Hello sir... I had a problem with my window regulator also, no power... I took the motor out and tested it and it was fine... Since it was out i cleaned the contact pads of tha dc motor because there was carbon built up... Reassembled everything back and later find in the dor joint a cable was broken of... Old age i guess... Fixed it, and it worked fine, just a litle problem... The command's where reversed... Ex. I push up - the window goes dow, i push down - the window goes up... Do you sir have any idea why?? Thank you for your time
That's strange, could you have switched the wires by mistake or was there only one broken wire ?

Can the door card be removed wit the door shut as mine is not working and the child lock is on

Can you use the same motor each side? Or is the drivers side a different part?
I think it might be interchangeable but I'm not 100% sure. I don't have the Golf any more so I can't check it.
