Just got back and feeling exhausted and a bit scared. We saw an overturned 10 wheeler on US 81 north... so many accidents in WV. Got home at 3:45 this morning (8/7/2017) and glad to be home but miss the mountains already (not the rain). Hope most of us can make it happen again next year. This little video will help to keep me going. Love to y'all.
Thanks Craig, superb camera work! So fun to relive that party at the Cajun tent-if anyone else has footage of it i'd love it if you sent it to me (i'll pay you in flutes!)
What is that wonderful tune played by Mark Olitsky and Brian Slattery from 10:18 to 12:23. Sort of a Cherokee Shuffle as it is in A. Both gals were also great....just don't know who they are. This is a wonderful video and many thanks for efforts.
Thanks for your videography Craig and bringing Clifftop to my Monday morn! I've never been there. I stumbled upon it and so glad I did. Love the close-ups!
Love seeing our younger folks keeping our music alive.
good show---nice going Craig. I'm pleased that you pictured so many young folks. It's good to see.

Thanks for posting this, Craig. So well done as always, and flattered to be included.

Howard. Believe that to be the "D" version of Cherokee Shuffle ("A" tune) that goes by the title Lost Indian... generally played as a 3-part tune.
Thanks for posting, Craig!
Thanks, Ken!

Nicely done!
I am a fiddle player that is looking at attending Clifftop. Would like to know w afew songs before I come up.. Any suggestions?
Ask this at the group Clifftop Campers on FB.
What is the name of the first song they're playing?
nice mix:
Great music! What was the first song? Sounds like The Arkansas Traveler.
Dull Chisel by Gary Harrison.
What's with the New Orleans jazz band at a string band festival? They got more camera time than any stringband.
Diversity! These “string band” folks are amazing! :)
Anyone know the name of the tune being played through 2:50?
Garry Harrison's "Dull Chisel"
Thanks! I've been playing this without knowing the name. Another great tune by G.H.
He was a genius. I love his tunes and his rendering of the Illinois tunes they collected
13:55-14:04 seconds more inspiring than the whole 16 minutes
Agreed
yes...would have loved to hear his music instead of just seeing him
YAAAAS NATHE 9:15
