thank you for this very informative video! So if I get this right, the majority of traffic to your page is brought by kickstarter itself through their email list or for just being on their website? Would you consider running some Facebook campaigns direct to your KS page as well, maybe after the initial boost starts to fade? Thanks!!
You are very welcome! Yes, that has been my personal experience. Kickstarter promote your campaign in their searches at the start and end of your campaign as well as recommend you to people who have backed similar campaigns. For my last two campaigns around 20% of my backers came from my social media/email list, the other 80% found me through Kickstarter. I think I have used Facebook/Instagram ads in the past for some of campaigns, but I'm not an expert on ads and I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it right. But yes, It's definitely something I would try again during the middle of the campaign to boost interest!

just wondering, is it possible to partner with one who's project was successful and he/she start project with their account and you share some % with them?
i mean if we want to start one, and you do manage all Kickstat things and we do all the product work (buy, make, ship. etc) and share % with you?
Hi, I'm not sure if this is something you can do. It's probably worth you contacting Kickstarter directly to see if that's possible.
Do I need to include a video in my kick starter campaign? And if so, how do you find people to create videos for the campaign
No it’s definitely not a requirement! I don’t think I’ve ever made a video for any of my campaigns!
Do I need my packaging and logo already made before starting a campaign?
Not really, I can't see a reason why you can't design your branding while the campaign is running. In fact, you could even let your backers in on the design process through updates. They like to be a part of the process so if you share your progress, and even ask for opinions on designs, it can be a great way to get them involved. The only thing you really do need to know is the costing of any packaging so that you can budget for it properly within your goal.

Hi Lula. Do I need to have an online store? I would like to start a kickstarter for pendants... Opening a store is more complicated than I thought... so in the meantime, I would like to prepare an assortment.
No you don't need a store to run a Kickstarter, you can always set up a website or Etsy store later when you are ready to sell them to the public :)

You can! I update my description and images every time a new goal is unlocked ☺️
I have a question. Is it possible to do a kickstarter campaign to hire a 3D Modeler and a 3D Animator?
I’m pretty sure you can run a Kickstarter campaign to fund hiring a 3D Modeler and a 3D Animator. In your campaign, you would need to clearly explain what the project is about, how the 3D Modeler and Animator will contribute, and what the end goal is. Also, it’s a good idea to outline how you plan to use the funds, as backers often like to know how their contributions will be utilized. Good luck with your project!

Hi! I’m running into an issue with editing the project budget spreadsheet. I’ve requested access but it’s denied for some strange reason. Have you run into this problem? Any tips on how I can resolve it?
Sorry to hear about your issue with the Kickstarter spreadsheet! I haven't used their spreadsheet myself, so I can't directly advise on this. I'd recommend reaching out to Kickstarter's support team for help with this technical hiccup. They're usually pretty responsive and should be able to sort this out for you quickly.

I’m raising funds to purchase materials and sell gemstone bracelets on Etsy. Ultimately, I’ll use the funds to fund a larger project for a new invention for the food service industry. I hope I reach my goals and I hope you continue to reach yours. 💕😊 Question: do you have any suggestions for getting backers? I’m doing this on my own and I don’t have anyone at this point.
@@emanon9 I'd recommend including some keywords in your title so that people can find your campaign. At the moment, if someone searches for the word 'bracelet' your campaign might not show up in the search results, and if it does, it might not be obvious what you're crowdfunding for. I'd recommend sharing it on social media often, sending communications to your mailing list, and reaching out to friends & family to help spread the word. I hope that helps!

Why would starting a graphic design for your project cause them to deny it?

Will kickstarter allow you to contribute to your own campaign? I ask because I would hate to be a few dollars short and lose it all if I could just make up the difference...
I'm not sure if you can add funds yourself but if not, you could always ask a friend or family member to do it for you.
What about US taxes if we sell and ship a product from UK?
You're probably best off getting advice from an expert when it comes to tax. Unfortunately I'm not trained in finance etc and wouldn't want to give any incorrect advice!
Will it work on mobile ?
You can use the browser on your mobile to set it up and to access the campaign. You can also use the Kickstarter app after you launch it to do basic things like replying to comments, checking totals, and posting updates.
That Kickstarter for 5 years and I don't know how to change my profile picture Please help
You should be able to change your profile picture through your account setting on a PC. If you’re having trouble have you tried contact Kickstarter support for help?
Do i Need to pay to launch it?
No it's free to launch, Kickstarter just take their fees out of the payment you receive at the the end of the campaign if it's successful!

What’s the longest target launch date possible?
For example can I soft launch on kickstarter if the actual launch date is 6 months from now?
@@HomeBoyShithead I'm not entirely sure but I imagine it's quite a long time. Unfortunately I can't check because I'm already running a campaign but if you head to Kickstarter and start setting up a test campaign by entering some dummy details, you should be able see.

As long as you follow all of the steps and you have completed all of the required sections it should be one of the last steps before launching
I can’t show you in the video because I hadn’t completed all of the steps so it wasn’t an option for me

Unfortunately not, there is no guarantee that any campaign will be successful
