  • (0:01) First we see 2414 and 2411 heading through Corinda light engines. I believe they went on to pick up EMU 58 and take it to Ipswich Workshops.
(0:14) we see a shot of a maintenance team keeping the points well lubricated and free of obstructions.
(0:21) Coal train 9817 winds down from Oxley past the maintenance team who have moved on to the catch point on the loop. 2323D and 2313D apply some power before dropping down towards Tennyson.
I didn't to get to Sherwood in time to film PN train 8UP9 so I rushed down to Graceville footbridge.
(3:15) PN004 came rolling down the hill from Sherwood with a pretty full 8UP9.
(4:22) at Chelmer, Y888 Seaway train was almost empty again. Only 5 boxes behind 2839 and 2849.
With The Westlander going via Tennyson again, I decided to see whether 2414 and 2411 were at Wacol. They weren't! So I went to see if I could spot any koalas in Pooh Corner which is bordered by the railway line between Darra and Wacol. Two sets of light engines went past while I was walking near the tracks.
(5:40) three light engines including the distinctive liveried 2903 went west. Not sure what the other two were.
    (5:49) 2411 and 2414 return from Ipswich.
    Thanks for watching my video.
