How To FIX Door & Window NOT WORKING on VW Golf MK5

This video shows how easy and cheap it is to fix the door lock and window not working on a Volkswagen Golf MK5. Often people assume the door lock is at fault, but if your window is also not working then it could be the same fault as we had in this video. The car featured is a VW Golf MK5, 2007 model with a 1.6L FSI engine, but the same fix will work on many other models.

Someone fitted a right hand drive part in my left hand drive car. Causing issues with locks not working and window works opposite way around. I've been told I need to locate a module for a left hand drive car. As it can't be reprogrammed

My MK6 golf passenger door isn't central locking. The window work fine.
Would changing the locl mechanism solve this issue? Or do I have to change the module?
Also, would the new module need to be coded?

What if it’s the opposite? My door is stuck shut and the window and stopped working. It st opening opening but I was able to open it from the inside. But then I it shut on the first latch but I couldn’t open it again to shut it properly so had to push it hard to get it shut. It now won’t open at all.

No,for the driver door you need to remove outside panel from door,too complicated
