I like how the dev used this feature to show the concept art. Easier than just making said concept art unlockables like in games like resident evil
Or in the credits like Bendy and The Ink Machine. Then again it’s also free.
If horror games did something like this with the free cam mode they would easily showcase some kind of museum of stuff they didn't use in the game out of the map that player must find like Easter eggs. I like what these people did here with the game

Have you tried BANANA as the code? Also I believe there was a secret for the mouse cave/wall in the demo as well. It was unlocked by pressing specific bricks on the platform in the other room

A streamer I watched did a few attempts and tried putting BANANA, though they all resulted in a number change.

You can tell the devs had so much fun adding stuff to the out of bounds area
I think those are really nice touches that that development crew probably added in because everyone probably knew that people would do what you’re doing. So they hid some surprises in there I thought that’s pretty cool.

That "secret room" you found the "second shotgun" in was just... straight up not a secret room. That was a completely normal room you can go through in the main game.
Yea, it's a regular room, very miss-able though. You can get in there for an early shotgun before you even finish the first area, which kind of still makes it secret in itself at least. :)

Maybe I missed if you called it out in this video, but I didn't notice them at all so in case they're just absent: If you use freecam in the demo, there are many rooms (at least in the basement) where there are two glowing eyes staring at you out-of-bounds. As far as I can tell they are locked to the camera, I could never seem to get closer (or further) from them though there were definitely better angles to see them. Also, when you're in the basement but _before_ you help Ray, when he's looking out a pipe there may be an extra... well, piece of him nearby. Very insect-like. In some rooms it's right above the pipes, but in the circular room with the dome roof it's high up in the air (and could possibly be seen from the middle area even without freecam?). It will react to being shot but not disappear; making Ray disappear will make this go away, too.
There's another OoB door (I've sadly forgotten where, but it is part of the basement) that bring you to what seems to be a cut room (or preview room? I watched your playthrough but can't recall it) from the cardboard hotel. There's a camera focused on a fireplace and two chairs, and there's a "backstage" area with a ladder that says "Roof Access" (but nothing actionable, at least in the demo.)

I think that book or script you found in the garden area of the cardboard hotel could be deciphered, also the fact the company made a game called Charlotte's exile might be a clue how to solve it due to the game having a game play mechanic where you have to decipher a message.

Heads up Mike, the piano puppet is actually named Arnold. He’s also the one that did all the coloring in the same room where he’s first seen, so my theory is that he’s similar to Elmo, living in his own special little world of color in a way.

If you go inside the first floor of the save room in the Main Stage area and free cam outside the building, you can see a beta version of the Main Stage
And this is why I have a fear of underwater in video games. Just like devs can hide stuff out of bounds. People can hide stuff easily under water.

This area is entirely accesible during normal gameplay. However, it seems to have loaded incorrectly. Most noticably, there's supposed to be a taxi there that acts as the source for the light you see in the room
Speaking of the secret room 122 locked via the mask puzzle... have you tried Banana or Tomato? Not sure if it would work, but it wasn't mentioned in this video, so I might as well offer that.

I call those darker versions of the Puppets "Truamatized" because it's said that it's from when they watched TV and saw... Mean... Violent stuff... And that hurt the Puppets... It broke them... And made the "Friendly Neighbourhood" into the "Unfriendly Neighbourhood"

I think the devs probably copied the neighborhood section into the unfriendly neighborhood section so it still had the same coding in it for the doors to take you to a specific location when they're opened

Hey Mike, love your videos! In regards to Room 122, Ducky has expressed that he wants to keep the Machine a secret for people to find. Although people have solved the code, it's supposed to be a fun reward. Lorewise, it doesnt reveal anything. The Discord is still working out how to open Room 123 though!
When I saw the giant picture of Norman under the courtyard I wasn't expecting it and completely lost it 😂 I'm glad I have got my reaction to it on camera.

Something I discovered while looking around: If you go Backstage on the main stage (door in the back of the pizza shop) and enter the Flower Shop door in the 'main stage' area of the Backstage, you'll enter an unused backstage makeup room with two doors. Exiting via the other door takes you to what looks like a beta version of the traffic light room. At that point, using any door takes you back to the normal map.
The cave with the Mouse was something we could unlock in the Demo.
Unfortunately I don't remember how, I think there's a random switch or brick in the Round area before that room.
I can see why the design of Norman changed. In the earlier trailers of the game, Norman's previous design looked almost identical to Ernie from Sesame Street, the color scheme and the clothes are exactly the same.

Seeing the cryptic book makes me wonder..did we ever learn what gave the puppets sentience? I might have missed it but I feel they never confirmed it..the story explains that it was exposure of harsh reality from T. V. that drove the puppets into a mad state but also confirms they were already self awate and free thinking at this time. They already had tendencies to act out during production and chose to ignore the orders given to them to watch fhe T.V. once the show was abandoned. Arr they just supposed to be really advanced A.I. for the time period it SEEMS to be? This is clearly based on Seasme Street and has refrences to the cutural aftermath of "the war." This is a clear parody of Seseme Street which would line up percetly with "the war" beign the Vietnam War. This appears to be a Seseme Street Equivalent that did not continue on like in our world. The peak of US troop involvment in Vietnam in our world even councides with the start of Seseme street in 1969. The US would pull out tropps in 1973 and the war would end in 1975. Given MFN was active during these times and even condenced more of the muppet popularity before ending (the puppet space adventure movie took place much ealier than Muppets go to space and it even seems the more rapid fire sucetion of their media lead to their downfall through overexposure.) Thus it's not hard to believe the puppets would have seen the T.V. in a year after the war/US involvment but also while it is still very fresh in everyones memory. Just like the main character and others, US troops serving in the vietnam war would have been propegated by the same gorified wartime views used in WWII but experienced hellish realities while there and came home to general public backlash due to the socio-politcal aspects of the war. Often this was unfair and cruel punishment to worse victims of the same machine who had no more control over it but were hated by association. This social abuse lead to a lot of further truma often on top of shell shock and thus an embittered personailty. During thr playthrough, Mike questions if the war and those who served supernaturally had something to do with the puppets behvaior. The ending seems to discount that and instead recognize the post war social atmoshphere is what caused them to go crazy only..but there does seem to be a metaphorical link..people did feel like puppets being mislead once the true experience of the Vietnam war started to come out thanks to onsite media. The US went into the war with nastionalist pride and apprached the subject with eager optimism. After the horrors of the situation oversees started to get publically spread, peope felt shocked, horrified, and even betrayed by the goverment. Protests for peace and less agressive aternatives to diplomacy rose to oppose the governmental tactics at the time. Anyone involved with the war was viewed as equally responsible. It feels very similar to the beliefs and actions of the puppets huh? The protagonist is unbelievably in control with all thats going on and it seems maybe because it isn't so different from what he really experiences day to day as an ex soldier in post Veitnam War equlivelent New York. Maybe the whole thing is really a metaphor inside the head of the protagonist, theraputiclaly working through his strife? Maybe it is real but the puppets were made during the early years of the war by people with the same optomistic views and thus are imprints of them, behaving in a simlar but exagerated manner to how they did later on? Im really curious now if this is meant to be soley impressionistic or if it was supposed to really be living puppets and what the backstory/higher meaning really was if this was the case.
No. The game never explains how the puppets were sentient. I assume in the game universe puppets are naturally sentient ala the god awful The Happy time Murders (or whatever it was called) movie or Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Norman is one of my favorite characters in the game, I dont know why he just is, wish there were moments of helping him and the other puppets out. Totally get why they didn’t, could make the game feel bloated but hey I can always think about it

Those giant puppets are so scary! I hate it but also love it. Also, you should have tried the word Travis since it was in the out of bounds of that one room. I find it hilarious that they used the name Travis and powered the machine with a banana. Those that know the story of Travis the chimp will understand my macabre humor here.
More games ought to include Freecam modes after beating the game. This is awesome. :D
The duck found on the closet and the portrait found on 21:34 could be a reference to the Syzmanski's other game "Rubber Ducky and The Rainbow Gun". I think it's best if we check that game out next, as it could possibly have connections to MFN, as well as their other games. For all we know, this significance to the slot machine thing could lead us to another ARG route, similar to Inscryption.

I’m sad that Norman’s blue jacket with red sleeves didn’t make it into the actual game. But if the creators make a mod for the game I’d love to see that jacket in the mod. Shoutout to place Norman’s other jacket design into a mod.

An idea for the secret radio thing from the masks. I get the feeling the word Banana might do something. Purely because theres a banana in the machine
I'm actually wondering if this game is going to ever get a sequel because well something tells me those puppets that we found during stage as or I'm going to be so happy about being going back to being friendly again I'm talking about the super creepy ones like with the realistic teeth is stuff who are living in the unfriendly neighborhood And it feels like we didn't really defeat them in fact we only disputed a mutant version of an amalgamation of puppets and that's it.
