I found it when I checking the car for the MOT, there was a lot of movement on the inner bushes also I noticed the feathering on the inner edges of the front tyres.
just did mine last week , grinding , rubbing noise when turning the stearing wheel , if the bolts arnt seized ,,,, ( and they will be ) its a 15 min job

Getting a bit of a clunking on the front of mine, is this more likley to be bushes on the suspension/torsion bars than the control arms?
Sorry for the slow reply. You really have to get underneath and check. Could even be the anti roll bar bushes or the link arm ball joints.
Do I need to do anything with the air suspension? Looks under a lot of pressure?
Just double checked in the Range Rover service manual, you don't have to let the pressure off the front suspension when renewing the lower arms.
