Here I was thinking "I wonder if Brad will refrence Spoony's Skullduggery review", but I did not expect that cameo. Brought a huge smile to my face, felt like good old times. I'm very happy the two of them are still friends, and I hope they'll do more stuff together. Just a vlog of them talking about movies like they did about Rocky way back when would be awesome.
I hope Spoony's doing better now--even if he isn't truly back and was just making the one cameo for fun, I'll be so happy to know he's in better health and state of mind now. ;u;
Not sure what “Greatest American Hero” is, but I’m quite familiar with plain American Hero…and now I want Snob to review that. An FMV game, sure, but if he was willing to review Night Trap (or at least a recording of the FMV parts) years back, I can see him tackling American Hero as a movie.
@@isenokami7810 Greatest Amrican Hero was superhero comedy/drama series from the early 80's. Snob used to use its theme song "Believe It or Not" as his opening
S slowly dipping his toe back in the water, he's done some streams, guested on a couple of vids and now done this cameo, I think he may do a new review soon
@@Artiyoum I know that, I was just pleasantly surprised to see him make a cameo. It's good to know that spoony is genuinely trying to get back into reviews. And he appears as a guest for game streams on conversations with curtis. Run by the man who played curtis Craig in phantasmagoria 2

I’m totally going to rewatch this episode with a double feature of Spoony’s review. And AAAAAAHH!! The pre-credits cameo!!!! Love it!! Also, what do you MEAN you never were into Dungeons & Dragons growing up? You’re Anton LeVay’s son, dammit!

Finally came around to watching this one. I remember when Noah "Spoony" Antwiler reviewed "Skullduggery" years ago. Cool to see your take on this one. Yeah, "Skullduggery" is an odd one, it seems to have a lot in common with the similar "Mazes & Monsters", since both movies stared Wendy Crewson. However "Skullduggery" looks to be the more funnier one. As for "Sledgehammer", nice to see another "shot on shttio" movie on here, only wish it cut down on the slow-mo. Also props for the Spoony cameo.
Yeah, in Tarot, the Death card signifies and ending, and hopefully growth and experience gained by that ending. Could be a job, a relationship, even just managing to quit smoking. It very rarely actually signifies death.
Its fun seeing that the main protagonist easily could fit in on a look-a-like and sound-a-like competition for Johnny Depp in Sullduggery. Slegehammer makes me think of both Peter Gabriel and the cover art for Kill Em All.
I'm just going to say as much as I love the interesting tid bits the occasionally very funny joke and the schtick of the Cinema snob character. I think my favorite part of the experience is the old timey commercials. They always remind me of my childhood in unexpected ways and I look forward to the interludes.
Like many I'm sure, I first heard of Skullduggery from Spoony's review in late 2011, because he previously reviewed Mazes & Monsters, the early Tom Hanks movie that's also about D&D obsession. 4:31- Me too. 5:40- Whoa, didn't expect that connection. Been a long time since I've last watched Sponny's reviews of this and Mazes & Monsters. 11:28- This bit also popped in my head when you showed the trailers to this and Pieces in 1983 in Film. 14:30- One word, ma'am: Nightmarish. 15:08- Okay, but where's the part where she tells him that his bike is in the basement of the Alamo? 17:04- Probably the same place Jack Napier went to after falling into that vat of chemicals. 23:01- This reminds me more of the party from Hellraiser: Hellworld. 24:45- I was also thinking of Skeletor. Skullduggery is like Wacko if it tried to take itself seriously. 30:55- *THANK YOU.* 38:50- I'm getting "baby shower sequence in Las Vegas Bloodbath" flashbacks with this scene. 44:46- 🤣😡 52:42- I doubt it. 54:30- 😲
My mom's first exposure with D&D had her pick up my books, look at the art inside, then tell me she didn't like the front cover art. When I offered to put a book cover on it, she agreed, then asked if I work with demons in it. I said no, and she was fine with it, figuring it was no difference between it and the old stop motion adventure movies she raised me on.
I first learned of this from Spoony's hilarious review years ago. "Oklahoma Smuggler" is so obscure, it doesn't even have enough votes on IMDb to show the rating.
YES! I watched Sledge Hammer on Night Flight Plus, you are doing God's work saving people time, and help people find other things to watch on the service. Not necessarily a "bad" movie, but definitely could have been heavily edited down to a shorter run time.
