It took a lot of experimenting, but we are using a Go-Pro Hero on their Karma gimbal stabilizer. It mounts up to our backpack using a peak design clip for easy hands-free operation. It still requires a little bit of post-production work to trim out the breaks and add a bit more stablization so its actually consumable but that's been the best combination we have found after trying a few different options

Orcas island is a very beatiful place, I used to live there. I would recommend resario resort if u look for a hotel.
