Really cool how these batteries continue to evolve and help keep our gear powered. Which XLR mic did you have mounted on your FX6 and which tripod was that?
Thank Jake for this INFORMATIVE & UNIQUE video. As of today, August 21, 2024, you are the ONLY person who tested this battery in freezing condition. You show that it works very well in freezing condition. The other 2 helpful things you mention are: 1. It provides the most accurate readout of how much run time the user has left. 2. It supports USB C charging & USB C power ouput. These pieces of information help me make an informed decision.
Question I have the a7siii and everytime I put in my new battery a warning message appears. Is there anyway I can disable that from happening? Its so annoying.
how long does it take for the usb-c charging in your experience? i just got my nanox batteries last night and it took maybe 4 hrs to fully charge (they were displaying 0% out of the box) via usb-c (anker 240W cable + anker 120W GaN charger)....it took maybe 2 hrs to charge from 0-4% and then it sped up, I hear the smallrig v99 pro charges much faster via usb-c (someone said theirs charges in 40min).....is the core swx vmount charger significantly faster than usb-c charging? i'd be worried on a shoot that i wouldn't have time to fully charge a dead one before the one in use is spent
So I ran a test. I depleted both batteries to 0% and started recharging them. The small rig v mount recharged at 54w and the nano x recharged at 15.5w SO that means roughly 70% faster recharging on the small rig v mounts compared to the nano x batteries. Which equates to 1hr to recharge the small rig and about 2.5hrs to recharge the core nano x batteries
Those batteries are amazing. I hope to get some soon! Great video Jake!
I hope so too, these batteries are definitely the best I have used so far
I am a huge fan of the Nano X batteries! Great video Jake! You really put your gear through the harshest conditions.
I saw that lol, you beat me to releasing a video about them. These has already held up the best in the conditions I have tested them in!

I use the Deity S-Mic 2s on the FX6 and that is a manfrotto MT055XPRO3 tripod.
This has to be the best B roll in any video 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨✨✨✨
thank you so much!

@@JakeSloan Wait? You mean they aren’t real? I’m telling my Mom! :)
How about comparing to the ZGCINE ZG-X?
I don't have access to any of those batteries unfortunately
Great video! Thank you!
you're welcome
Hi! Great info. thanks! Can you tell me what V-mount adapter you’re using on your FX6?
its the Tilta fx6 cage and v-mount adapter
When the video starts out with Sukakpak Mountain… you know its gonna be a 10/10
hahahahahahaha right

if the battery is not a sony brand battery (ie any other brand) that message will pop up every time since the recent firmware update. annoying as heck
