's not him.
The Dentist one and two are worth watching. They have the same dark unsettling humor as Stepfather movies.
Definitely one of your best works... Brandon.
Your spaz out was the best part of this ENTIRE VIDEO!!! 👋🏾
Can't have your kids murdered by your spouse if you never have kids.
Ullp
can you upload return to sleepaway camp
8:11 Nice Red Dragon reference.
14:35
And that's why this is one of the most underated Horror of the decade and is in my top 10, of the decade!!
Phew, the walls are back to normal, glad Snob escaped his kidnappers!
Happy Saturday Brad
This movie has a great soundtrack
Two words, Brad... YOU RULE!!!
this movie rules.
15:11 This one scene makes The Stepfather more of a Thanksgiving movie than any of the Thanksgiving horror movies he's done on the show...
*insert LOST reference here*
You nearly gave me a heart attack when you said Happy fathers day. I thought id forgot.
dont worry, they are going to remove Fathers Day soon and replace it with Mothers Day Redux
Fun fact, cop who offers Jim to kill evil Terry O'Quinn, played father of Agent Farnsworth in once scene in Fringe, and voiced Flutterguy in that episode of MLP about cursed flower.
now I kinda want a T-shirt that says "Who am I here"
Stone cold classic Snob.
Happy Father's Day, everybody!😂 Stay classy 😎
The actress that plays the daughter is stunning af and I'm sure still is to this day.
I didn’t know that there was an horror version of Phantom of the Opera ? I meant I know it’s a horror, but never THAT violent. 😯
M567dk Oh yeah! Robert Englund is really awesome in it too.
No monster has ever scared me more than watching that stepdad lose his sh*t! Ppl are way more terrifying than imaginary monsters.
I keep seeing that episode of Tales from the Crypt when I see the wife… lol who remembers that episode??
She was quite a woman in that. But what else would she be?
Please end well 🤔😅😅 I love this movie it's awesome let's see how he handles this one 🤔😅😅
THERE ARE NO SEQUELS TO THIS.
There is 2 one in which Terry doesn't appear in.
He does so well for so long
Thank you!! 😊
I wonder how come they haven't yet made Stepfather prequel. This character could have a crazy back story.
Excellent movie kind of underrated.
I hope you review the Rutger Hauer Zatoichi remake Blind Fury at some point. Terry O'Quinn is in it, and he's amazing in it, like everything he's in.
Daaam do cars explode easily, that's why I take the bus. BTW my name is Keanu Reeves
this movie reminds me of that babysitter movie where the sitter starts taking the moms place. im mad i can't remember the name of it. (edit) THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADDLE
Is the best movie with one of Charlie's Angels in?
That would have to be a really big jar of pickles.
